Fire & Ice II: Age of Rebirth(private/mature/continued)

Soara took her brothers hand as she was lifted to her feet. "I...i guess so..." she mumbled. Hearing the noise Soara looked over spotting the chains she screamed. "Dad no!" She ran after him but he was gone before she got there. She fell over as she watched Dai. Kiku meanwhile was trying to climb up the platform. She fell back as the wind came. As did everyone else. Daichi had ended up passing out as the marks were stil etched onto his skin. Since Dai had no use for him his body shut down tempoarly.
Spotting Yugos falling body Soara ran forward catching her father. Seeing the lifeless look she sobbd. "Dad no...dady..." she cried. Kiku ran to her daughters side. "Yugo, love wake up!l she begged.

"Yes daddy...its me.." Ama smiled as a single tear rolled down her cheek. Titus came running up to Soara and helped her up. There was a clear bruise let on her cheek from where she had been hit. Unfortunately, Soara was the one with the healing powers, not Titus. All he could do was help his sister up. "Soara...are you ok?" Titus asked softly. He looked up seeing his mother trying to stop the bleeding. Yugo let out a pain growl. He forced himself up though and dug his claws into the ground. "Your brothers sure knows how to punch..." he muttered and looked up. It looked like Ama had managed to reach her father.
"If you want something done right..." Dai muttered as a series of dark chains fired off towards Yugo! The chains pierced right through his body and wrapped around and around tightly. "Do it yourself..." he sighed and with a hard yank, pulled Yugo's body all the way up onto the platform slamming his body into the earth below. "Now then..." Dai smirked as he began to flip through a few pages of the book. He yanked hard on Yugo's chains forcing him up to his knees. Suddenly, Dai grabbed hold of the back of Yugo's head with one hand while the other held the book open ready to recite his spell.

-"What lies beyond the furthest depths of the king's eye?"
Suddenly, Yugo's eyes shot wide open! His entire body began to glow bright white.
-"The place where all kings are born, and where all will return. The promise land."

Suddenly, the clouds above parted! Whatever spell Dai was casting seemed to have some effect on the sky above. Looking on, Dai continued and gripped the back of Yugo's head harder. -"The path the ancients descend upon" he read before continuing with the answer to the riddle. It had taken him a life time to gather everything he needed. -"The path of eternal fire. The OtherWorld"

Just then, the glow around Yugo's body turned bright blue. His eyes rolled back as streaks of fire formed what looked like some sort of circle in the sky. Was Dai summoning something? Finally, Dai removed his hand from the back of Yugo's head. Suddenly, he plunged his claws deep into the alpha's back! Not a trace of sound came from Yugo's lips however. From his back, Dai pulled out what looked to be a firey blue orb. He then looked back down to his book to finish the spell -"Now, what lies beyond the farthest reaches of the heavens?" -"That which guides a king's soul back to his kingdom. The gate of Truth."

Suddenly, a truly massive stone gate came rising out from the flaming circle that had been formed within the sky above. Everything was coming together! This was what Dai had been waiting for. He reached up and shot the orb he had taken from Yugo's body up towards the doors to the gate. The clash unleashed a harsh shockwave that knocked both Nagi and the carriage over. Dai watched with most malicious of grins as the gate opened slowly. He looked down eyeing Yugo before kicking his body off the platform. Dai's body was then sucked up into the gate!
Meanwhile, Yugo laid at the bottom of the platform, his eyes completely void. His body as pale as a fish's belly...

Daichi grinned at the order. "Hope youve enjoyed your life." He charged punching Soara in the face. She fell to the ground with a cry of pain. His increased strength wasobvious. Daichi was about to attack again when Ama stepped in. "Girl move!" He hissed. Then he stopped as she pleaded with him the feel of her hand made his eyes flutter. "I...i..." he stammered.
Kiku looked at Nagi "no hes not pregnant go!" She growled. Before making her way to Yugo. At the sight she began to cry. "Oh god.." she sobbed. Reaching out sh put pressure on the wound trying to stop the bleeding.

"How annoying..." Dai growled as he watched Soara's attempts to disrupt Daichi. Unfortunately for her, Dai had only promised that no harm would come to Daichi immediate family which meant that Soara was fair game. "Kill her." Dai ordered.
Meanwhile, Yugo was just barely awake. He could see what looked like the image of his daughter. His eyes just barely began to flutter as blood ran down his back soaking his shirt. "Soara...dont...go back to your mother..." he mumbled.

"B-But...nii-sama is...!" Nagi exclaimed. She couldn't stand feeling so powerless! Ama bit down on her bottom lip. She couldn't let her father play into Dai's hands. Like the wind, her body rushed forward! She placed herself right infront of Daichi and Soara. "Daddy please stop!" She begged and stretched her hands out. "You remember me right? Its me, Amaterstu! You remember right? You held me when I was baby. You hate it when I tease you. You taught me how to walk, how to run, and you helped me when I first started learning how to use ice! You remember right? You were there on all my birthdays. You...You always thought up a different way to surprise me. You always went out of your way to make me feel special, like I was the only one that matter. Daddy...please...I'm begging you.." Ama sobbed softly. She walked up to her dad and gently placed her hands on his cheek...

Ic: Soara also left the carriage following the ohers. Spotting her mother and father she began to cry again. Spotting the book her face fell. Howver her attention turned to Daichi who was grabbing her father dragging him to the pillar. "NO!" She charged Daichi knocking him to the ground. Daichi growled "You little bitch!" He snarled. Grabbing her he flung her off. He went to return to hi task but Soara came at him again. "Little girl! Youre testing my patients!" He growled.

Kiku took her sons help slowly standing but still in pain. "Nagi stay out of ityoure pregnant." She said worried for the baby.

ooc: remember that Dai is standing on a high eathern platform. He's not on the same level as everyone else lol

ic: The elder's eye's lazily shifted towards Kiku. He had no interest in her, none at all. As her punch came towards him a sudden burst of dark flame surrounded his body. "You're in the way." he mumbled and clapped his hands again. A large wall of earth suddenly shot up right in front of her, slamming into her body.
For a moment, Yugo thought he had reached Daichi. He watched in horror as his brother-in-law was once again taken over. Yugo let out a dark hiss. He extended his claws and super heated the air around his body melting the ice that surrounded his feet. From there, he began to weave his way in and out of the raining icecles. Unfortunately, his eyes were still filled with blood so he couldn't dodge them all. Several pierced through his shoulder spilling red spots of crimson over the ground. This was harder then what Yugo thought. How could he fight Daichi without killing hi,? Nagi would never forgive him, neither would Ama. Yugo suddenly came to a stop. He'd have to find a way to pin Daichi down. Seeing the incoming Ice shard, Yugo shot another fire blast at it. For that moment, he lost sight of Daichi.

Titus had got out of the carriage. His eyes shot wide open as he watched Daichi thrust a dagger into YUgo's back! The alpha let out a pained cry that echoed for miles and miles! Titus didn't know what to do. Suddenly, he spotted his mother laying on the ground. He ran over to her side. Ama, who had gotten tired of staying put, ran after him. "Ama dont!" Nagi screamed and got out, she wasn't able to run though. "Very nice." Elder Dai grinned darkly. His golden hues locked onto Yugo, who had been forced to his knees. "Now my puppet, bring him up here." Dai commanded. From inside his cloak he retrieved a black covered book. IT was the same book that had been stolen from Jann! How ironic was it that the same book was now in Dai's claws?

Soara looked up wiping at the tears. "Mom do something!" She begge. Kiku frowned "stay hre." She ordered. Knowing that Titus would jumped out if Kiku didnt move. Stepping out she shut the door. As soon as Yugo was distracted she charged Elder Dai. Swinging a punch at him.

Daichi groaned as he was punched in the face. "Wha-" he looked around hazy. Then he felt the mark stretch further "ah!" He screamed as his whole body seemingly moved on its own. Daichi wasnt even there mentally. "Lets finish this." He said with a smirk. Jumping he sent a giant shower of icecles raining on Yugo before landing and sending another one. Before appearing behind him he grabbed a knife swinging to stab Yugo in the back.

"No..we have to do something!" Ama yelled. She couldn't believe that all her mom could do was cry in this situation. "Whats wrong with dad? Why is he attacking uncle Yu-san?" Ama asked and looked down at her mother. Nagi couldn't answer. She took Kiku's help though and rose to her feet. Inside the carriage, Titus was holding his sister. He didn't understand what was going on either. Frowning, he got up from his seat and poked his head outside. "Mom dont worry about us! Go help dad!" Titus yelled. IF she wouldn't, then he would.
Meanwhile, Yugo thrusts his fists forward unleashing more fire balls to counter Daichi's ice. He was caught by the sudden freezing of the ground though and was unable to avoid Daichi's punch. Yugo leaned over as he was punched. He tucked in his stomach muscles helping to absorb a little of the impact. With his left hand, Yugo grabbed hold of Daichi's shirt as he cocked his right fist back. "WAKE THE FUCK UP!" he spat as he drove his fist into Daichi's face!! Elder Dai looked on with interest. Daichi was doing a pretty good job. Still, it wasn't enough. "Time is short." he muttered and stretched out his right hand again. "Perhaps another push is in order?" the elder grinned as he gave Daichi's powers another 'boost' causing all his body to be consumed by the tattoo...

Kiku's eyes widened as she was pulled back. "Bbbut!" She replied. However she didnt argue as she saw Ama emergin. Going to Nagi she pulled her up. "You need to get in the carriage." She whispered. "Ama in now!" She ordered. Soara was sobing into Titus as she didnt understand what was going on.
"You think you can kill me?" Daichi grinned. "I told you Daichi is NOT here!" He screamed charging Yugo once more. He slapped te ground as ice sped towards Yugo encasing his feet before Daichi fired icecle after icecle at him before going to punch him in the stomach.

"Daichi stop it!" Yugo roared. He raised his hands and shot out several fire balls to counter the ice shards. When he saw Kiku rushing towards the elder, he bolted away from Daichi to cut her off. Elder Dai stood his ground, his grin widening, Just in time, Yugo reached out and grabbed Kiku by the shoulder and practically yanked her back. "I told you stay back!" he snapped bitterly. "The twins, keep them safe till I sort this out." he growled, though suddenly turned towards the elder. Kiku was right. This was all his doing. Yugo could plainly see that. At that moment, Ama stepped out of the carriage. Nagi was on her knees crying. There wasn't a thing she could do. Daichi wasn't even responding to her voice. Also, what was with that look in his eyes? She had never seen so...so much hate, not from him.

"Get back to the carriage Kiku..." Yugo mumbled before turning to rush the elder. Elder Dai grinned and clapped his hands together before pressing them down into the ground. Suddenly, the earth shot up right in front of Yugo! The sudden rise of earth had nailed the alpha right under the chin sending him spiraling back several feet. Dai now grinned down from his position above. Yugo slowly sat up. There was a river of blood flowing down his lips. "That bastard can use the earth element?" he spat and forced himself up. His eyes came to rest on Daichi once more. "Daichi...I really dont wanna kill you. Stop this. Better yet, turn your attention towards Elder Dai!"

Daichi hissed as Yugo grabbed his wrist. "Let go you fucking dog!" He screamed. The feel of Yugos knee sent him flying off. He growled as he stoo. "You piece of shit!" He snarled. His attentioned turned towards his wife. He laughed wickedly "you'd lik that wouldnt you?" He smirked. He cocked his head to the side as he looked at Yugo. "I'm sorry Daichi's not here right now!" He snapped. Holding out his hand as a giat icecle flew at Yugo followed by several more. Daichi charged after them.
"Daichi stop!" Kiku yelld. She went to step forward but stopped as Yugo yeled at her. Freezing she looked at Nagi as Kiku also began to cry. She turned spotting elder Dai. "This is your fault!" She charged at him.

Everything had happened so fast. Yugo hadn't had any time to react at all. He had felt something harsh clash into his back. The next thing he knew, he was on the ground taking blows to the face. He raised his arms to block the best he could. What was happening? Who was punching him? Yugo peeked through his guard. Blood was trickling down the side of his face making it hard to see. Everything was red..

Titus couldn't believe what was happening! Why was his uncle attacking his father. He was about to take a step forward, when he suddenly heard the scream from his mom. It scared him. Titus had never heard her raise her voice...not like that. Nodding, Titus got into the carriage as Nagi slowly got out. Her hands came over her mouth. Her legs grew weak. "S-Stop..." she whispered. Tears began to flood down past her cheeks now as he pleas grew louder and louder. "STOP! DAICHI STOP IT!!!!!!" Nagi cried out. Suddenly, she turned to Kiku and grabbed hold of her top. "Make him stop! He's your brother, do something!!!!"

Meanwhile, Yugo claws came to wrap around Daichi's arms. He could feel the life being choked out of him. "What...the fuck..." Yugo muttered before bringing his knee up to nail Daichi right between the legs! Yugo rolled off to the left and onto his feet. His hands touched his neck. Bruises? Yugo had never felt such strength before. The darkness was magnifying Daichi's powers. "Daichi...just calm down." Yugo whispered as he leaned forward a little. He noticed the black streaks that were covering his body. Was it a spell? Suddenly, his gaze shifted over towards Kiku and Ama. "Stay back!" he commanded, and slowly began to approach Daichi. "Come on Daichi...just relax. Its me, your sister's mate, your daughter's uncle."

Daichi stared at the elder as he stopped. "Dai dont!" He yelled. But it was too late he fell to his knees as the dark writing cralwed up his arm. "Ah!" He screamed out in pain. Gripping his head as the anger began to consume him. Standing he growled apparing behind Yugo he kicked him to the ground before jumping on top of him. He hissed as he covered his fists in ice before assaulting Yugo's face. A evil smik formed on his lips as he gripped the alphas neck.

"Mom!? Whats going on?" Soara yelled haring the commotioj. "Soara stay in the car! Stay! Titus get in now!" She screamed at him.

Titus stood back to allow his uncle to pass. He watched the expression that formed on Daichi's face. He seemed to pale. Titus tilted his head slightly. His mother didn't look too happy either. "Whats going on?" he blinked twice. "Daichi?" Nagi called and leaned towards the door. Ama peeked out the window too.

"Ah, there's my puppet." the elder grinned as he evil golden hues were set on Daichi. Suddenly, the elder stopped walking. He came to stand about ten yards away from where Yugo was standing. He stretched his right hand out, his dark pupils turning into slight slits as he let out a steady breath. "Awaken." he commanded. Suddenly, Titus jumped back. He watched in horror as some black form of...writing stretched all the way down Daichi's arm. It looked like it was snaking its way up his neck and had covered half of his face too. "Unleash your wrath my dark puppet. Kill the one who stands before you. Allow the darkness to guide your every move!" he commanded. Yugo blinked and took a few steps forward. "What are you muttering about?" he frowned. He had no idea what was going on behind his back...

Soara held on to her mother the entire time that her brother had the reigns in his possession. The idea of him driving still scared the crap out of her. However he wasn't that bad she had to admit. They weren't dead yet anyway. Looking out the window with Ama she frowned at the passing graves. Her attention turned to her aunt as she explained why they were there. As the carriage came to a stop Soara frowned. "What's going on?" she asked curiously. Kiku frowned at Titus's statement. Looking out she spotted the elder. "What?" she stepped out.
Daichi looked at Nagi seeing the worry he smiled softly."I'm sure it's nothing." he assured her. "I'll check it out though." he kissed her forehead before stepping out of the carriage. "Love you." he stated before shutting the door. Turning he went to see who it was but froze as he spotted the elder. His heart racing as he hadn't seen him since that night years ago.

Yugo laughed softly and gave Titus a pat on his shoulder. "Come on, lets show the girls." he smiled. Titus nodded and raised the reins. He then brought them down over the horses backs just enough to get them moving. To everyone's surprise, he was actually doing a good job at driving. Also, Yugo was sitting right beside him watching closely. They were making good time too. A large cloud of dust kicked up from behind the carriage wheels. Yugo sat back now and closed his eyes. Finally, they were on their way! Suddenly, the scenery began the change. The land became baron and completely void of any kind of life. Also, a long series of never ending graves marked both sides of the road adding the 'dark' atmosphere they had just entered. How many were there? Counting was impossible. The graves simply continued for miles and miles on both sides. A battle, or series of battles like non other had been fought in this location. "Mom?" Ama blinked as she peeked outside the carriage window. "Relax hun." Nagi smiled. "Those were left over from long before you were born. Most of them came from your great-grandfather's era. He had to fight among other wolf tribes in order to form the lines of our original territory. This area became a battle ground again when nii-sama and I attempted to unite all the wolf tribes. Let this image be a lesson to you. The world outside our home is far from peaceful." Nagi replied softly. It was a lesson Ama would need to sink into her memory.

After riding between the grave marked for about an hour, Titus leaned forward. His eyes narrowed to make out the blurred image that was forming on the horizon. "Hey dad..." he muttered, his body still leaning. Yugo opened his eyes and sat up. "Whats wrong son?" he asked. Titus pointed ahead. Yugo blinked and looked ahead too. "Is...someone on the road?" he asked, though more to himself. He ordered Titus to stop the carriage. The sudden stop caused Nagi to peek outside the window. "What the hell? We aren't even close to the docks..." she whispered. Yugo rose to his feet as the figure drew closer and closer. "Dad?" Titus asked and looked up. Yugo didn't answer though. Rather, he jumped down from the carriage and moved ahead a few steps. His dark brown eyes narrowed sharply. He could now see who was approaching them. It was Elder Dai! As usual, the Elder walked with his body slightly leaned forward, his hands tucked loosely behind his back. A cruel grin formed on his lips as he continued to walk towards them.

"Elder Dai...you're in the way." Yugo frowned. Titus stood up. He had never seen or even heard of the elder before. He jumped down and walked over to the carriage doors. "Hey mom, there's some weird old guy with a beard walking up ahead." he stated. Surely, Kiku would remember the elder. Yugo frowned. The elder hadn't answered, he just continued to silently walk. Yugo took a few steps forward. There was about 20 yards inbetween them. "I dont know when you got back from your trip, but now isn't the time. My family is leaving for a vacation. Whatever you have to say can wait until we get back." Yugo stated firmly. "How confident." the Elder grinned and still, continued moving closer at a causal pace. After hearing from Titus that there was some 'old guy' on the road, Nagi turned to Daichi. "Can you get out and see whats going on out there?"

Soara looked at her dad like he was crazy. "Oh god...l she groaned. Looking at her mom she raised a eyebrow. "If we die I'll kill him." She growled. Kiku looked at her daughter and laughed. Daichi kissed his mate softly. "I love you too." He stated.

"Have some faith in your son sweetie." Yugo called. Titus frowned as he grabbed hold of the reins. "Yeah mom, you're suppose to believe me!" Titus yelled back. Nagi let out a soft chuckle. She leaned her head on Daichi's shoulder and closed her eyes. Ever since their fighting had stopped, she never missed a chance to show him affection. She loved her mate. There was no one who could replace him. "I love you.." she whispered sweetly and intertwined her fingers with his own. Ama smiled softly. She too was happy that her parents were getting along.

Soara sat in back next to her cousin as her father finally entered. When he asked titus to drive her eyes widened. "Um no offense I want to get there alive." she stated. The idea of her reckless brother driving didn't make her very happy. Kiku looked at her husband doubtfully. "Um...dear I don't think that's a good idea." she stated.

"I will." Konna smiled politely and waved Kiku goodbye. "Everyone ready?" Yugo asked and did a final check to make sure all their luggage was secure. Nagi nodded as she took her seat inside the carriage next to Daichi. Ama was sitting across from her next to Titus. "Hey son, you wanna drive?" Yugo asked. Titus's eyes shot wide open! He peeked outside the carriage at the two flaming horses. They looked so powerful! "Really?" he asked, his ears folding back a little. He wasn't sure if his dad was playing some kind of joke or not. "Just dont crash and send us flying into a ditch." Yugo chuckled. In a flash, Titus shot from his seat, raced outside, and jumped to the front of the carriage. Yugo smiled and closed the door before taking his place next to his son. He gave Titus a nod and the young hybrid quickly grabbed the reins. "Nice and easy now." Yugo smiled. Inside, Ama moved over to sit next to her aunt. "What are the chances that Titus kills us all?" She asked and shifted her eyes over to Soara. "Be nice." Nagi frowned. She didn't want the 'family' mood to be ruined by any 'unnecessary' comments.

Soara groaned as she was finally place back onto her feet. "Dad!" She mumbled as he ruffled her hair. "Thanks alot." She fixed it before entering te carriage. She hated Konna after last night and didnt wish to be around her. Kiku looked at Konna forcing a smil"take good care of it." She said before following the others.

Yugo let out a hard laugh. He placed the twins and Ama back onto their feet and ran his hands through their hair. Ama's ears folded back. She looked up at her uncle with a slight glare. "Do you have any idea how long it took me to do my hair?" she frowned and with a sigh ran her fingers through her white locks trying to undo the damage Yugo had done. Soon Konna came out to see them off. She had been briefed on everything she would have to do. "Have fun." she smiled up at Yugo. Nagi waddled over towards the princess and hugged her tightly. "Dont burn it down." she smirked. Konna let out a soft giggle and nodded. "No promises."

Soara smiled "well thanks." She replied. Hearing her father she jumped slightly. "Yes its posible for us to speak civillay." She teased. As her father scooped up Titus she tried to escape hisgrasp but was unsuccessful. "Dad let go!" He whined. Trying to get away she flung her limbs wildly. When Ama was added she groaned. "Not more.. dad let go!"

"I was just relaying what I heard. Its not like I'm the one who made it up. All Rumors have some kind of truth behind them." Titus stated with a shrug. "Anyway, I'm sorry." he whispered softly, those his eyes were still shifting off to the side. It was a habit had developed when he knew he had done something wrong. "Whats this? Are the twins actually having a civil conversation?" came Yugo's voice from behind. He eyed both the twins grinning before scooping them up into his arms and pinning them tightly against his chest. "Awww looks we're all one big happy family now!" he chuckled. "D-Dad...cant...breath..." Titus gasped and did his best to escape his father's hold. Ama covered her mouth. The sight was pretty amusing. Suddenly, Yugo moved in and picked her up as well and now had all three of them locked in a tight embrace. Ama's face turned dark red! She started kicking and squirming. "Uncle Yu-san put me down! I'm too old for you to be hugging me like this! I'm not a child!!!" Ama screamed, her face turning even more red. Nagi laughed hard. She wished that they had a painter who could capture this 'lovely' family moment

Daichi smiled in return to her thanks. "You're welcome." he replied. Her lustful kiss surprised him but he returned it none the less. At Daichi's angry groan he laughed but pulled away from his wife. Soara turned as she heard ehr brother address her. She wasnt in the best mood at the moment but his apology defenitly helped in improving it. "Thank you. And I'm sorry I tried to beat the crap out of you. However your rumors were false. Maybe next time you should check you information before you go blabbing about it to everyone." she replied. "But thank you for telling me..."
