The Beginning ((Yugo,R))

Lily had found a spot to settle down in when he started up again. "What the fuck is your problem, I told you I'd be more comfortable with my own kind checking me over, I never said anything about running off behind you back, why the hell would I have suggested letting you fly us to god knows where!" She growled back

"You helped." he pointed out. His head hung down. He'd just have to do some gathering to make some more. Squall rose to his feet, his eyes on Lily but only for a moment. "Alright the first thing we need is food. I'm not hungry but I know you are. Do you think you can sit tight for a few minutes?" he asked, his brow raised as he crossed his arms over his chest. "I mean I may well be a jerk, but you've been a child since I turned down your idea to racing into one of your packs. I'm wondering if I need to keep both eyes on you now. You might just get lost or something."

Lily's ears remained pinned back. "I'm not being sensative, your being a jerk" she growled and crossed her arms. As he started to accuse her of forgetting the thread. "How should, I know, you were the one who did the packing while I finished eating remember!?" She growled, quickly growing sick of his rude comments and accusations

Squall looked back at her blinking twice. Her sudden snap had caught him off guard. He looked at her with a raised brow, really not taking her seriously. "Stop being a child. It was just a joke and we were just considering the possibilities." he frowned and let out a long sigh. "Dont be so sensitive Lily." he sighed again and started unpacking. He wanted to go ahead and make their clothes before it got too late. "Hey did you pack the thread I'd need?" he asked as he searched through his pack, unable to find it. "You did remember right....you didn't leave it on the ground or something did you??"

Lily groaned as he picked her back up and took off once more. When they landed she composed herself, her ears twiched upon hearing his comments and her ears folded back as her bright hues narrowed. "Why the fuck would you say such things! What if I'm not pregnant, are you saying I'm just fat now!" She snapped at him with a growl

"I'm sorry.." Squall whispered. Now he felt really bad for being short with her. He should have been more understanding. He leaned down kissing her cheek before scooping up into his arms. The flight wasn't that long, at least not to Squall. When they landed he placed on her feet and leaned backwards cracking his back. "Damn, I think you've gotten heavier." he smiled, teasing her a bit. "You use to be so light but now you weight like two tons." he chuckled and tossed his pack to the ground again. "If you are pregnant I bet I'll have to roll you along the ground just to get you moving." Squall laughed. IT was just a bit of fun, it wasn't like he meant any of it even though his taunting made him sound pretty convincing.

She ran her hand through her hair and shook her head. "No....we...can keep going...If we rest now, I wont want to fly again when your ready to go" She said as she found some mint leaves to such on as well. She walked up to him and nestled her body against his. "Lets....just get it all out of the way now..." She said softly and closed her eyes again

"Its fine." Squall replied softly. Yea, he was a little annoyed, but he didn't blame her. Actually if she was pregnant then her throwing up was kidna his fault anyway. "Why dont we take a break hm?" he smiled and tucked in his wings causing his body to land. He threw his pack to the ground and stretched his arms out. "I know you're hungry so why dont we see if we can find some rabbits or something for you?"

Lily stumbled a bit from the landing but leaned against a tree as she threw up, coughing hard. "Ugh...." She groaned and whimpered as she threw up once more. After a few moments she spat the ground and wiped her mouth. "Hn.....sorry" She said with flattened ears. "I'm....okay now" She said and leaned down, digging up a tree root to chew on to get the taste of vomit out of her mouth for now

"Shit." Squall frowned. His wings tucked in sending them into a small dive so he could get her to the ground faster. Once they were close enough to the earth he released her so she'd land on her feet. "Well it was good while it lasted.." Squall sighed as he hovered a few inches above the ground. His eyes shifted about their surroundings. The spot wasn't too bad, but he wanted to be higher just to be safe.

"No....no no, land now" She said as she put a hand over her mouth, showing him she needed to throw up. The sudden gust of wind didnt help her. She started tapping his shoulder, signaling the importance of needing to land as soon as possible.

They had been cruising without too many problems. The the wind was blowing lightly through Squall's hair. The dragon really loved flying. He closed his eyes enjoying the sensation, but paused and blinked when he heard Lily request for him to land. "Just hold out for a few more minutes." he frowned. "See that ridge? We're going there." he pointed as his wings soared on the gusts of wind that rushed under their bodies.

Lily hid her face against Squall's shoulder as she hugged her arms around his neck. Her tail was set between her legs. She shivered feeling the strong wind hitting her skin. She kept her ears pinned back against her head. She thought she was doing very well. She did everything she could to block everything out for the next hour or two. "Squall...." She mumbled against his shoulder. "Land" She said firmly....

"Dont take it so personally. I said no offense." Squall countered, seeing her frown and hear her growl. He was starting to get a little tense too so he scooped her up into his arms and took off. He tried to fly as slowly as he could tho. He wasn't flying that high either, just above the tree line. However as they started flying over high ground their elevation slowly began to increase. Squall wanted to pick a safe spot where they'd be able to sleep for at least a day or two. Plus, he needed to find Lily some food before she got hungry enough to eat him.

"No....I....just dont want to wait that long..." She said with a slight blush. She walked up to him and lightly glared at him as he mentioned not wanting to be puked on. "I'll be sure to warn you if I feel I need to" she growled lightly. It wasnt like she meant to be puking all the time.....She believed it had been nerves...but for all she knew maybe it was because she was pregnant...she couldnt explain her need for so much food....

Squall eyes shot wide open! He walked up to Lily pressing his hand to her forehead. "Are you ill?" he blinked. Lily hated flying...he'd never thought there would ever be a time where she requested to fly. Sighing, he took a step back and picked up his pack. "Alright then come on." he stated while stretching his arms out. He'd have to carry her bridal style while they flew. "I'll try to take it slow. I dont want you puking all over me....no offense...." he stated with a smile, tho was completely serious.

"Yeah....we ate the last of it this morning..." She said while looking to him as he stopped and searched through the bags. Her ears drooped as he asked if she could wait another 3 hours. "Can...we just fly....I'll keep my eyes closed.....I promise" She said looking to him. "I have to get used to it...sooner or later...." She said while looking off to the side

Squall ignored most of her child like tantrums. He wanted to move faster, but Lily seemed intent on dragging her feet. He looked over his shoulder, seeing how she was holding her stomach. "Did we eat all the meat from that second elk?" he asked and lowered his pack to the ground. He started digging for his things in search of whatever scraps he could find. He had already given her all of the jerky. Standing up, he looked up towards the sun trying to judge the time of day. "Do you think you can hold out for say..three more hours?"

Lily's hues glared down as he refused her offer once more. She growled lightly and walked behind him, kicking at some rocks and sticks as if she were a kid...though...relistically she was kind of still a child....plus if she was pregnant then the hormones were just enhancing her moods. She walked a few steps behind him putting her hands on her belly as it growled. She was still hungry...

"Lily.." Squall groaned with a hint of sternness in his voice. "I told you that we'll figure it out. Right now sending you into some pack is too risky. We're being followed, you know that. What if word got back to them about who you were?" Squall frowned and shook his head. "No I'm not comfortable with the idea. Lets go. We've spent too long in this forest." he sighed and started walking. He'd probably have to put a plan together because he knew Lily was too stubborn to listen to reason.

"Why are you being so quick to think my kind would do something to me?" she said while looking at him with crossed arms. "Look, I can bathe in the hot springs, add some herbs and salts to wash your scent off me. if they dont smell you on me they will assume I'm just another she wolf who's mate was killed due to the war, I can claim I'm younger the sixteen you know" She said while looking at him. "I'd....I'd just feel better if it were my kind looking at me to make sure I'm...really pregnant" she said

"Tsume?" Squall blinked and dropped his hand. "Yeah I trust her allot, but we're not going ALL THE WAY back there just to look for her. That trip would take a few days. Its too dangerous to go all that way by foot. Since you get air sick flying is out too." Squall frowned as he pointed at her. He let out a soft sigh and slowly ran a hand through his hair. "Trust me. We'll figure it out. However we cant take stupid risks. Just trust me on this one ok?"

Her ears folded back and she lightly glared at him before crossing her arms. "....What if.....we go back...and look for Tsume...." She muttered, not much liking the idea of seeing the she fox. "You....trust her...right?" She asked, not taking a step as he offered her his hand. She looked at him with stubborn eyes.

"No Lily" Squall stated flatly. "Its too risky. We're not doing it and thats finale. We'll find some other way." he told her and picked his pack back up. "Look...I'm happy that you're actually considering the possibility but we need to be careful. We'll get you to someone, I promise." he smiled and stretched out his hand towards her. "Come on. I wanna cover as much ground as we can while we have daylight."

"But if your around they will smell you, and if they see us together they will report it when the scouts come through, they will hunt us with more ferocity then now if they knew we....had committed such a sin...and actually mated....and....possibly dare to create.....offspring" She said and looked up at him. "You can circle over head high in the scky where they wont smell you" She said, her tail wagging. "You have really good eye sight, you'll be able to see me at all times" She said
