Chasing Time and Spells(mature)

Ayane pulled her arm away. "I know your worried mom...and I know he's dangerous. I know if given the chance he'd kill me...but I cant just turn away from him...that would mean every thing he sees in humans are right...I look at him and I see a boy who's been hurt so badly that he wants to bury himself in darkness...He needs to see the light" She said and turned back to the stairs and started to walk down. "I'll be back in the morning" She said she was still going to leave, partly cause she knew gramps was going to barge in and start lecturing again

"Ayane wait!" Mom yelled. She rushed, grabbing hold of her daughter's hand. "I'm sorry." she whispered softly. She was fine with Ayane leaving to escape her grandfather, but didn't want her daughter running away from her. "Listen..I get it. I'm sorry. Please stay here." Mom pleaded. She released Ayane's arm and took a few steps back. "I'm just..very concerned. He's tried to hurt you. What happens if that spell...or whatever thats protecting you breaks or something? Can you say for sure that he'll stop? Can you really say he wont harm you?" Mom asked while leaning back against the wall behind her. "From a mother's point of view...I saw a boy the other day...who would have killed you without a second thought. It was in his eyes Ayane."

Ayane leaned into her mothers embrace and sighed. "No...he's just lost and wounded...I think Kasumi's betrayal scarred him deeply...and he's lashing out at anyone who tried to get too close cause he doesnt want it to happen again" She said. When her mother mentioned sealing him back into the statue Aya pulled away. "No! why does he deserve to be locked away for god know how many more millenia...." She growled. "Jeez...I cant stay here right now" She said and got up. I'll call you when I get to a hotel...I want some space from everything right now" She sighed. This wasnt the first time, usually when gramps got on her nerves to much she'd get out and go to a hotel to relax

"Sorry hun. For an older man your grandpa moves quickly." Mom sighed. She moved onto the bed right beside Ayane and opened her arms to her daughter. "Well as long as you're ok. I trust you and I know you can handle yourself...just...be careful. This wolf..it seems like he only cares about one person. He also very violent." Mom frowned. "I could care less if he's a demon or a human. What I dont like is how he talks to you or how he treats you Ayane. Perhaps..you should consider sealing him back into that statue when you get the chance. I think that would be best..dont you?"

"I'm fine, just frustated again" She huffed from the bed. She turned and shook her head. "No, not kissing...I remind him a lot of that Kasumi person, I think he just let his guard down and thought I was her. He was about to kiss me, I was about to stop him when Gramps screamed...I told you not to let him follow" She groaned.

Grandpa raised hell all the way back to the house. It took a while for mom to call him down. After she had, she walked back towards the guest room and knocked on the door. "Ayane, you ok?" she asked softly and entered the room. She sighed. Yugo's presence was causing more harm than good. "What happened sweet heart?" Mom asked softly. "Dad said he caught you sitting in that wolf's lap..kissing?" Mom asked. She couldn't say she approved, but she wanted the whole story first.

Ayane was starting to fall asleep. "Hn.." She moaned lightly as he nipped her. Her blue hues opened as he called her Kasumi. She blinked as he tilted her chin. She lifted her hand to cover his lips when suddenly gramps screamed. She winced as he pushed her off his lap. She glared at her grandpa. "Seriously gramps...seriously...I know how to handle myself, I wasnt going to let him" She growled and sighed. "Your impossible..." She muttered as she gathered the plates and empty water bottles. "Stop treating him like a monster, your the one acting like a monster, your no better then some common racist..." She growled. Their family looked down on racism and the way he was acting was just too much like it. "Sorry Yugo" She called into the woods before pulling gramps back toward the house

Yugo closed his eyes. He was enjoying her scent more than he wanted to. His nose lowered to brush against her neck some more. "Mm.." he whispered, his strong arms tightening around her body a bit. For Yugo, it felt just like deja vu. He had been in a similar situation. The lines between his past and the present were starting to blur. His heated lips nipped her neck. His hand gently took hold of her chin turning her head up towards his face. "Kasumi.." Yugo whispered lovingly, his eyes softening. He started leaning forward, his lips ready to press against her own. Suddenly, "OH MY GOD!!!!!!" came the sound of granpa's screams, which pulled Yugo back to reality. "YOU! Get away from my grandaughter! Be gone cursed mut!!" Grandpa spat as he ran at Yugo with a broom in hand. Yugo tossed Ayane off his lap. He snatched the broom right from Gramps' hands and broke it. "Watch it old man. I'll killed humans like you for less." he growled. "YOU WILL NOT STEAL AYANE'S PURITY!!!" Grandpa yelled for all the neighbors to hear. "I dont want it!!!" Yugo screamed right back before storming off into the darkness of the woods.

"Ah, I know about her. Amaterasu, the sun goddess who slew the eight headed serpent Orochi" She said, happy to know at least something he was talking about. She blinked and yelped as he suddenly grabbed and pulled her into his lap. She shivered as her body eased back into his. "Hn..." She sighed, "It feels nice" She said, while resting her head back against his shoulder. She closed her eyes, letting the warmth of his body wash over her

"Yes...it was..." Yugo whispered. As the wind blew, his eyes shifted over to her legs. He recalled a similar night he had spent with Kasumi..and how she had shivered from the cold. "No need." Yugo mumbled while closing his eyes. "The Ogami are...were a special kind of wolf. Our great ancestor was the goddess of the sun, Amaterasu. She blessed her kin with the ability to harness fire. For that reason, I never feel cold. My body is always warm." Yugo replied softly. Suddenly, he grabbed Ayane by her hips and easily pulled her into his lap. He pressed her butt down into his crotch and locked his arms around her. "See?" Yugo whispered, his eyes still distant tho. "The warmth you feel burns in every one of my kind. Tho, thats not to say that all wolves were blessed with fire. Only my tribe were given the gift."

"I wish I could have seen it" She said softly. "It sound so pretty..." She said. The wind blew again, making her shiver. She rubbed her exposed legs. "Brr..the cold doesnt bother you does it? Want me to bring you out a blanket?" She asked as she pulled the tie out of her hair, letting her blond locks fall over her shoulders

Yugo caught her glance. He looked up too, seeing the stars. "Why are they so distant?" he asked while leaning back against the tree trunk behind them. "In my day the moon was so close you could practically touch it. The stars were close too. Now..everything seems so distant." he whispered softly and closed his eyes. How long would he have to live in a world he didn't belong in? He wanted to go back even if only death awaited him.

Ayane finished her plate and set it on top of his, sipping her water. She smiled and chuckled softly as he corrected his wording. "Of course...though, i'd cook for you anytime. I can trust you to be totally honest and tell me if it's horrible" She said with a light smile. She looked up through a small clearing in the tree's seeing the stars. "Hm..its been so long...I havent sat outside like this at night in a long time" She said

"Baking, whats that?" Yugo asked while devouring every scrap of food on the plate. He didn't know much about human cooking even tho he had spent about a years worth of time with Kasumi. The wolf looked up at ayane when she offered him the water bottle. He could tell that there was water inside, but couldn't understand how she had managed to contain it. Smiling, Yugo grabbed the bottle and guzzled down half of its contents. "Mmm that was good." Yugo grinned. He leaned back giving his stomach a pat. "Mm if you get as good as your mom I could see myself eating your cooking every day." Yugo smiled, tho soon after frowned. "I mean...if I were to stick around. That ain't happening tho."

"W-well...its the way its cooked. Mom used different seasoning to make it more flavorful" She said with a smile. "I've been learning from her, I want to be able to cook as good as her one day. But I'm really good at baking" She said with a smile. She uncapped one of the water bottles and handed it to him. "Here, if you get thirsty" She said with a smile. This was nice...she actually enjoyed being around him when he wasnt being difficult

Yugo was a bit surprised that she hadn't slapped him too. Maybe she had taken his advise about calming down. The wolf leaned forward giving the plate a sniff. The food smelled good and he couldn't pick up any poisonous scents. "Just a bit." he muttered and took a small piece of meat from the plate. He placed the piece inside his mouth and began to chew. Yugo's eyes shot wide open! He looked at Ayane is disbelief. "What kind of magic is this?" he asked, his eyes now narrowing a bit. "Meat...it shouldn't taste 'this' juicy or tender..."

Ayane jumped when he suddenly landed right in front of her. She let out a slow sigh as she calmed herself. "Wearing what?" She blinked as he leaned closer. She shivered feeling him nose against her skin, taking in her scent. She tilted her head a little, enjoying the warmth and growing used to his lack of personal space. "Oh..my body wash..yeah I use it every day" She said. She handed him his plate and unwrapped it for him. "Pork tenderloin with green beans and mashed potatos...try it" She said with a smile. Before when he invaded her personal space or surprised her she'd scream and hit him..she was improving on controlling herself in such a short time

Yugo sniffed the air. He could very easily smell the meat. What had him more intrigued tho was the scent of Ayane's body wash. It was nothing like the scents Kasumi used...but he still enjoyed it. Sighing, Yugo jumped down from the branches he was laying down. He landed with a hard thud right in front of Ayane. "Fine." he muttered stubbornly. "I see you're wearing 'that' again." he frowned while leaning in to take a whiff of her. His warm nose brushed gently against her neck. His body, which was always hot, had a nice soothing warmth wrapped around it. "So, whats this...tender...thing?" Yugo asked while backing up some. His body was still pretty close to hers tho.

"You dont want any? Its pork tenderloin, its really good better then yesterdays dinner" She said, looking around trying to find him. The wind blew harshly sending up a mixture of the smell of the food and the scent she used in the shower. Her blue hues looked around. "Come on you cant tell me a rabbit or a bird tastes better then this" She said as she eased back against one of the trees and sat down. She set his wrapped plate on the ground to her side and opened her unwrapped her own plate and took a bite.

"Wha??? Why cant I come?" Kenji cried. Mom sighed. She couldn't understand Ayane's obsession...well...maybe she could, but still. "Kenji stay here." she ordered causing the boy to cross his arms over his chest and pout. Outside, Yugo was laying down in the branches of a tall tree. From where he was he could see almost all of the temple. His slightly pointed ears twitched when he heard Ayane's voice. Unlike her, his eyes could see perfectly in the dark. "Take it back." Came his deep voice from right above her. "I dont need it." Yugo sighed. His body blended in perfect with the darkness of the surrounding trees, making it hard to pinpoint his exact spot.

"No, you wont. Your guys treating him the way you do is what keeps making him explode...your staying here" She said as she covered the plate and grabbed hers. "I mean it Kenji! Mom, promise to make him and granpa stay inside...I can handle him okay?" She needed her mom to trust that she could control the situation..that and...well her brother and grandpa really didnt help.... She grabbed the plates and stacked them atop eachother and grabbed two water bottles before heading out the door. She walked back toward the woods and into them. While she walked she focused to see, it had gotten dark so fast. "Yugo!...I brought you some dinner" She called

"I'm coming!" Kenji announced from the table. "Sis, grandpa says that he killed allot of people. You have to be careful." Kenji frowned as he stared up at his big sis, his eyes filled with worry. Grandpa nodded. "Good to see that someone is taking their family duties seriously..." he muttered. "Dad." Mom frowned. Kenji got up from the table. He had been hiding a long stick under his seat. "If he tries something I'll protect you sis." the little boy smiled. He stood holding his stick like a sword and gaze it a few swipes.

Ayane started the shower and stood under the spray of the water and lightly sighed. She washed her hair first and then finished with her favorite body wash. She loved the smell of it...she always made sure to use it. When she was done she went into her mothers room. She'd went through the basket containing her laundry that managed to survive the fire. She pulled out a long sleeve black button up shirt and put it on. She usually wore it to bed anyway. She put on a pair of black cotten short shorts as well and tied her long blond hair up. When she got down stairs food was done. "I'm going to take some out to Yugo" She said while making an extra plate

"Oh?" Mom blinked as she watched her daughter head up the stairs..or what was left. Most of the upstairs had burned up in the fire and Mom hadn't gotten a chance to call in for repairs. As she watched Ayane, she wondered what her daughter would do if she found out that Kota loved her. Smiling, she turned and walked into the kitchen to finish dinner. She recalled meeting Ayane's father..and how she had been repulsed by the idea of dating him. The man had worked his magic tho and within a year the two of them had married. Just the thought of her time spent with her husband made her cheeks turn bright pink

"Yeah, we bumped into one another in the city. Glad he's safe" She said and nodded as her mother reassured her not to listen to gramps about his marriage rants. She sighed though as her mother started to egg her on about Kota. "Oh mother you sound like my friends... I just dont see him that way" She said while walking un toward the stairs to take a shower. It had been a long...somewhat annoying day. But so far it seemed to be ending okay
