Chasing Time and Spells(mature)

"Yes honey! I have a basket for you down here." Mom called from the kitchen. "I cant bring them up to you at the moment tho." Mom called as she got back to chopping up veggies. When Ayane got down stairs she'd notice two things. One, that the basket with her clothes was sitting one the kitchen table. Two, that Yugo, who was still shirtless, was also sitting at the kitchen table. "Yo." Yugo frowned. "Look honey, your wolf friend decided to join us after all. I'm making him something to eat as we speak." Mom smiled. Yugo rose up from the table. He walked right up to Ayane. He didn't seem to care that she was wearing nothing but a towel around her body. "You know..a funny thing happened to me. I tried leaving this sorry human village and you know what? I couldn't." Yugo smiled, tho his right eye was twitching as he spoke. "You didn't by chance cast a spell forbidding me from leaving the area did you?"

Ayane finished bathing and wrapped a towel around herself. She put her slime covered clothes into a plastic bag, she planned on just throwing them out. She stepped out of the bathroom and paused... "Crap...my clothes all got burnt..." She sighed. "Mom, do I have any clothes in the laundry that didnt burn?" She called from the stairs

Yugo was walking through the woods. Ayane's words, which mirrored Kasumi's words had gotten to him. "I need to leave.." Yugo mumbled. It wasn't his job to show ayane the ins and outs of demon slaying. He had no real reason to help her. "I'll just have to make do with what little I have.." Yugo whispered, referring to the current state of his powers. The wolf demon suddenly took off. He was about to reach the city limits when he suddenly ran right into an invisible wall! Yugo fell back right onto his ass. "What the hell..god that hurt.." he groaned and sat up. He sniffed the air. He could smell the scent of magic all around him. "A barrier of some sort?" he blinked and placed his hands against it. The magic smelled like the same kind that Kasumi had once used...

"Craaaaap all the way in China?" She asked. Yugo wasnt going to be happy to hear that... As she walked inside she sold her mom she'd eat after she showered. When caught by her brother she just sighed. "Not now, go ask mom" She said and closed the door. She slid out of the slimy clothes and opened the bathroom window, turning on the water and quickly stepped under the hot spray. "Ugh....I cant believe all this..." She sighed while lathering her head with shampoo

"I need your food." Yugo replied softly and continued walking towards the darkness of the surrounding woods. Grandpa stroked his beard while following Ayane inside. "The sword should be in the basement. As for a ring...hm...actually..I believe there was such a ring. But, we dont have it. I believe it was given to another family for safe keeping. Hm..lets see...I'll have to look into our records, but I think the family came from China. I'll check while you shower. Heavens girl..you really need it." Grandpa frowned. Inside the kitchen, Ayane's mom had already prepared dinner. There was a plate waiting for her at the table. Up stairs her brother was waiting with about a million questions. "Sis!" he screamed as he ran up to her, but stopped when he caught the stink of the slim she was covered in. The small boy quickly placed his hands over his nose. "Hey why do you smell..and what happened to your room? There's nothing left. Mom said there was some kind of fire."

"Gramps" Aya was surprized to see him waiting for her. "Oh um..I ran into a little trouble with one of them, but Yugo saved me" She said with a smile. She blinked as Yugo claimed he was leaving. "W-wait...dont you want to come in and eat something at least?" She asked and turned back to her grandpa. "Gramps, do any of our family heirlooms include a ring with ruby's? Also I need that sword from the temple" Aya said. "But first...I'm going to take a shower..." She said as she walked toward the house

Suddenly, Yugo's body froze. "would it be so bad to have at least one friend that is human?" Kasumi had said those same exact words to him. It was at that point that he began to trust her. Yugo suddenly became very quiet. He didn't say a word to Ayane, he just continued walking until they got back to her shrine. "Ayane!" Grandpa called. It was nearly dark and the old man had been waiting for granddaughter to return. "Did you slay those beasts? W-Wait...whats that you're covered in?" he asked while holding his nose. She reeked. "You're home. I'm leaving now." Yugo muttered while turning around. He'd sleep somewhere in the woods for the night.

"W-well...it...wouldnt be the first time..." She growled, quietly, though kept forgetting about his superior hearing. "Why do you have to be that way...I get it you a great demon...it doesnt mean you have to be a total jerk about everything" She said as she walked ahead of him. "There arent any demons in this era...or...um...aside from the ones...I released but...in general...would it be so bad to have at least one friend that is human?" She asked

"Whatever." Yugo grunted. She could keep her apologies. The stubborn wolf continued to walk, tho stopped dead in his tracks when she mentioned rape. "Not on your life." he growled and started walking again. There was no way in hell he'd ever make a move on her..at least not intentionally. As she continued to pester him Yugo's growling became a littler darker. "Do I look like a horse? Give me one GOOD reason why I, a demon of great status, should allow some puny heavy handed human to ride on my back."

"Would you stop comparing me to her! Even if I look like her, I'm not. I'm my own person you know" She growled. "How rude, Of course I'm a woman...its just...guys dont do that sort of thing in this era...unless...they...plan on raping a girl so....you caught me by surprise is all...." She said. "I-I said I was sorry..." She said as she walked after him. "Come on, it'll take too long if I have to run all the way back to the temple" She said

*Crack* Something inside Yugo's head had definitely broken. Lucky for him, his body was stronger than that of the average human. Otherwise, he probably would have died from the hit. "THAT HURT!" Yugo hissed. He reached up and ran his hand gently over his head. "Why the hell are you so violent? Kasumi was nothing like you. Y-You're like some sort of jagged dagger. Are you sure you're a woman???" Yugo growled and rubbed his head some more. Sighing, he turned towards the direction they had came and started walking. "Come on. Oh, and just for hitting me, you get to walk..."

Ayane stood up when he pulled her and looked at him as he eyed her. "Wh-what?" She asked before her face turned red as he lifted her shirt. As a sudden reaction she brought the book down, slamming it on the back of his head. "Y-You pervert!" She growled before blinking. "Ah...s-sorry" She said realizing he didnt know what a bra was. "I-its...um...clothing that...covers...a womans...breasts..." She said shyly her face beat red as she hid her face behind the book

"How should I know?" Yugo frowned. "The ring was on me before I was sealed away. If your family has Kasumi's book and sword stored away...you've probably got my ring too. Just ask that wrinkly old human." Yugo frowned as he rose up to his feet. He reached down pulling Ayane up. "We dont have much time. That bird will come back for you sooner or later." he stated, though paused as something caught his attention. He noticed that Ayane was still covered from head to toe in slime. He could easily see through her shirt, but there was something strange she was wearing underneath. "By the way...whats with 'this' thing?" Yugo blinked while raising her shirt with one hand and poking at her bra with the other. "Is this some kind of human armor? It doesn't feel all that strong..."

"S-something...of great importance?" She asked and had to think. She wondered what she had that was really impartant to her...some sort of heirloom. "W-well...how do we find you ring?" She asked looking at him, forgetting to ask what he meant by spiritually bonded meant to the terms of the book

Somehow, the fact that Ayane was able to summon the book surprised him. He was hoping that she wouldn't be able to. If she couldn't, it would mean that there was no connection between her and Kasumi. If there wasn't...then maybe...he wouldn't have to hate her as much. Now with the book in place, Yugo sat up some. "No this is different. This contract wont be temporary. It will last until you've sealed every demon back into that book. The greater the terms, the more power you'll need to complete the contract. Control of my powers comes with a high price." Yugo replied softly. "Before I was sealed....I had an artifact with me. It was a ring with a small, but brightly colored ruby. Inside the gem was a burning flame. The ring was passed down through my family. If we can find it, I'll give it to you. In exchange, you'll need to give me something of great importance to you. After we make the exchange we'll need to seal the contract in blood and spiritual energy so that it binds us both." he explained.

Ayane watched as he sat down calmly..this was the first time he seemed so calm. She let out a slow breath and closed her eyes visualizing the book, she held her hands out a little, commanding the book into them with her thoughts. In a flash of light she felt something fall into her hands and opened her blue hues which widened to see the book. "This...is so wierd...but...kind of cool" She said as she set the book down and opened it. "S-So...same as before?" She asked looking at him asking if she were to make the contract they had planned out now in the same fashion as the one before

Yugo simply nodded. He sat back now, tho still felt frustrated by the situation he was in. "No need. Kasumi could summon the book with a snap of her fingers. When it wasn't with her, which was rare, she kept it under lock and key in the village. When she needed it, she'd simply summon it and it would appear before her." Yugo stated. The wolf seemed to know more about Kasumi then anyone. It was clear that the two of them held some sort of close relationship. "So, give it a try. Clear your mind and command the book to appear. If you're really its owner it will obey."

Ayane flinched and covered herself as if he were about to strike her. When he apologized she blinked and looked at him. "N-no it's okay..." She said and was surprised when he agreed to her idea about power resrictions. "It shouldnt be that hard, we'll resctrict you powers by percent...When I feel more of your power is needed I can simply state 'release power restrictions to level...90' or something like that anyway" She said. "But we need the book right? We left it back at the temple near the woods...." She said

"HOW THE FUCK WOULD I KNOW WHY SHE SEALED ME IN THAT GOD DAMNED STATUE!!!!!" Yugo suddenly snapped. He was baring his curved fangs down at her, as if he were about to strike. Yugo caught himself tho. Ayane had hit a nerve..a serious one. "Er...sorry.." Yugo mumbled while backing up a little. He scratched the back of his head. There were so many questions he wanted answered, but it didn't seem like he'd get any from Ayane. The girl was just as clueless, if not more so. "Erm..power restrictions you say?" Yugo sighed. It didn't sound right. Why should a human control his powers? Still, it was better than nothing. "Fine. You're just going to have set the restrictions VERY thoroughly. It wont be my fault if you die just cuz you fucked up the contract." he grunted.

She pushed him back a little so she could sit up. "A new contract?" She asked and wasnt surprised when he demanded his full power. "You know I cant do that" She said stubbornly. "What about....power restrictions....I'll allow your to release restrictions when I think they are needed, but the restrictions can only be removed on my word...." She said. "I cant let you run wild if you ever decided to bail out on me again like you were going to. After all you are one of the demons she locked away...though I dont really see why...if it wasnt for your temper, it seems like your not that bad of a guy" She said

"Oh?" Yugo blinked. He hadn't expected such a strong will to surface. No, he had expected her to cower, to run away. "Maybe you're not completely useless after all." Yugo grinned. It wasn't really a compliment, but it the closest thing to one that she'd get. "Well in that case we need to form a contract, a real one. Even if you can use the sword and the book together its going to take some time before you're able to fight on a level thats....effective. Until then you'll need my strength. So, these are the terms. I want 100% of my power throughout the contract. Do that and I'll keep you safe...I guess..." Yugo muttered while looking off to the side. He wanted to bolt, but without his powers he'd only be able to accomplish so much.

Ayane had given up on trying to struggle against him when he pounced on her once again. She looked up at him with soft hues as he explained what was going to happen to her city...her friends....everyone. Determination filled her hues. "I'll fight...." She said firmly. She didnt know how she was going to, but she'd find a way to fight and hopefully seal away these monsters as her Kasumi had so long ago

Yugo quickly spun back around. He pounced on her pinning her body down into the grass below. "You have it??" he blinked twice. This was maybe the third or forth time he had jumped her that day. His muscular half nude body hovered just inches above her own. "I see...well I guess now you need to figure out what you want to do. You could easily stand aside and do nothing. However, your village will definitely be destroyed in the process. Also, those Zu's were weaklings compared to some of the other monsters that Kasumi sealed." Yugo replied softly. As he stared down into her blue hues, he couldn't but feel a strong since of frustration and...longing. "So whats it going to be?"

"Well I so sorry for being a mere human!" She yelled and blinked as he continued to go on about Kasumi. She tilted her head when he mentioned the sword. "You mean that rusty old sword Grandpa keeps in the shrine?" She asked. No one had ever been able to unsheath it, grandpa said it had probably rusted shut over the many upon many years but it was in fact still within the family

"Useless." Yugo grunted while standing back up. "You see that human construction over there?" he asked while pointing back towards what was left of her school. "More of that will happen in the next few days. Those Zu's were only first. Oh, speaking of flying turkeys, I never got a chance to kill the big one. Even if I did, the damn thing is so filled with malice that it would eventually revive." Yugo explained. He looked down at his hands. He could feel his powers draining. He'd still have a portion of his strength, but he'd lose his ability to use fire. Growling, Yugo flexed his claws. "Kasumi was a first class warrior priestess. That book you're holding was her most sacred weapon. However, that wasn't her only tool. She often carried a sacred sword blessed with the tears of one her human saints...or so she claimed. She used that sword to slay demons and combined that with the powers of her book to make sure that they didn't revive. In other words, you need a second weapon, one that will help you to seal demons back into that book. I can handle the small fries easy, but monsters like that big Zu will just come back over and over."
