You Can't Save Me ((Yugo,Mature))

Benny let pit a nervous laugh. There was a certain coldness around Kate, though he understood why. "Well I'm going to start dinner. There's a wash room in the back if you wanna clean up." he told her and pointed the door Revy was leaning against. Shen however was knocked out. He was breathing normally so far, but the next hour would decide if his condition had stabilized. "What kind of doctor needs saving?" she asked and reached into her back pocket. She had ran out of cigarettes. "Damn." she hissed unable to find any. She was searching the pockets of her ripped super shorts frantically. When she couldn't find any, she walked over towards Shen's body and pulled out a pack he had been keeping in his jacket. "Bingo." she smiled, her golden eyes brightening, but only a little. She still had that 'mad dog' gaze within her hues and everytime she looked up at Kate it only strengthened.

"Only if he stays laying down and takes it easy, he shouldnt be moved as much as possible she commented while taking the cloth. "Yeah, he's lucky the bullet went through" She said. Not really getting Benny's comment. Kathrine sighed and stood up. "Thats fine," She said simply and pulled out her phone, turning it on. She texted Joshua and Kathrine letting them know she was okay before shutting it back off. She crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, looking at Shen... or to be more specific, keeping an eye on his wound for any more bleeding

Getting to the safe house had been anything but easy. Somehow though everyone was alive. Benny had brought Kate a med kit, one of Shen's and had stayed to help her the best he could. Meanwhile, Dutch was busy on the phone. Revy was sitting in the corner, her eyes on Shen while she smoked. Actually, she was on the forth one and it had only been about ten minutes since she had started. "I think he'll live. We should keep an eye on him tho." Benny sighed and passed Kate a wet cloth. He couldn't help but to admire her body. He looked at Shen smirking. "You lucky bastard." he muttered and rose to his feet. "Right now things are crazy." he stated, his gaze now on Kate's eyes rather then her exposed legs and tummy. "We'll try to get you somewhere safe...but to be honest you might have to wait a bit."

Kate crossed her arms and simply glared at him. She was bold, she refused to look away and admitt defeat When the car pulled up she got int and returned Revvy's glare, she was getting sick of being glared at and cussed out by this women when she had done nothing to be in this mess in the first place. While they were in the car Kathrine once again kept pressure on Shen's wound. When they finally got somewhere safe enough Kathrine asked for any kind of medical kit. She was given enough to clean and stitch the wounds, but nothing to bandage them with She looked at her skirt, if she ripped anymore she'd left in her undergarments.... She tore the hem of her tank top, exposing her belly and wrapped Shen's side and sighed. Some life style he chose to live....

"do whatever you want. Personally, I dont give a fuck." Dutch admitted, though it came off a little harsher then he had intended. "Before that...you should hear his side of the story, if he lives." he told her and turned away. Dutch had failed to mention tho that chances of Kate being able to go home were slim. There were many laws within Roanapur. No one was innocent and everyone was guilty. Someone somewhere had seen her face. Suddenly, Benny pulled up onto the curb of the sidewalk. Dutch looked up seeing him waving. The car was shot up, but somehow was still running. Turning, he grabbed Shen and rushed towards the car placing him down in the back seat. "Damn." Revy muttered seeing the state Shen was in. Her golden hues shot up to Kate like cold metal daggers. "Punch it." Dutch ordered. Benny nodded and sped off. He looked in their rear view mirror and then to the sides. "We weren't followed, but we need to ditch the car and hide somewhere safe. We should contact Hotel Moscow too."

"Shit" Kathrine curse, she knew she shouldnt have gone that far as soon as she had said it. She lightly glared at Dutch as he pulled her to the side. "I know okay, I'm sorry" She said and looked to the side. When he brought up how Shen had been rambling about her for the past year her eyes narrowed. "You really think that will change anything, Like I'm suppose to get teary eyes and forgive him, you dont know the shit I had to go through, and then to wake up to nothing but a fucking note, when I needed him" She growled and walked past him. "It doesnt matter, He's made his point, once we get to where ever we are going, I'm going to heal him and go home" she muttered under her breath

"No!" shen yelled, which got his heart beating faster then it should have been. As a result he began to lose more blood. "You dont understand! I had my reasons. You have no-" he stated and paused as blood began to flow from his lips. "Shit shit!" Dutch spat rushing back over to shen. He leaned him back against the wall. "Hey shen, I know you and this girl have history but you have to stay calm. Save whatever you have to say for later ok?" Dutch asked. Shen nodded the best he could. Standing up, Dutch pulled Kate to the side. "You have to stop that. I know you're pissed, but hold it in or he will die. For the record though, for the past year all he's done in ramble about you. And yes, we have met. A year ago Shen's mother hired my crew to get you to New York. I save the important details for shen, but I was the one who drove you to the airport."

"I'll live" She said as she knelt next to Shen. She looked at Dutch confused. "Have we met?" She asked looking at him with her head tilted. She had been in a very bad state a year ago, the worst she had ever been... but thanks to Joshua's therapy and help she had begin to find her own ways to make her stronger so she would never become that kind of person again. When She tried to sit up Kathrine pushed him back down. "Shut up, I could have died months ago and you would have never known" She growled, obviously still pissed at him despite the situation.

"Stop here." Dutch ordered and placed Shen down on the ground. They had made it to their destination, but Benny was no where in sight. Most likely, he had wanted to lose some of their followers before picking them up. "How's the arm?" he asked and took a knee down beside Shen, tho his eyes were on Kate. "You're completely different. The girl I picked up a year ago was broken, an empty shell." he replied softly and rose to his feet. "Dont worry about shen. He's been through worst then this." he told her and walked over to the end of the allyway to look for any sign of Benny. Shen's breathing was becoming raspy. He closed his eyes, calming himself as much as he could. He purposely slowed down his heart beat to keep his blood pumping at a regular rate. It was a trick he had picked up in the army. He opened his eyes seeing that Kate had been shot. "No.." he muttered and leaned forward trying to stand. "You wont die here." he grunted trying to summon as much strength as he could. "I wont allow it.."

"I'm working on it" She growled as she tore mor of her skirt and tied her up with her good and and teeth. Kate didnt know what the hell was going on but she knew now wasnt the time to ask questions either. She continued to follow Dutch, staying almost glued to him. She eyed Shen worrying about the amount of blood he had lost, he wasnt going to last long unless he was treated within the next 30 minutes... maybe 45 if they were lucky

Dutch's body moved forward, his arm twisting aiming his gun at the man Kate had noticed. He looked back at muttering curses under his breath. "Tie it up." he told her and continued to moving. Meanwhile, Benny had managed to get the car going. Revy hoped inside, but stopped. If they had the car why wouldn't dutch just jump inside. She got her answer as a RPG came screaming down at the street from one of the near by roofs. Benny stepped on the gas sending the car flying away from the rocket's path. "This is too organized..someone wants us dead." Benny muttered. Revy was too busy shooting back from the window, but the thought had crossed her mind. The question was who would want to take out Lagoon company? They were on friendly terms with both Hotel Moscow and the Triads. As a matter of fact, the two mafia groups were their biggest customers.

Kathrine looked at Shen. "I dont want to hear it" She said and looked away before Dutch walked up and hauled Shen over his shoulder. "Okay" She said to Dutch and followed him closely. She remained at his said, she wished she still had that gun from earlier... While making their way across the street she looked to the side seeing a man aiming for Dutch and Shen. "Move!" She yelled and shoved Dutch forward, not hard enough to make him fall, but enough to push him forward. A shot rang and Kathrine caught up to Dutch within a moment, her left arm lightly bleeding.

Revy and Benny nodded, though revy paused looking back at Kate. The girl had trouble written all over her. She was sure of it. "Alright lets go. Watch my back." Benny told her. "Maybe you should pray to Jesus first." Revy grinned as she loaded her pistols. "I'm a jew." Benny smirked and dashed out across the street. Revy was right beside him firing her pistols taking down five men who were up the street. She was like some sort of crazy gun queen. Even more, she seemed to enjoy killing, like it was her way of getting off. Meanwhile, Shen was sitting down on the floor. He knew how bad the injure was. If he wasn't treated properly he'd die slowly within an hour or two. "Kate." he whispered, feeling her head on his shoulder. "I have something to say. I swear...I never meant to leave you...I still.." he began but paused a barrage of bullets came from the opposite side of the ally. Dutch turned firing his revolver taking out the two men. He looked back to Benny who was across the street trying to get the car started. "No time for last words." he frowned and moved to place Shen's body over his shoulder. He was a strong man, maybe stronger then Shen. Carrying him wasn't a big deal. He looked back at Kate. Shen would never forgive him if she died. "Stay close, like to my hip."

Kathrine's hues narrowed as she turned into the gun. "If you have a fucking problem, blame the one who pulled me in the car" She growled and glared over and Shen seeing him turning pale. "Shit" She said and ran over to him, her hues becoming softer as she knelt beside him. She put pressure on the entrance and exit wounds on his side while lightly leaning against him and lightly leaned her head against his shoulder. "Don't you dare die...I'm not done with you yet" She whispered

"Oh my god shut it!" Revy spat pressed her pistol to the back of Kate's head. "You should not even be here. Stop spitting off stupid ideas brat." she hissed. Dutch grabbed her by the arm. Revy was always a handful, but today he needed her on a tight leash. "Thats enough." he warned her, his voice dark. It only took one from Dutch for her to back off. He turned back to Kate looking over at the car. "That would attract too much attention." he muttered and looked back at Shen for his opinion. Shen was leaning against the wall. The bleeding hadn't stopped and he was looking a little pale. "Must have got me deep." he mumbled. "Shit." Benny whispered placing his hands on his head. "Alright. Revy I want you take Benny across the street. Hot wire that car and start driving with her. I'll carry shen. Me, him, and the girl will meet you at the next block over."

"Things change" She countered back at his reminder of how he taught her. She glanced over at Benny after Shen growled at him and smiled. "I suppose I'll take that as a compliment" She said and walked away from Shen and over to Dutch, peeking around the corner. "Okay so its six blocks away... what about that car over there....if one of us can sneak over there without being seen we could hot wire it.....but once it starts up that'd be too much noise...." She took into consideration. Her phone started to vibrate and she took it out looking at it. Joshua was calling her. She shut the phone off and put it away. She knew they'd have a million questions for her when she got back to them...

"I dont need your help. I taught you." he reminded her, but sighed letting her go to work anyway. Benny eyed the slit in her skirt Kate had made and a small grin formed on his lips. "What the fuck are you looking at?" Shen snapped, hard. Benny let out a soft laugh. "What? We could all die today. Are you telling me I cant enjoy a little eye candy?" he grinned. "Knock it off." Dutch growled, though had to admit that Benny kinda had a point. He looked back towards the street nodding to Revy. The golden eyed girl rushed across the street, guns blazing. When she got across she looked down at Shen rolling her eyes. "Useless." he muttered in english. "You weren't watching my back." Shen chuckled through the pain. "Not you babysitter." she countered. "Benny how far from the house?" Dutch asked. The blond took off his glasses and wiped some of the dirt covering them off. "We're in a bad spot Dutch. Its at least six blocks away." he stated. Dutch leaned against the wall. He pulled out some extra bullets from his pocket and reloaded his revolver. "Lets be quick then."

Kathrine looked back at Shen when he cursed her violet hues looking at his side where he had his hands pressed. She walked over to him while tearing the hem of her skirt all the way up to her upper thighs. "Let me see" She said and tried to move Shen's hands. "As you once told me, Shut up and let me do my job" She growled and lifted his shirt. When he had pulled her into the car her bag had gotten left behind so she'd have to use her clothing as bandages for now. She took off her jacket leaving her in a black tank top and ripped the sleeve from it, pressing it to each side of his wound before tying it tightly. "I'll treat it properly when we are in a safer place" She said flatly and stood up while dusting off what was left of her skirt.

"F-Fine." Shen muttered backing off, for now. He knew she was pissed and that it was probably 80% his fault...well...maybe more like 99%. None the less he watched her cross. Dutch followed leaving just him and Revy. She gave shen a nod and he rushed across the street. Suddenly, shots were fired from across the street. Bullets whizzed past shen's body, one just nearly hit his cheek. When Shen got across he leaned over to catch his breath. Dutch popped out from the ally firing his revolver. The street was once again alive with the sounds of gunfire. Despite that, everyone looked calm, like it was natural. "Hey shen..." Benny whispered, his blue eyes widening. Shen stood up. He was bleeding from his side pretty badly. "Shit." he mumbled leaning against the wall and placing pressure on his wound. "The bullet must have passed through." Dutch looked back. This wasn't good. They needed to get to one of their many safe houses within the city. "Can you walk?" he asked. Shen looked up nodding. "This isn't the first time I've been shot. You know that." he smiled, trying to hide the pain that ran through his body.

"Really, I hadnt noticed" She shot back at him. She looked to Dutch and Benny with softer eyes. They had yet to do anything to piss her off. She nodded and apologised, following them. When Shen pulled her forward she pulled her arm back. "Dont touch me" She growled and waited at the corner of the ally until Benny was across. She took off her shoes and waited for his signal and quietly ran across. She pressed her back up to the wall and took her glasses off and put them in her pocket.

"I didn't leave you behind!!!!!" shen screamed, and probably louder then he ever had at her. He paused for a moment, trying to take a moment to calm himself, though he did glare at her when she swiped his cigarette. "Allot of things have changed.." he muttered before Dutch came walking up to them. Benny was on the look out at the other end of the allyway. "Like I said, we dont have time for this. You two can work on your relationship AFTER we get somewhere safe." he stated. Revy let out a long sigh. She looked at Shen saying something in chinese to him. "Just leave her alone." Shen frowned and grabbed Revy by the arm leading her away from Kate. It was crystal clear. Revy didn't like Kate, but then again there wasn't that many people she did like anyway. "Are we clear?" dutch asled Benny. The blond nodding looking back at the rest of the group. "Ok. One at a time we'll cross the street and go into the next ally. When you get across dont stop. Revy, you back us up." Dutch instructed. Shen looked back pulling Kate in front of him. "Benny will cross. I want you to cross after he does. I'll be watching." he stated. Revy let out a snort and muttered something in chinese again. Shen looked up tempted to smack her. "I dont need a gun. I'm not like you."

Kathrine glared at Shen as he kept her down. When they got out of the car she looked at Revy as the gun was pressed to her cheek. Kathrine stared Revy down without a word. She honestly didnt recall Revy, she had been too far gone when they had encountered on another. Kathrine's hues focused on Shen now as he questioned her. Her violet hues sharpened as he yelled at her. "I'm doing what you wanted me to do with my life!" She shot back at him. "Your the one who told me to work and study hard, to rise up and things would get better, I was invited here by one of the schools most generous donators because he is interested in my work" She growled at him. "And what does it matter to you! What do you care what I do or where I go, your the one who just left me behind with a note saying we'd see eachother again soon!...." She yelled. She was hurting...she was putting on a brave face to keep herself from crying and screaming at him... this wasnt the time nor the place. Seeing him take the cigarette she walked right up to him and pulled it away from his lips. "Since when do you smoke" She growled while throwing it to the ground

Shen stared up at Kate in disbelief. WAs this really her? Growling, he ignored his injures and tossed her down on the floor right behind the front seats. "Stay here." he ordered. His once bright brown eyes had become somewhat cold compared to how they use to be. It took about an hour for Benny to lose the guys chasing them. Lucky for them, fire fights in Roanapur were pretty common so it wasn't like they'd have to worry about the cops. Benny pulled into a dark allyway. The car, which they had stolen, was in pieces. "Well thats one way to wake Revy up." he joked. Shen didn't seem amused though. He got out of the car and pulled Kate out just in time for Revy to shove a pistol in her face. "This brat look familiar yea?" she asked and pressed the end of one of her pistols into Kate's cheek. She leaned in close continuing with her broken english so Kate could understand. "Can you guys give us a moment?" Shen asked. "Now's not the time." Dutch sighed and pulled out a revolver from the back of his pants. "For now the girl comes with us. Lets go." he ordered. Shen closed his eyes letting out a frustrated sigh. "Why?" he asked, his eyes on Kate now. "Why would you come here? Do have any idea how dangerous this island is?" he asked. Revy let out a hard laugh and walked up to shen offering him a smoke. "Maybe she stupid, yea?" she smirked. Shen gladly took the cigarette and lit it right in front of Kate. "Shut up Revy." he growled, giving the girl the sharpest of glares. She didn't back down though, no...she seemed to feed upon his glare more then anything.

Kathrine barly glanced at Revy as she cursed her out. When the glass Shattered Kate blinked as she felt Shen pull her under him. "Fucking brat this" She growled, grabbing one of the guns that had fallen on the floor. During her months of...treatment she had taken up many hobbies to help ease her stress... Kathrine pushed past Shen's arms and peeked up over the seat. She sat up and fired twice, hitting the tires of one of the pursuing car making it veer off and crash into building. Kathrine was quick to duck down after shooting. She had become....much stronger

It was amazing that Kate was able to treat Shen while Benny threw everyone from one side of the car to the other. Revy sat down in her seed to swap out her ammo. Her golden hues hit Kate like a thousand bee stings. "Who the fuck is this bitch?" she screamed. Dutch looked back from his seat up front. "Wait...is that?" he paused as Shen sat up waving his hand. "I'll explain later." he muttered. "Shen this aint no joke!" Revy spat in her broken english. "We aint got time babysit no fuckin brats!" she lashed out. The glass from the rear window suddenly shattered. Shen pulled Kate on top of him placing his hands above her head. Meanwhile Revy fired right back nailing on of their pursuers right between the eyes sending the car into a wall. "Dutch talk to me!" Shen called out. Lagoon's leader bit his bottom lip. "It was a set up. We'll get somewhere safe and sort it out then."
