You Can't Save Me ((Yugo,Mature))

Kathrine looked up at him with red cheeks, it only made her violet hues stand out more as she stared up at him. Her cheeks turned redder as he kissed her in between words and gasped when he nipped her. She placed her hand on her neck and smiled up at him. "I love you, too" She said happily. Ceres far too occupied guzzling down milk to fuss

"Again?" Shen chuckled. Kate was just too cute when she got flustered. Smiling, he leaned in again till their lips were only inches apart. "I.." Shen smirked while placing a quick kiss on her lips. "Love.." he smiled, his lips now pressing softly along her jawline. "You..." he finished with his lips pressing firmly against her neck. He nipped just hard enough to leave a lightly covered love bite behind.

Kathrine grabbed a pillow and shyly covered her face. "Th-they do not!" She whimpered shyly and moved the pillow a little to see him leaning down. She cradled Ceres with her arm and pushed the pillow aside with her free hand and returned his kiss and looked up at him still blushing. "Say it..again?" She asked

She was right. While they had been living together Shen had never once told her that he loved her. He had come close, but certain circumstances had prevented him from expressing his love for her. He gazed down at her, watching her cheeks flushed. "Hehe you're really cute when you blush. I've always thought that. Your cheeks turn redder than tomatoes." Shen laughed softly. He leaned in a bit and pressed his lips softly against hers. He couldn't get too close tho. He had doubts that Ceres would appreciate being crushed by her parents.

Kathrine watched as he sat up and looked up at him with soft violet hues. She blinked as he told her he loved her, her cheeks turned red. In her memory this was his first real confession of loving her. (At least I dont think he ever verbally said it XP) Her face continued to slowly turn red as she shyly looked down. "I-I love you too" She said with a shy smile. She remembered admitting her love for him...she recalled their lustful nights...but she also remembered the word 'love' was not one that easily passed his lips.

Shen stared up into Kate's eyes. How long had it been since he had heard those words? She loved him? The last time she had told him that was the night before she had regained her memory. Back then, shen was happy, but couldn't help but wonder how long his joy was would last. Strangely, very similar thoughts were racing through his mind. He had her love, but would it last? "Kate..." Shen whispered, his eyes closing for a moment. He sat up. When he opened his eyes, they gazed down upon Ceres feeding. She was so small, so dependent on her mother and father. "I love you too. I've never stopped." Shen confessed. His soft brown eyes gazed up into Kate's violet ones. "I truly do love you."

"And she loves you...we both do Shen" She said as she took hold of his bruised hand. "You mean so much to both of us" She said softly. Ceres started to fuss, never having gotten to finish her bottle. Kathrine pulled her up some, and unbuttoned her shirt, pulling out one of her breasts to let Ceres eat. The baby girl closed her lips over Kathrine's nipple and started to hungrily guzzle her milk

Shen shook his head. "No..its you who took the beating..." he whispered. He closed his eyes and leaned forward a bit. Her kiss brought a small smile to his lips. His eyes shifted down to Ceres. His father had called her an abomination. "Baby girl..I love you so much." Shen whispered. He leaned down gently nuzzling his nose into her cheek. He was thankful that she wasn't old enough to understand a word anyone had said.

Kathrine smiled up at him softly. "I still am safe...you havent broken your promise" She said softly. She nodded and took his hand, walking him over to the bed and scooted herself onto it while holding Ceres. She laid Ceres down next to her and smiled as Shen laid down with them. She leaned in close and softly pressed her lips to Shen's. "I'm sorry...You've take such a beating today because of me..." She said and looked down

"No..I told you were safe. I mean..I expected things to go bad...but I didn't think h'd say those things.." Shen whispered. He closed his eyes and nuzzled her bruised cheek down into her hand. Down stairs was quiet...too quiet. It made Shen wonder if his mother had killed his father or something. Sighing, Shen opened his eyes. "Can we...lay down for a bit? You can put Ceres between us."

Kathrine smiled softly and watched as Mei walked out of the room. She stood up as Shen walked into the room, she walked up to him, seeing him trying to keep himself together. She gently took one of his bruised hands into hers and kissed them. "Of course I do...but theres nothing to forgive" She said softly as she let go of his hand and caressed his bruised cheek.

A soft motherly smiled formed over Mei's lips. She gave Kate a gentle pat on her head. "You're a good girl." she smiled. "I'll go get Shen for you." she stated, but paused to give Ceres a soft kiss before she left. Within about five minutes, Shen came up stairs. He had one black eye and several bruises to his right side. Still, he walked with his head held high. His pride wouldn't allow him to sulk just because he had been beaten. "Katherine..." he whispered, his soft brown eyes gazing down into her own. His hands were bruised too from how hard he had struck his father. "Katherine...can...can you forgive me? I'm...so sorry..and so ashamed..." Shen whispered while desperately trying to hold back his tears.

Kathrine's humming evened out after a couple minutes. She nodded and looked at Mei. "Sorry...he...he was just saying...the same things my uncle would say....but....Mr.Genshen is a lot more scary....when saying them..." She said looking at Mei. "I'm okay now...and...sorry...you didnt get to see Ceres's birth....I feel aweful that Shen didnt either....we have a video of it though...I know it doesnt compare but...its something" She said hoping Mei would be happy

Mei was humming as well. Her fingers gently slid through Kate's hair. She held the girl close, as if she were her own daughter. A few minutes had passed. Shen had gotten in a few punches, but Gen had gotten about ten leaving shen stumbling. The old colonel could still easily defend himself. Meanwhile, Mei pressed her soft ruby lips against Kate's cheek. "Have you calmed down?" she asked softly. "Sweetie, I understand why you broke down...but...if you wish to be accepted into this family you must get stronger. Now, that doesn't make the things Gen said right. No...No..." Mei stated, but muttered the last part. Her words came out like slowly dripping poison. "I'll take care of Genshen. However, I cant do that until you show me that you're ok." Mei explained.

Kathrine took Ceres and hugged her close crying. Ceres started crying from the loud yelling. Kathrine followed Mei out, her body still trembling. She tried to focus on Ceres. "Sh-shh...shh..i-its okay.....m-mama's...here" She whimpered lightly. She leaned into Mei and lightly started to hum Ceres her lullaby, it was shaky but it started to calm Ceres down

Mei quickly moved over to Kate's side. "Here honey, take your baby." She whispered softly. "Look into your baby's eyes. She loves you so much." Mei replied softly. She helped Kate up and guided her up the steps and into Shen's room. Meanwhile, Shen and Gen continued to fight. Shen had, had enough. Likewise, Gen was sick of Shen's weakness. "Sit down." Mei whispered. She sat beside Kate gently running her fingers through her hair. It had always calmed shen down when he was a child. "Shhhh" Mei whispered again. "Listen, I can assure you that you're not worthless. You're not trash. You are the woman my son has been crazy about for some time. I can also assure you that he loves you very, very much. Katherine, you must know that."

Kathrine started to tremble as Gen walked up to her. He was so much like her uncle....only much more terrifying. Tears came to her eyes, her trembling only go worse. "I-I....I'm....a-am...worth..."She whimpered trying to get the words out. She had, had to call herself such things before...it wasnt as if part of her believed them too...being raised being told nothing but that...made it more or less the most truest thing to her...She crumbled before Gen. "I-I'm....s-s...sor..rry..." She whimpered terrified of him

"I do hate you." Gen explained, his eyes now locked onto Kate. "You are weak and represent everything which does not belong in my family. You do deserve some praise tho. You seem to understand that you're trash. Thats good. Now, let me hear you say it." Gen ordered. Mei was wide eyed. IF only she wasn't holding Ceres. Meanwhile, Gen walked right up to Kate. His eyes were like sharp daggers just waiting to rip Kate apart. "Come now. I want to hear it from your mouth. Confirm that you are nothing more than trash, a waste of breath, a disgrace, damaged goods, a-" Gen began but paused as Shen drove his fist into his father's face. Gen parried, blocking Shen's attack. "You've gotten slow." Gen stated with narrowed sharp eyes. Shen's brown hues turned black. His entire face changed as killing intent filled every inch of his body. Kate wouldn't remember, but shen had showed her such eyes before; back when he had almost stabbed her in the eye for getting in the way of his revenge..

"Th-Thank-you..." Kate said and froze hearing Genshen suddenly speak up after hearing Mei's question of Marriage. She stepped back as Gen walked toward the kitchen. This man terrified her more than her uncle...if that was possible. She kept her head and her eyes down, her fists trembling as he bad mouthed her daughter in such horrible ways. "P-please....d-dont call her that....H-hate me...but...leave her out of it...its....its..not...her f-fault..." She said, she couldnt even try to sound brave...but the fact that she was speaking up was an amazement in itself

Mei's entire attitude changed. She started humming softly while rocking Ceres gently in her arms. The hymn was in chinese, but beautiful nonetheless. "She's adorable." Mei replied softly, his brown hues flood with love. Shen tried to smile, tho the moment he did pain shot throughout his jaw. He walked over towards Kate placing an arm around her. "Are you two getting married?" Mei asked while placing the nipple of the bottle to Ceres' lips. "Erm..no...I dont believe marriage is the solution to our situation." Shen explained. "I agree." came the dark ice-cold voice of Genshen. He walked into the kitchen. He cast a hard gaze upon Ceres. "That is an abomination." he stated. "Gen!" Mei snapped as softly as she could. "That child is a bastard, one born out of proper wedlock. She will not take my family name. She will not inherit our fortune. Shen." Gen called, his glare shifting. "We will make arrangements for the mother and the baby. I will find you a suitable wife." he stated firmly.

Shen's fists slowly started to tighten. He prided himself on being patient, but his father always killed all that. "She is trash. She is nothing but a broken toy you picked up. You've had your fun. Now, its time to get serious. Do I really need to keep reminding you that one day you'll take my place as CEO? Appearance is everything. Honor is our lifeline. You have hurt our family image enough." Gen huffed. Honestly, sometimes he cursed god for giving him such a stupid son. "We will dispose of these two(Kate and Ceres). They have no placed with the Li family."

Kathrine glanced at Shen and she walked into the kitchen. God his parents terrified her...She shakily got Ceres her bottle and started to warm it up. She was testing the bottle when she heard the loud smack. She blinked looking up seeing Mei had just struck Shen. Kathrine lowered her head...afraid of what Mei was going to say or do to her. "Y-Yes of course" She said, handing Ceres over to Mei. Of course Ceres starting to fuss, not liking strangers. "H-Heres her bottle..." She said handing Mei Ceres's bottle. The little girl had Shen's dark brown almost black hair while having Kate's bright violet hues.

"Kate..can you give me a second? Go ahead and feed her." Shen whispered softly. He walked up to his parents explaining the whole situation while Kate was in the kitchen. He told them everything, how Kate had nearly died and how she could no longer remember anything from the last few years. "Why didn't tell me?" Mei asked, her voice as cold as ice. "Why wasn't I there for the birth of my granddaughter?" she asked. "Mom...I wasn't even there..." she replied softly. Genshen still had his eyes closed and his arms crossed. Suddenly, a loud smack echoed throughout the entire suit. Mei had given Shen a very strong right hook to the face. Slapping was for pussies. With a huff, she walked into the kitchen. Her brown eyes looked Kate over before settling on Ceres. Her hues softened almost instantly. "May I?" she asked softly while stretching her arms out. Shen came into the kitchen rubbing his face.

Lobo was sitting beside Mei, his tail wagging. When the elevator door opened He ran up to Kate and sat, she pet him and told him 'good boy' When Mei suddenly rose her voice Kathrine flinched. She unbuckled Ceres from the stroller and picked her up, pushing the stroller off to the side. "H-Hi Mei" She said nervously. "I um...th-this is Ceres" She said with a smile while looking down at her. "She um...I was just about to feed her...but...we have some bottles in the fridge....if you would like to" She said

"This is nothing." Shen grinned with pride. "In the army we were put through hell. It didn't matter where you wanted to go after boot camp. We were pushed to the brink. If you died, it meant you weren't worthy of life." he explained. Actually, his fathers had used the same exact words just before Shen was shipped off. The thought brought back some not so fond memories. When they got to the third floor, Shen's body froze. "Speak of the devil..." he muttered. Sitting on his couch were his parents. Mei had Lobo sitting obediently beside her. "Well son, we're here." Mei stated. Genshen had his eyes closed. He didn't even bother greeting Shen. "Now what could be so important that-" Mei began, but paused when she saw Kate...and a baby! "Holy @$^%!" She screamed while jumping to her feet. "Shen Po Li, explain this to me right now!" Mei snapped. Shen cringed. She hadn't used his full name since...well since she had found out that he'd been dating Himiko.

"Hm...actually she looks a little cranky...she hasnt eaten in a few hours" She said while looking at Ceres, sucking away on a binki, but not very happy with it. "I know sweetie, we are almost home" She said as she followed Shen to the door. "God...that thing is heavy and your just holding it like it's nothing..." She commented while pushing Ceres along
