Chasing Time and Spells(mature)

Mom examined the dress. She was surprised that her daughter had picked out something so pretty. "Hmm..this screams of Kota-kun." Mom grinned. She liked the boy. It was a shame that her daughter couldn't see what was glowing in bright red lights right in her face. "I think I can find something. I'll help you with your makeup too." she smiled brightly. "Oh, I had a talk with dad. You should know Ayane...you dont have to worry about marriage until after you graduate. I want you to enjoy your time in school. So, pay gramps no mind when we goes on his rants. Him and I have already discussed the issue." she stated, tho paused as a sly grin formed along her lips. "Although...if it was Kota-kun...I wouldn't mind you getting married young."

"I'll get it. But your not going to come with me, Gramps is treating it like a date, if he hears that you came with he'll chew both our heads off" She said. When they reached the house she just sighed as Yugo repeated himself...Tomorrow would be interesting. "Mom, would you have a pair of shoes I can borrow to go with this?" She asked while pulling out the dress as they walked inside. She planned on bringing Yugo some food in a little bit

"I'll be going with you." Yugo stated firmly as they started walking. "The ring is MINE. I want it back. I will however give you time to...chat. But, if your chatting fails I'll handle things my way." Yugo growled, which probably meant that someone would end up dying by the end of the day. When they got back to the temple, Mom was waiting by the front door. Yugo looked up, spotting the woman. "Tomorrow." he muttered while turning around. He'd find a nice tree to sleep in. "Thank you...for respecting my request for you not to enter my home." Called Mom. Yugo turned around, his eyes giving her that classic 'fck you' glare. The only reason he bothered to comply was due to the fact that Mom appeared to be the alpha of the family. Human or not, as a former alpha Yugo had a great deal of respect for hierarchy.

Ayane looked up at him as he...encouraged her, in a way. She smiled and looked back to the patheway. "Oh, well I'll hopefully be getting it tomorrow when I meet up with the Heir of the Li family" She said and looked into the bag containing her new dress. She hoped it really looked okay, she never got to see how it looked on her. She had been so frustrated that she just bought it to get out of there

"Kasumi was without a doubt the most powerful warrior-priestess of her time...maybe ever. Some of her magic must have trickled down to you. The fact that you can use the book and form a contract with me is proof of that. Also...the fact that I cant kill you...must also mean that you obtained her magic through birth." Yugo stated while casually crossing his arms over his chest. "Look ahead. If you're going to be successful you must never look back. Never doubt yourself." Yugo frowned. If not for the distant gaze within his eyes he could have easily been mistaken for someone who cared. Sighing, Yugo shifted his gaze back towards the path they were walking along. "There are a few more things I need to warn you about...but there's no point in talking if we dont have my ring."

"So...more or less most of the demons will come seeking me out?" She asked. It made sense. If Yugo mistook her for Kasumi, other demons probably would too. "So elemental spells?" She asked referring to the ones he said she'd have to focus more on capturing. She nodded as he made it clear he didnt plan on sticking around. "I just hope I'll be able to handle things on my own by that time..." She said quietly. She didnt have much confidence in herself when it came to some things...

Yugo's cold eyes stared down at her hard. His nose never failed. Tho, he had to admit that Ayane's sense of superiority wasn't as bad as some of the other humans who were walking by. "We should make a few things clear." Yugo stated while leaning down to take another sip of her drink. He thought nothing of them sharing drinks from the same cup...tho some might have interpreted their closeness for a date. "Since you dont know a damn thing about the book I'll clue you in on a few things." Yugo stated while licking his lips. He'd have to get another mocha drink later. They were addicting. "First, give up on the thought of resealing every monster you released. They've been scattered to the winds. Instead, you should just focus on the ones that will eventually show up here. Second, you dont have to worry about chasing down every single spell that escaped the book. It seems...for whatever reason...that Kasumi's book has accepted you as its master. Most of the spells that escaped you can simply rewrite with time. You'll only need to worry about capturing a few spells. You know, fire, wind, water, earth, wood, lighting, time...etc." Yugo explained. "However..." Yugo paused and closed his eyes for a moment. "I have my own objectives. I wont be here forever, just till my powers return."

Ayane glanced back at him as he started to talk and slowed so she was walking beside him. "Superiority?" She asked and looked down at her hand. "Hm...I dont think of myself superior to anyone..." She said and looked back up at him. "Do I really seem like that to you?" She asked and offered him more of the drink. "I suppose I can see how humans as a whole became like that...we think we are the only intelligent beings on earth..." She said and looked up. "If you ask me...I think we're still pretty stupid..." She said with a light sigh

Yugo raised his eye brows. Back in his time he had never tasted anything like what Ayane was drinking. He was a little impressed. Nodding, he followed Ayan. His eyes lingered everytime a human passed him. He just couldn't bring himself to get use to humans walking around freely. "They once feared us." He muttered, his golden hues narrowing a bit. "Despite that fear..my tribe treated the humans with distance. As long as they respected our rule and stayed out of our hunting grounds..we never interfered with their lives. They knew better. But now...they walk without a care in the world. I can smell the sense of superiority rotting off their bodies." Yugo growled as his eyes shifted over to Ayane. "Not just them, but you too."

Ayane smiled as he seemed to approve of their change in scenery. She looked up at him as he walked up to her and took another sip of her drink. Her smile brightened. "You like it?" She asked. "Hm...well most humans do, but there are other flavors you can get too, so not everyone likes certain flavors" She said and took a sip of it. She turned and started walking. "If we go this way we can tae the long way back to the temple. Its less noisy" She said

Yugo looked around. They may have been away from the traffic but his ears could still pick up the roars of the cars. His nose could smell their harsh scents too. Still, Ayane had tried to make him feel comfortable. He had to give her that much. "A little." he whispered as he walked up to her and took another sip of her drink. His reaction was less dramatic the second time. "Mm..that mocha..thing is pretty good." Yugo stated while licking his lips. "Do all you humans drink these?"

Aya heard him mutter about hating this place. When he pulled back from the drink she smiled. "It's carmal mocha. A yummy drink." She said with a smile. "Here, follow me" She said and walked them away from traffic and into a park where there were no cars. "Is this a little better?" She asked looking up at him.

Kota scanned over the text. He knew Ayane well so he knew when she was hiding something. He also knew when she no longer wanted to talk. Sighing, Kota stuffed his phone into his pocket and went back to work.
Meanwhile, Yugo's eyes locked onto Ayane. When why he was following her, he didn't reply. His eyes shifted away from her. There were loud demons roaring along the roads. What was strange tho was that Yugo could see people inside of them. "I hate this place." he muttered with a deep sigh. Suddenly, the scent of something sweet filled his nose. Yugo's golden eyes returned to rest on Ayane. He leaned forward sniffing her cup. It didn't smell poisonous. "Just a little." he whispered and leaned forward to take a small sip. His head shot back as he coughed a bit. "W-What is that?" he asked. The drink wasn't bad, just different.

Its fine, the guy doesnt know what personal space is, his family was really close with one another, but now he's all alone...Just dont worry about it I'm fine, I'll see you later she hit send, usually when she said she'd see him later meant she didnt plan on replying to any more texts. As she walked out of the coffee shop she looked at Yugo. "Is there a reason your still following me..." She said while putting her change in her pocket. She walked up to him. "Want a sip? You've never had it before right?" She asked offering him a sip of her drink. The smell of it alone was light and sweet.

Kota pulled out his phone. He read the text, but wasn't sure how to reply. "Its ok. Still, who was that guy? Seeing him walk in on you made me so mad >:( I didn't like the way he grabbed you either. Ayane..are you ok? Is that guy around you often, how old is anyway??" Kota texted and hit the send button. It felt good to know that Ayane wasn't mad at him. Still, he couldn't help but wonder just what kind of relationship she had with Yugo. "Hmm..I think thats what she called him. What kind of name is Yugo anyway? Sounds like...a car...or a gun or something."

Ayane pulled out her phone and started to text Kota saying she was sorry, And that Yugo's stupidity tend to piss her off and put her in a bad mood, and not to worry and such. She stopped at a coffee store and ordered a small cup of warm carmal mocha. She lightly blew on it and sipped it. "Hmm..." She sighed her mood lightened a little

"Ayane wait!!" Kota called. He scrambled off the floor and ran towards the door of the store. She had walked off without a word. Did...Did she hate him? Kota couldn't help but feel depressed. Then, he saw Yugo coming out of the store. "Its all his fault!" Kota thought to himself. Sighing in frustration, the boy turned and walked away. Yugo walked slowly down the side walk. His eyes shifted among the quantity of humans walking around. "So..its come to this hm?" he muttered to himself. Everything looked so different. Even the air smelled different. Nothing reminded him of the days when his tribe ruled...or the days he had spent with Kasumi...

Ayane finished changing and slammed the door open, walking past both of them with the dress in hand. She walked up to the counter and paid for the dress. She knew her mom had a pair of shoes she could borrow. "Why are boy so annoying...." She growled to herself as she walked out of the store without saying a word to Yugo or Kota. She'd text Kota later to apologize, but she was too irritable right now

Yugo growled as he was pushed out of the stall. He stared at Ayane, not really enjoying being pointed at. Kota stood at full attention when Ayane's finger shifted over to him. "Y-Yes sir!" he exclaimed. He didn't relax until Ayane closed the door. Sighing, Kota's gaze shifted over towards Yugo. "So..you're a friend of the family huh?" he frowned. Yugo closed his eyes. He leaned back against the wall, now ignoring Kota's stupid questions. Kota growled. He wasn't a violent person..but Ayane's honor was at stake. "Listen, I dont know who you are..but if I find out that you've hurt or embarrassed Ayane I'll-" Kota hissed, but then paused as Yugo grabbed him by the throat. The demon easily lifted the boy right off his feet. "You'll what?" Yugo asked, his eyes glancing up into Kota's with a light glare. "I-I..I'll handle you!!!" Kota yelled while his body squirmed. His nails were digging into Yugo's hand as he gasped for air. "Hmph." Yugo grunted. He dropped Kota onto the floor and turned back to resume leaning against the wall.

"Because you keep doing things as you please without considering how I might feel" She growled. She he turned to face her she stepped back and turned so her back was facing him. "How should I know...besides things are completely different now compared to back then, I dont need your help" She said. She looked at the door when Kota's voice came through the door. "No, I'm fine" She said. As Kota prepared to enter she slammed the door open. "Good lord!" She growled and walked back into her old stall, grabbed her clothes and walked back into the one Yugo was in. She pushed him out. "You, stay there and behave, you dont do anything stupid" She said first pointing to Yugo, then pointed to Kota and slammed the door shut and started to change back into her normal clothes

"Why are you so upset? I swear you're always yelling. You should calm down a bit.." Yugo sighed. He knew that humans were emotional creatures..but damn. "Bra...right." Yugo nodded. He eyed her dress once more. The sight of her cleavage did nothing for him...or at least thats what he told himself. "Wait...I heard that old fool yell that you were meeting with some Li guy. By any chance.." Yugo blinked and turned so he was fully facing Ayane. "When Kasumi.....was.....alive....there was a brat just a few years younger than her. He was a sorcerer in training. The brat had was strong...for a human." Yugo stated. "This Li...is he from the same line?" Yugo asked while uncrossing his arms. "If he is...then I should come with you. That brat was a handful. There's no way a runt like you could handle someone from the brat's line." Yugo frowned.
Meanwhile. Kota's right eye was twitching. So many questions filled his head. He looked down at his watch. Ayane had been talking for a few minutes now. Frowning, Kota walked back into the changing rooms and knocked on the door. "Ayane..are you ok? Is that guy doing anything weird to you?" Kota asked through the door. Yugo turned. "Brat, make yourself useful. The 'girl' needs her bra. Bring it here so we can leave." Yugo ordered. Kota's eyes shot wide open. He quickly placed his hand over his nose to stop the blood flow. "A-Ayane thats it! I'm coming in to get you out!" he announced.

"Unfortunately yes" Aya confirmed to Kota before closing the door. "For someone who cant stand the sight or smell of me, you sure do have a bad habit of following me around" She growled. "It's a dress....I'm going to get the ring tomorrow and gramps turned it into a date so I have to dress up nice" She said while turning her head. He was so frustrating. She suddenly felt a small wave of pleasure run down her body. "Hnn...ah" She lightly moaned before her eyes snapped open and she smacked his hand away. "A bra, it's called a bra...and I took it off so I could try the dress on you jerk" She growled while crossed her arms, just exposing an impressive amount of cleavage for him

"W-What?" Kota blinked in disbelief. "You know this ass hole?!!" he blinked again. Yugo let out a low growl. He was seconds from knocking Kota out..again. Kota watched helplessly as Ayane dragged him into another room. What the hell?! Inside the room, Yugo's eyes shifted away from Ayane. He was already board with their conversation. "I dont have to explain myself to the likes of you." He muttered. The truth was that for a moment, Ayane's scent had reminded him of Kasumi again. When he saw Kota pull her by the hand, a switch had flipped deep inside Yugo's head. "By the way.." Yugo frowned as he stood with his arms crossed over his massive chest. He eyed her dressed. "Whats that thing for?" he asked. He liked the dress, but there was no way he'd tell her that. "Oh also, I dont think you're wearing your..um...what was it?" Yugo blinked. Suddenly, he reached out and pressed the tip of one of his warm fingers against her nipple. He could see them pressing into the fabric of her dress easily. "Under armor..you know...that thing you normally wear...?"

Ayane was tapping her finger against her arm. She blinked when Yugo grabbed her wrist. "H-hey hold on a sec" She protested but saw Kota push Yugo. "Uhg...Kota...it's fine...he's a....family friend from out town..." She said. She yanked Yugo back. "Dont even think about it" She growled. She looked back at Kota, "Could you..excuse us, for just a moment?" She asked and pulled Yugo into one of the other changing rooms. "What the hell! You stormed off back at the temple and then you followed me into town?? What for! Why are you demanding I go with you" She said looking at him with her hands on her hips. The dress hugged her in all the right places, and without a bra on her breasts looked bigger

Kota honestly didn't know where to look. He ended up placing his hands over his eyes, tho it did little to hide to flushed face. "Ayane I'm SOOOOOOO sorry! B-But this guy charged right in and...and...well..." Kota pleaded. Yugo didn't look phased by the sight of Ayane changing..or her glares. "Whatever. Lets go." he growled and grabbed her wrist. Kota freed his eyes. When he saw Yugo grab Ayane the boy pushed his hands into Yugo's chest as hard as he could. "Let her go!" Kota growled. Yugo stopped. His golden hues slowly shifted down towards the human boy. Kasumi's book forbade him from harming Ayane...but it would do nothing to protect Kota from being killed.
