You Can't Save Me ((Yugo,Mature))

Kathrine buried her head into his back before she stepped back and took the plates. She walked into the living room and sat down, setting their plates on the coffee table. She took a small bite of her sandwich and set it back down. chewing slowly. She swallowed and leaned back into the couch as he flipped through the channels. "I dunno" She said lightly as he flipped through the channels. "Wait, go back to happy gilmore" She said with a slight interest

"Thank you." shen replied softly. He looked over his shoulder smiling. He was sure that she had a good reason for doing whatever she was doing, but it wasn't healthy. When he was finished, he cut his sandwich in half and handed it to her on a plate. It was nothing fancy, just a ham and cheese sandwich with mustard. He handed her his plate too and grabbed them some cups of ice water. "Alright what are you in the mood for?" shen asked as he placed the cups down on the coffee table. He grabbed the remote and started flipping through the movie channels.

Kathrine had already taken one step back as he was about to start lecturing her further. When he paused she looked up at him as he walked to the kitchen with a huff. She followed him and as he was fixing himself a sandwich walked up and hugged him from behind once again. "....Half.....I'll....try to eat half...a sandwich" She said, hoping that would satisfy him and make him less angry at her.

"Honey and toast wont.." Shen began but sighed and threw his hands up. The last thing he wanted was to start another fight. The first one had landed Kate in the corner of the bathroom for hours and hours. "Fine." he frowned, deciding to give up. He turned and made his way down the stairs and into the kitchen. Since she was only going to eat toast he'd make himself a nice sandwich since it was a little to late for breakfast.

Kathrine looked off to the side as he lectured her... she never really did pay much attention when he rambled like he did. "No..." She sighed softly and ran her hand through her hair.... "Fine...just.... some toast and honey..." She muttered lightly. It was true she hadnt been eating much, but that was just a normal motion she went through as well each time she had to deal with Williams abuse...

"Kate.." shen frowned and paused at the door. "You really need to eat. Dinner is a good bit away and you didn't eat much of anything yesterday. I want you to try, really try. You're skinny enough as it. If this continues your stomach will turn on itself and then you'll have a whole new list of problems." Shen lectured, though he didn't mean to. He was just concerned for her health. "Tell you what, let me at least make you a sandwich ok?"

Kathrine had walked back up to his room and was sitting on the bed once more, watching him as he went to his closet. She...for the most part looked like her usual self now...she didnt appear as fragile as she was yesterday... despite the fact that she actually still was. She stood up as he took her hand. "Yes to the movie...but...no thanks to the candy...I'm....I'm not that hungry.... I'll wait till dinner" She said softly

"Hey." Shen called after he was done brushing his teeth. He walked into their room...well...his room and stepped into his closet to grab some clothes. "We have plenty of time till dinner. Why dont we go down stairs and watch a movie or something?" he asked and when he came out shen was wearing brand new dark blue jeans and a simple black t shirt. "Come on. I'll make us some candy to snack on. Its finger licken goood." he smirked and reached out gently take one of her hands.

Kathrine for the most part just stood under the water with her eyes closed. She finally washed her hair after Shen had washed her back for her before stepping out. She walked out of the bathroom and slowly down to her room and changed into a black hoodie and a pair of jeans. She dried her hair with the towel and brushed it. She was starting to be able to do normal motions of day to day life again so far.

Shen untied his long jet black hair. The two of them didn't spend too long in the shower, though he did offer to wash Kate's back for her. Once he was done he stepped out and wrapped a white towel around his waist. He stood by the sink looking in the mirror. It was so strange how one day had changed their lives. Normally they always ended up playing in the shower, but now Shen could barely touch her. Naturally it wasn't her fault. No, Shen blamed himself for not being there. However, the more he looked at himself the more he realized that he was repeating the same mistake he had made with Yoko. Sooner or later Kate would end up dead if he didn't do something. "Not this time.." he muttered to himself and grabbed his tooth brush.

Kathrine nuzzled into him as he promised to get her away from her life in this town. She looked up at him again as he kissed her forehead and blinked as he pushed her. She nodded and slowly got up, following him into the bathroom. She removed her clothes, stretching her body before stepping in under the hot water of the shower, sighing softly

Shen stared down into his lap when she pulled away. He knew it was too early. He knew that she'd have that reaction, yet he stilled hoped that she wouldn't. "No...I'm a fool." he whispered, though only he could hear. He looked up offering Kate the best smile he could. "I'll get you out of here soon. Then, you can focus on recovering." he smiled while running a hand gently through her hair. He leaned forward placing a soft kiss on her forehead. His mind was completely made up now. He had no choice but to trust whatever plan his mother was putting together. "Well then." shen smiled and gave Kate a playful push out his lap. "Lets shower."

"Some soup....if thats okay" She said softly. She didnt mind his light kisses... it was when he tried to deepen it that she tensed and pulled away and looked down. "Sorry...." She said timidly and looked off to the side. She laced her fingers with his and looked up at him. "I'm....not ready....for those kind of kisses yet" She said softly, apologetically

"Really?" Shen blinked feeling just a little bit surprised. His arms wrapped a little tighter around her body. "Good. I'll tell the cook to make something tasty, light but tasty." Shen smiled and pulled back just enough to place a kiss on her lips. It was suppose to be a soft one, but shen wanted more. He couldn't stand only being able to kiss her softly. His finger tips gently slid along her cheeks cupping them as he closed his eyes and deepened their.

Kathrine looked up at him as he pulled her into his lap. She was still half asleep so her body didnt reacted to his kiss in a flinch like it had been. She shook her head when he asked if she could eat. "Not hungry..." She muttered lightly as she rested her head against his chest. She looked up at him again as he asked about having dinner with him and a soft smile crossed her lips and her eyes softened. "I'd love to" She said and nuzzled into him, her arms hugging her to him. She would probably ask for some light soup or something... she'd be willing to try and eat if it meant getting to go on her date with him

"Hey you." shen smiled feeling her hug him from behind. He turned placing a soft kiss on her forehead. "Do you think you can stomach some breakfast?" he asked and turned to pull her into his lap. His warm lips pressed against hers, but only lightly. "I was thinking...we agreed to go out on a real date a little while ago. However, because of our circumstances we cant really go out together. So, I was thinking why dont we have dinner down in the lobby? The kitchen will cook us something good. It will be like we're in a restaurant."

Kathrine lightly groaned in her sleep hearing the phone ring. As Shen spoke on the phone sheslowly began to wake, she rubbed her eyes and sat up, wrapping her arms around him and rested her head on his back, closing her eyes. "Hm..." She muttered lighlty, sounding as if she was dozing off once again

Shen blinked and looked down. Kate was already knocked out by the time he mentioned going to bed. With a small smile he carried her out of the bathroom and into her bed. He pulled the covers over their bodies and wrapped his arms protectively around her. It wasn't until his phone range around 10:00 that Shen awoke. He sat up rubbing his eyes. Once again, he hadn't gotten much sleep. He reached out for his phone tempted to just shut the damn thing off. "H-Hello?" shen yawned. "Its me honey." came the soft voice of his mother. "We're running out of time. Shen, I need an answer right now." she stated. Shen rubbed his eyes again. He looked over at Kate, who still seemed to be trapped in a deep sleep. "Fine mom. Just...just promise me that everything will work." he whispered softly. On the other side, Mei nodded. "Come now son. Have some faith in your mother. If I can help build your dad's company from the ground up helping your little girl friend wont take much effort." She grinned. "She's not..." Shen began, but was cut off by the sound of his mother's laughing. "Hmm...well maybe she is..." shen thought to himself and hung up. He ran his hands over his face letting out a deep, deep sigh.

Kathrine had already fallen asleep in his arms before he had replied. Her body was still tense despite her being asleep, yet his movements didnt affect her to wake up like it should have. She stayed curled up against him the entire night, sleeping...as soundly as her body would let her. In the morning she was still deep asleep...it felt like all she had been doing was sleeping....

For all those hours shen stayed in place. Not once did he move, not even to use the bathroom, which they were in. By one he had started dozing off here and there. When he felt her move into his lap his eyes snapped open. He gazed down at her, seeing how timid she still looking and very slowly wrapped his hands around her. "You will. I promise." shen whispered. "Come on. Lets go to bed. I wont leave your side."

She watched him walk in, and hugged her legs tighter to her chest. She stared at him for the next couple hours without saying a word...he hadnt once gotten up. Around 3 am Kathrine moved, slowly and somewhat waryily crawling up onto his lap and closed her eyes while hiding herself against him, her arms hugging around him. "I....I wish....we could just....dissapear" She muttered

Shen had his back against the door. While he waited, he continued to talk to kate trying to appeal to her. It wasn't until he heard the click of the doorknob that he rose to his feet and opened it. "Oh kate..." shen whispered seeing her sitting there in the corner like a frightened child. He moved so he was a few feet in front of her sat down. "Listen. You dont have to get up. You can stay there for as long as you want ok? I'll wait right here with you. We'll move when you're ready to."

Kathrine flinched and moved into her corner as best she could. She stared at the door and he talked through it, apologizing and making no attempts to get in. She didnt move for roughly a half hour before she slowly crawled up to the door and unlocked it but moved back away from him, back into her little corner.

"Kate?" shen called. He looked around his room and then tried the bathroom door finding it locked. "Kate its me. Look...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. I'm just...well I'm just as scared as you. Trust me when I say though that I'm doing everything I can for you." he replied in a tone that was ten times softer then before. "Kate please let me in." shen asked. He had a key, but wanted her to be the one to allow him into the bathroom. "Kate..can you hear me? I know you're in there. Come on I'm not mad at you. I just..lost it for a second. I'm sorry. I was wrong."

Kathrine had remained in the corner of the bathroom. Her mind going over everything that had happened since she met Shen....in all honesty she couldnt say she regretted meeting him. He had changed her weather she completely understood that or not...but even so, she was always going to be scarred by the hand life had delt her.... she was in a fagile state right now, no where near as strong as she usually was.... that was probably why Shen's outburst had scared her so much to the point of hiding from him in his bathroom
