Fire & Ice II: Age of Rebirth(private/mature/continued)

"You're blaming ALL of this...on me???" Titus frowned as the bone dragon spat violent flames all over the ceiling of the roof. Suddenly Titus rushed behind Ama and covered her mouth. Ama's eyes darted sharply back to her cousin. "Shh! Dont move...he cant see us if we dont move..." Titus whispered softly. Seriously? Had it not been for the presence of death in front of them, Ama would have bit Titus' hand right off. Her eyes slowly moved back to the dragon. Sure enough, it had stopped belching plumes of fire. It let out a phantom like roar as it's head shifted from side to side of the room. Titus was holding his breath. Suddenly, the bone dragon whipped its head back over to the hybrids! It shot out a long stream of fire aimed right at them. Titus quickly pushed Ama and Soara out of the way, before jumping clear himself of the flames. "Run!" he cried out. There was no way they could stand up to a dragon...and especially in such a small dungeon.

Soara nodded in agreement starting towards the stairs. "Titus leave her alone." She snapped. Looking at the two as they fought she frowned not sure what was going on. "What is your guys problem?" Sheasked. Her question was soon answered though as she felt the breath on her neck. Turning she spotted the dragon alive and screamed with her borther and cousin. "Titus! This is what happens!" She yelled at him.

"Yeah...so I guess we'll have no choice but to go back up then." Titus sighed and rose to his feet. While he stood, the amulet he had been holding slipped out of his pocket and landed on the floor. "Well lets hurry...I dont like this place." Ama mumbled as she walked over towards her cousins. "Scardy cat." Titus teased, which got him a well deserved smack right upside the head. Suddenly, Ama froze in her steps. Every hair on her body stood on end. S-Something was breathing on her neck! She turned around, but all she could was the giant skeleton. Frowning, she turned around and smacked Titus again. "Dont do that!" she screamed. "Ouch! Do what???" Titus blinked and rubbed the back of his head. As usual Ama was heavy handed. Just then, Titus too felt the sensation of 'breath' upon his neck. Slowly, he and Ama turned back towards the skeleton. Sure enough, it had risen up from the ground and had the amulet Titus had dropped between its teeth! "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Ama and Titus both screamed to the point that tears were flowing from their eyes. The dragon skeleton let out booming roar. It had been awakened and now it was pissed!

Soara watched as hr bother drew a map on thshe examined it and shook her head. The idea of being somewhere in the west scared her. They didnt know this side of family at all so they were stranded. "We need to get back and return this to dad." She stated. She couldnt stop worrying about what was happening back home. "Whatever gts us home the fastest."

"True...but depending on where we are...we might not be too far from our own boarder." Titus stated, though more to himself. He was trying hard to remember all the history lessons his father had jammed into his head. He bent down and extended one of his nails. "Ok this is the west. The territory is covers is pretty damn large. Its got allot of mountains too." Titus stated as he began to draw the boundaries that separated the south, west, and north. "We need to get back home bad. I dont think trying to navigate through all that snow is an option either.." he muttered. Meanwhile, Ama let out a deep sigh. She was the older one. She had to collect herself. She couldn't help but to glare at Titus though. Since when had he become so...so...dependable? Sighing softly, she walked over towards her cousins and peeked down at the map Titus was drawing. "Well I dont see an exit...so we have no choice but to go back up. Also, just because we know we're in the west doesn't mean we actually know WHERE we are." she stated. Titus shook his head. "My memory is fuzzy...I think...most of mountains are located in the center of the territory. If thats true..." he whispered and marked an X over the center of his dirt map and drew a circle around it. "We could be anywhere within this area."

Soara looked arund the room but her eyes quickly darted to the amulet gowing in her brothers hand. Her eyes wideed as th breeze blew out he lame. Shegave a shriek as her hands lit up so se could see. However she put them out as soon asher brother had relit the torch. She gazed in horror at the skeleton laying in the midde of flor. "Oh my god..." she gasped. At her brothers question she shook her head. "I...dont...ivguess so...which means...we arent far from neko territory."

"Fuck..." Ama muttered and timidly followed behind Soara. When they reached the bottom of the steps, they found Titus standing in front of some sort of...alter. Titus shined his flames over it. The amulet he had taken was pulsing. He placed the amulet on the alter and from no where, a sharp blast of wind tore through the chamber! Titus raised his arm to block. The wind had been so strong that it had blown out his flames. Now the trio stood in complete darkness. "T-Titus?" Ama called, her arms still clinging around Soara. "I'm fine!" Titus called out and stretched out his hand to light up to the room again. Suddenly, Ama let out loud shriek of fear. For the first time, she released Soara and stumbled backwards till she fell on her butt. Titus' eyes shot wide open. A massive skeleton had appeared in the center of the chamber. Its entire body took up most of the space within the chamber. Titus shined his flames over the skull and then along what looked like...wings of some sort. "Is this...what they call...a dragon?" he mumbled. Meanwhile, Ama had scooted all way back against the steps. Titus turned around and moved his flamed hand so he could see Soara's face. "If there's a dragon here...does that mean we really are in the west? How...How the hell did that happen??"

Soara glared at her brother. "I can't believe that you are telling us to calm down as you steal from a dead body!" she snapped at him. She stared downt he steps as her stomach dropped. She coudl tel taht nothing good was down there but her brothers natural instincts must be broken because he clearly doesn't sense it. Once he begins to go down the steps Soara looks at Ama. "I don't know..." she muters. "We can't just leave him there alone though..." she rolls her eyes and starts down the steps.

"Will you two calm down? Geez..." Titus sighed and rolled his eyes. "The amulet clearly reacts to the walls. So, why not take it just in case we need it for later? I'll bring it back...eventually." Titus stated with a small shrug of his shoulders. "You know what...fine. I'm going to find a way out and you two babies can just turn back around and go BACK through spider hell." Titus stated and with a huff vanished down the steps. Ama swallowed hard. Why was this happening to her? What had she done, who had she pissed off? Her claws clutched the back of Soara's shirt as her tail long white tail moved between her legs. "D-Do we...follow him?"

Soara stared at the now revealed corspe. It didnt look like anything she had seen before which scared her. She stared at the amulet as her brother pulled it off. "Are you stupid!? Disturbing the dead and then taking its posesions?" She hissed.as the steps appeared she shrieked. Saking her head vigorously. "No! No way in hell am i going down tere!" She yelled. Her gut had the same feelings as Ama's.

Titus' eyes shot wide open! He had no words to describe what he was looking at. The skeleton looked like it had a humanoid frame. However, its body was clearly longer(height wise) then that of a normal skeleton. Also, it had short, but jagged claws hanging from its fingers. "Hm...well...its clearly a demon of some sort..." Titus muttered and leaned closer. He could make out what looked like a long row of hooked fangs. Judging from the teeth alone Titus could tell that the skeleton wasn't that of a wolf or neko demon. It's build was a little heavier then a wolf's yet lightweight at the same time. "Just what the hell is this thing...?" Titus blinked. Ama peeked over her cousin's shoulder. She looked just in time to see him take an amulet that was hanging around the skeleton's neck off. "What are you doing now?" Ama frowned. Titus held up the amulet to his flame. "There's...some sort of claw...surrounded by..." he paused and scraped some of the rust off the surface. "It looks like a claw surrounded by mountains...maybe some sort of clan symbol?" Titus blinked again before sighing softly. "Well...guess all we can do is go back." he stated and was about to step away from the coffin when suddenly the ground shook violently underneath their feet! Magic symbols appeared on the wall and soon a portion of it slid down into the ground revealing another set of web covered steps. "Cool!" Titus smiled and stuffed the amulet into his pocket. He looked back at Soara and Ama, his tail wagging wildly. "We should come here again...you know...once we save dad and all." he grinned. "Idiot." Ama spat, clearly unhappy with the little adventure they were having. The small hairs on the back of her neck were all standing up. Her gut screamed for her to turn around. It wasn't just the spiders though. There was something down those steps that didn't want to be disturbed...

Soara just shook her head at Ama as they continued down the tunnel. The spiders were getting obnoxiously large and she was even staring to get scared of them. When her brother stopped she ran into him as she was still looking for spiders. "Ow..." she muttered rubbing her nose. Staring at the coffins she frowned not liking the looks of them. "No way Titus stop!" she yelled at him. But it was too late he pretty much had te coffin open. Grabbing Ama she pulled her back as her brother finished opening the coffin revealing what lay inside.

"B-B-But!" Ama cried and continued to hold onto Soara. Unfortunately for her, the deeper they moved into the underground tunnels, the bigger the spiders got. Titus let out a low sigh as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. He had just killed a freakishly huge spider that was about the size of a bear. Ama's face was completely pale. The poor girl looked like she was about to have a breakdown. Moving on, Titus suddenly came to stop. Once again they had come to a dead end. The only thing he could make out with the light he had were a few coffins which sat on each side of the tunnel. "This cant be it..." Titus mumbled and stepped closer to the ending wall. It was only then that he noticed that one out of the four coffins were slightly open. "Hmm..." Titus mumbled and moved over towards the coffin. He stared pushing the lid with all the strength he could muster. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!?" Ama screamed as she tried to yank her cousin away from the coffin. "The fucking spiders are bad enough, but now you're trying to piss off the dead!? Dont you remember, your mother told of never to disrespect the dead when we were growing up!!!" She shrieked. Titus let out a low growl. Ama had a pretty good grip on his arm and he couldn't shake her. "Soara can I get some help over here? I mean, the coffin is already open. You guys were wondering where we were right? Maybe if we peek inside and who or what has been buried we can at least find out."

Soara followed ehr brother through the cave with Ama holding onto her shirt the whole way. "Ama you're fine." she whsiepred trying to calm her cousin. WHen she screamed Soara felt the air from her lungs pulled out. "Cant...breath..." she gasped. When she finally let go she took in a gulp of air. "They are spiders Ama you are fine." she sighed becoming frustrated. Continueing down the passageway.

Titus smiled widely. He looked at Soara returning her high five, but shifting his gaze over towards his cousin. "Dont be such a baby..." he mumbled and looked over at Soara next. "We just fought for our lives in the belly of a dead demon filled with the bones of smaller demons...I think you can handle a few graves." Titus sighed. He held out his hand to light up the steps as they walked. Ama was practically glued to Soara's backside. Her ears stayed firmly pinned against her head. Suddenly, Ama let out a terrifying scream! She practically jumped right onto Soara's neck while pointing towards a dark corner. "W-What?!" Titus yelled as he shifted the light from his flames. In the corner, there were eight small red eyes glowing within the darkness. They were getting closer and closer too. Titus let out a hiss and slid into an attack stance. His jaw suddenly dropped though when the creature Ama had been panicking over turned out to be a spider which was about the size of a finger nail. "Seriously..." Titus blinked. Ama wrapped her arms around Soara's neck, nearly squeezing the left out of it. "I HATE SPIDERS! They do nothing but creep behind your back. They plot the destruction of the world, but because they're so small you ignore them!" She shrieked. "Is this about the spider you found in your closet two months ago?" Titus sighed deeply while shaking his head. This was a switch. It wasn't often that Ama freaked out over something so small.

Soara followed ehr brother through the tunnels afraid what they were going to find. The dead end made her growl "Good job a wall." she muttered. Suddenly the wall though was turning into a passageway. "Woah..." she breathed. "Props bro." she said giving him a hgh five before starting dwon the passage. At the mention of graves though she stopped "I don't like dead people..."

"Fine then. Show us this magical passage." Ama grunted as she rose to her feet with the pelt wrapped tightly around her body. Titus nodded and grabbed a long stick from the fire to be used as a torch. He led his sister and cousin deep into a narrow path of twisting hallways until they reached what seemed like a dead end. "Titus?" Ama muttered, her eyes darting about the darkness. Titus smirked and pressed his hand against the cool wall. "This is the cool part." he stated. There seemed to be some sort of activation key on the wall. Soon the entire stone block slid down into the ground revealing a set of old steps covered in thick spider webs. "U-Um...just...how far does this go???" Ama asked as she moved behind Soara. She wasn't really good spiders...or their webs. "Not sure. I got about...half way last night I suppose. There's nothing down there but a bunch of graves."

Soara looked at her cousin as she took off the bear skin. She shouldn't mind it but her cousins bare body didn't' make her exactly comfortable. She leaned against one of the walls of the cave as she watched the fire with her cousin. "No idea..." she stated. Then she heard her brother come running out of the darkness. "No use getting mad I guess it's useful." she pointed out.

"Who knows..." Ama sighed and ran her fingers down the bare skin on her arms. Since Titus wasn't around she didn't mind losing the bear pelt. Actually, she felt ten times better with it off and wasn't shy about walking around nude in front of Soara. They were both girls after all. Sighing softly, Ama sat down in front of the fire pit. Her bright brown eyes shifted towards the cave entrance. "I've completely lost my concept of time. I wonder how long were we in that realm. It felt like an eternity..." she mumbled. Suddenly, Titus came running out from the darkest depths of the cave! Ama let out a scream and dove for the pelt so she could cover herself. "W-Where the fuck have you been?!" She hissed, a sensation of both annoyance and embarrassment running through her. "I found something!!" Titus exclaimed as he leaned over to catch his breath. "I think I may have found an underground passage through the mountain!" he smirked. Ama's right eye began to twitch. "So in other words...you've spent the last few hours exploring...?" she asked, both eyes twitching now. "Pretty much." Titus smiled and stood up straight. His tail was wagging happily from side to side.

Soara was completely troubled througout her slumber as images of her dead father flashed through her mind. As well as her mother in cuffs, not to mention Jann with that smirk on his face. She had helped him obtain his goal and now she was paying the ultimate consequences. I love you, he had said, and she had been stupid enough to believe him. Waking from the nightmare she panted heavily before finally standing. "Where's Titus?" she asked Ama curiously.

Titus crossed his arms over his chest and turned around pouting. Why had he been cursed with such a boring older cousin and younger sister? Ama let out a sigh and slid down the cool the wall. She wrapped herself in her heavy pelt. It only took a few seconds for her to pass out from pure exhaustion. A few hours later, the storm had ended, though the land was still blanketed by mountains of snow. Ama's ears twitched. She could feel beams of sunlight warming the entrance to the cave. She sat up and stretched her arms out causing her pelt to slip off of her body. Her nails ran over bare arms and shoulders. God, she felt so..so gross! With a sigh, she looked up and noticed that Soara was still out cold. Titus however, was no where to be seen. "That boy..." she hissed and rose up to peek outside the cave. "Maybe he's making himself useful and found a place to take a bath or something..."

Soara entered the cave glad fo some shelter rom the storm raging outside it. She nodded at hercousins plan "sounds good to me." She mumbled cuddeling aroun the fire. Spotting her brother she shook her head. "Cant you just sit still and rest?" She asked. Never could he just be content and relax. And now it was really starting to bug her. She laid down feeling her eyelids grow heavy as she slowly drifted asleep tired from the battl.

"Thats not the point..." Ama growled. Her ears folded back firmly against her head. Both her cousins were in on it! When they got to the cave, Ama let out a deep sigh. She leaned against the cold cave wall and stared outside. "When all this clears up we'll move out. There's got to be some way of finding out where the hell we are..." She sighed. Titus nodded. He had gathered together some sticks and a few short logs for a fire. Once the flames got going, he looked back and could now see that the cave went much further back then what he had thought. "No." Ama frowned. Titus looked back at older cousin and tilted his head to the side. "What?" he blinked. "No." Ama repeated, this time her tone more firm. She knew the look Titus held in his eyes. She knew that he wanted to explore the cave and that Titus was incapable of sitting down for more then two seconds.

Soara watched as she put the pelt on. She stiffled a small laugh. She watched as he brother began to lead them to the cave. She could tell how funny he thought this was and how much that pissed off Ama. "Ama its fine its not like there is anyone important here to see you like this." She pointed out. Soara spotted the cave and practically ran to it.

"Oh my god..." Ama groaned and very slowly reached for the pelt while still covering her breasts with her free arm. "It reeks..." she mumbled, though paused after hearing a small laugh come from Titus. Ama gazed up at him, her ears pressing flat against her head. "You're enjoying this aren't you?" she frowned. Titus returned her frown and shook his head. "Why would I enjoy you smelling like shit?" he asked and turned around with a soft sigh, though only to hide his grin. The truth was the situation was 'slightly' entertaining. As relaxed as Ama was, she was neat freak when it came to her clothing. She always had to look perfect and wouldn't leave the castle until every single strand of hair was in place. Ama closed her eyes and let out a pained groan. She quickly wrapped herself up in the oversize pelt. God, the smell alone made her want to vomit! It didn't help any that the pelt felt itchy and just...YUCK! "Ok...so where is this cave?" she growled, clearly unhappy. Titus turned back around and faced Ama with the must serious face he could muster. "N-Not too far...follow me." he stated and turned back around. Holding back his need to laugh was going to be hard. Ama's eyes narrowed sharply. She could read Titus like a book. If she had even a little energy left she would have used it bury Titus under 30 feet worth of snow...
