With The Next Generation(Private/mature/continued)

"Dont underestimate them." Ryu warned. Alone, the buzzards weren't much, but when they swarmed was when the real danger came. They had nearly made it through the valley when suddenly a dark roar echoed through the valley sending hard vibrations through the air. Ryu looked back. Something evil had just awakened. Ryu started flying faster. The vibrations were making it hard for him to fly straight though. The dragon let out a low hiss another vibration slammed into his body causing him to flip upside down! Ryu flapped his wings hard and was able to turn around, however by that time he had already dropped towards the ground. Ryu could see the edge of a rocky hill coming into the view. The dragon served hard to the right just in time to avoid it, but ended up crashing into a smaller hill.

Candra transformed so ehr fangs would be more useful. She tucked the twins under her, as she took on a horse size shape, knowing it wouldnt affect Ryu that much at all since he was about the size of a mountain. Candra kept a wary eye out as the pups started to doze off under her while they flew. "That thing looked like it had died ages ago and yet it was still feeding the buzzards" Candra Commented

The first hour of the flight was nice and smooth. Aside from the arid bone yard underneath them, there was little to worry about. The twins would be able to make out the images of large bones rotting within the sand. The bones appeared to have a form larger then Ryu's own transformed state. Some rather hungry buzzards could be seen soaring over the bones. "Candra hold the twins tight. If those birds get ahold of them there's not much we're going to be able to do." Ryu bellowed, his wings flapping harder as he took them higher up into the sky. The air was hot and sticky, but Ryu had no choice but to maintain their elevation. If he flew any lower they'd be a target, not for the birds, but for the more dangerous predators that roamed the dessert grounds.

Kasumi chuckled and smiled kissing Ryu's cheek in return to his kiss. Candra nodded, though she didnt care to hearing that they were going to be meeting up with the tiger princess on the other side. She kept this to herself for now. She got the kids up onto Ryu's back once he was transformed. Kasumi and Kei complained once in awhile of being hungry but Candra hushed them during the flight

Ryu blinked and turned around. His little girl was back! The dragon quickly walked up to Candra, his smile bright and wide. "Morning angel." he replied softly before taking her into his arms and planting a soft kiss on her cheek. "Well now that she's awake we should start flying. I told the Tiger princess that we'd meet up her and my men. Unfortunately, they've probably moved on. So, I plan to fly all day and night so we can catch up. If all goes well we'll make it over Five Deaths within an hour or two. Its important that we cross the valley as soon as possible. Landing isn't an option."

After about another hour of walking, Kasumi collapsed, Kei caught her and fell to the ground with a thud. Kasumi blinked her eyes before sitting up and yawning. "Hmm....morning" She mumbled sleepily. "Kasumi!" Kei yelped and hugged her. Kasumi blinked and patted his back. Candra walked over, "Did you sleep well?" she asked softly. Kasumi nodded and yawned again as Candra picked her up. "Morning Papa" She said while rubbing her eyes. Kasumi was back to normal now, and probably just in time

"Fine." Ryu groaned. They'd have to travel along the river side until they reached a valley the dragons called, 'Five Deaths'. From that point, there'd be no other option but to fly. The valley was the most dangerous part of the trip. Not even the bravest of their warriors dared to enter and for good reason. As they walked, Ryu remained silent with exception to a few chats with Candra. He looked back towards Kei and Kasumi to make sure that the two of them were keeping up. They were holding hands...and looked rather content. Maybe this new Kasumi really wasn't a threat to Kei. Ryu couldn't help but be concerned though.

"Denying her existence will only make her hate you more..... please, try to accept her Ryu....." Candra sighed and slid her hand down along his back. Kasumi had stopped and reached her hand out to Kei who flinched and stepped back. Kasumi smiled and leaned down, still holding her hand out. "You know I wont hurt you... right Kei?" she asked, her voice much softer. Kei hesitated before taking her hand and walking with her. "We might as well walk on foot for now until she goes to sleep" Candra said with a light shrug

"No..." Ryu mumbled, his left eye narrowing as he gazed down at the ground. "That isn't her. That part of her does not belong. Its not normal..." Ryu whispered softly before slowly standing up to his feet. "There's got to be a way to rid her of that personality. Its dangerous. Its going to get her killed one day." Ryu frowned before turning around, his eye on Kasumi's distant figure. Candra might have been willing to accept it but he wasn't. "Well whatever. For now lets just focus on getting back to the capital. We can only deal with one problem at a time." Ryu sighed deeply. Part of him wondered though how Sessshomaru would have handled this extra person and if she would have reacted to him in a similar way.

"Kei's near, don't worry she wont hurt him. Despite her personallity she does care for her blood reletives, even if there only half. One time some dragons were picking on them and Kei was pushed up against a wall for defending our Kasumi... then this Kasumi came out and kicked their asses, then conforted him. He's scared of her and she knows it but she doesnt resent him or hate him for anything" Candra said softly. "You have to accept that this Kasumi is part of our little girl, but you cannot treat her like our little girl, you have to treat her like a completely different person....still our own.. but more....adult like

After scouting the area, Ryu had decided to take a seat on a small stump. Kasumi's words ate at him. Sure he had left for a year, but it wasn't like he had much of a choice. The lives of his people were being threatened. Also, it wasn't true that his reasons for coming were simply out of lust or guilt. He still loved Candra. He had never stopped. He loved HIS children even if one of them were no biologically his. Ryu's left eye shifted over to Candra. He gave her nod, but didn't say much else. He didn't like this part of Kasumi. What he had saw wasn't the little girl he loved so dearly. "Candra...where's Kei? We should keep him close by. There's no telling what that side of Kasumi might do..."

Kasumi smirked as Ryu began to challenge her. "Oh yeah, your my father alright, leaving us for a year not too long after we were born, never calling out to mother even after she spent months trying to contact you. It's your fault she's sick, you don't even deserve her. Your just ruled by your guilt and lust for her, you dont care about anyone but yourself" Kasumi chuckled. Candra smackec Kasumi across the face. "You may not be our normal Kasumi but you will show respect to the ones who care for you" She said sternly. Normall Candra would never strike the kids, but this wasnt her child....

Kasumi glared up at Candra, "No you are Kasu-chan's parents, not mine, I could easily take care of myself if I was the dominent personality, and you know it, I'd only a year old and I'm already half as strong as you because of my REAL father's blood. "By the time I'm 18 I'll be nearly as strong as you" Kasumi growled before turning away. Candra sighed and walked over to Ryu. Give her an hour at least, let this personality calm down enough to go back to sleep otherwise, provoking her and challenging her will only keep her out longer" Candra said

Ryu was shocked. Candra had indeed informed him of her other personality but he never figured she'd be this brutal. The dragon rose to his feet, his form towering over her own. Although he wore an eye path over his right eye anyone would be able to tell that he was glaring down at the girl. What could he do though? Technically he wasn't her father. "You listen here..." Ryu breathed, his voice holding certain edge to it. "As long as you are with me, I am your father. I am the one who's going to take care of you. I am the one who's offered to be there for you. I am the one who gave you that teddy you hold so dearly. I dont give a shi-" Ryu spoke, but soon paused to correct his language. "I dont care what kind of physical problems you have. You WILL NOT endanger this family. So, if I have to carry you inside of my fangs I will." Ryu stated, his face nose to nose with Kasumi before he backed up and walked past Candra. "Do something with her. We'll be leaving in a few minutes." he stated as he transformed back into his true form to do a quick patrol of the area.

Kasumi snarled as she was scooped up in Ryu's jaws. When finally let go she glared at him, a deadly glare. "Listen old man, I'm not your cute little Kasu-chan that you can bark orders at, Bring those fangs anywhere near me again and you'll be dead from an overdose of deadly poison" She snarled and pushed him backwards easily. Kasumi looked at Candra. "Didnt you tell him anything about me?" She asked as she crossed her arms. "Your not exactly the dominent personality,And yes I explained to him about you" Candra said, her own attitude changing to the girl that looked like their daughter. "Apparently not enough" Kasumi growled

"Now of all times..." Ryu groaned, his large crimson eyes shooting down towards his daughter. The dragon flapped his massive wings causing a dust storm to spread over the ground. His neck swung around hard as he scooped Kasumi up into his jaws and carried her off. His fangs held her securely within his mouth so she wouldn't slip out or risk being cut. Once Ryu had gotten his family a few miles ahead, he dove back towards the ground to let Candra off. The dragon let out a low deadly hiss as he dropped Kasumi with a hard thud. "Young lady if you ever do that again I swear you'll be in trouble." Ryu hissed as he reverted to his human form. He grabbed Kasumi by the wrist as he bent down so he was at her eye level. "You never endanger your family! Your brother could have been hurt. Think hard before you do something stupid next time. Do you understand me?!"

Candra awoke to the earth shaking under her. She got up quickly and didnt have time to to coax Kasumi from her sleep. She grabbed the pups and jumped up onto Ryu's back. Kasumi though who was now completely irritated by her rude awakment didnt plan to cooperate. She jumped back down to the ground on her own, her movements didnt seem like that of a tear old pup, even for an advanced hybrid like her. "Kasumi!" Candra barked. "We have to kill the dogs right..." She snarled, her eyes deadly. She held out her hand and a black sythe appeared in her small hands. "I'm sick of running" She said with a grin. Kei hid behind Candra, not liking this Kasumi

When morning came, Candra would awake to the sounds of battle! They had been found by a pack of dogs. Ryu had transformed and managed to lure the pack away from Candra and the pups. His massive form could be seen in midair shooting out dark balls of fire from his jaws. He had just finished mopping up the few stubborn dogs who refused to retreat. Ryu slowly landed on the ground now. His snout tilted up towards the sky as he took in a big whiff. He wanted to make sure that the dogs were gone. For the moment, it seemed like they had left the area, but Ryu was sure they'd be back. Rather then turning into his human form, his bulky body made its way to the camp site. In doing so, he might have knocked down a few trees. "Get up everyone! We're moving out right now!" Ryu roared, his dark voice sending vibrations through the ground as he spoke.

Candra's ears perked when he asked how she was doing. "I'm fine, I told you I'm very well suited for the cold" She said, not getting that he had been asking how she was with her fits. So far she hadnt had any other fits since their fights in her office, but that was only a day ago. She yawned and laid down on the ground. "Okay" she mumbled lightly. She was a little tired, more so from the long non stop travel from when they awoke to night. She'd take the chance to get the rest her body wanted. When the kids finished eating they walked over, still in animal form and curled up around Candra, Kasumi moving Candra's head, allowing her mother to use her body as something of a pillow

Ryu couldn't help but to look away as the twins ate. He knew they were part wolf...but still it gave him the shivers. The very thought of eating uncooked meat made him feel sick. A pure blooded dragon wouldn't have dreamed of it. Sighing softly, Ryu picked up a few logs and threw them into the fire to keep it going. His eyes shifted over towards Candra. It was hard to believe that she had been having fits all this time. If the twins hadn't told him Ryu most likely would have left. Had that happened it was a safe bet that he wouldn't have saw Candra for a while or at least till the war was over. "How are you doing?" He asked softly, his eyes on her as the fire danced over the logs. The way he figured it, as long as Candra stayed calm and stress free she'd be fine, but he didn't know for certain. "I want you to get plenty of rest tonight. I'll keep watch and sometime tomorrow we'll leave." Ryu replied softly. He couldn't help but feel guilty. It was his fault that Candra had gone through so much pain. "I'm sorry..."

Candra's pace made good time, when they made it out of the pass she shook the chill out of her fur and looked around, sniffing at the air. She stalked into the woods while Ryu set up a fire. After about ten minutes snarls were heard, before silence and Candra came walking out of the woods with a large buck in her jaws, dragging its body over to the camp. The twins noses twitched and she both looked up and ran over to the buck's carrcass and started tearing at the hide to get to the meat. Candra shifted and sat by the fire. "I guess they dont want to wait for cooked meat..." She chuckled

Ryu nodded. He didn't see any problem with taking a higher dose. Kasumi seemed to have a good grasp on her powers too. Ryu couldn't help but wonder what kind of adult she'd grow up into. He was content with the twins remaining kids and didn't want them to grow up too fast. Once they were ready, Ryu climbed onto Candra's back and made that Kasumi and Kei were secured. When they got outside he almost instantly noticed a difference. His body was nice and warm. Only the tips of his ears felt a small chill. He wished that he had had access to Kasumi's poison years ago.

When they finally cleared the pass, Ryu let out a small groan. Getting through the mountains had taken longer then expected. They had just barely got out before night fall. Now with the mountains behind them, Ryu had decided to go ahead and set up camp. The twins were both sleeping within a hollowed out tree. Ryu looked over at them smiling. They seemed so close to one another. With any luck, their relationship would stay strong.

"We can continue at any time your ready, but before we do, I reccomend letting her give you a stronger dose. The more concentrated the poison, the longer the effect lingers" Candra said as she stood and shook out her fur. before leaving the Cave Kasumi repeated the act, the fumes leaving her jaws a light shade of red. Once they were all back on Candra's back she headed out of the cave she dug, having to dug at the entrance to get out. Once out she reverted to her large form and started to trot once again, running would be too dangerous which was why she didnt bother, trotting kept a steady and fast pace without the dangers of slipping and sliding

Ryu nodded and leaned forward. He closed his eyes and allowed the poison to enter through his nose. It really didn't have much of a scent to it. After a little while he noticed that his body stopped shivering all together. "Wow..." he blinked, his eyes wide as he stared at his daughter. "My little girl is pretty amazing." he smiled and pulled her into a big hug. His eyes shifted over to Candra now. Maybe they wouldn't have to stay in the den for so long. "Do you think it would be safe to continue? I'd really prefer for us to get through this pass before nightfall. There's stories that ogres call these mountains home and that they hunt during the night." Ryu explained. He didn't know if the stories were true or not. No one had ever traveled into the mountains to investigate.

Kasumi's tail wagged when he gave his consent and barked a little laugh when asked if he needed to be bitten. Candra shook her head and looked to Kasumi who sat up straight. her ears folded back a moment. The pup took in a deep breath and slowly exhailed, her breath releasing a pinkish mist. "Breath deeply" Candra said. Kasumi closed her jaws and her ears perked. "You said only a little so I made the poison less conitrated" Kasumi said. Kei breathed in the toxic fumes, still shivering for about five minutes before his body began to relax and his teeth stopped chattering. "I think it's working" Kei muttered as he laid against Ryu, his body tired from being so tense

Ryu stared down at his daughter. He didn't want to say it...but he wasn't thrilled about the idea of being injected with poison. His eyes shifted over towards Candra. She had been ok, but what if a different kind of side effect to place within Ryu's or Kei's bodies? Ryu let out a small sigh. Kasumi looked so determined and he didn't want to make her think that he had no faith i her young abilities. "Alright we'll try it. Only a little tho." he replied softly and gave Kei a nod. As another strong chill ran down his back, Ryu decided that he'd do just about anything to stay warm even if it meant being injected by poison. "So...does she need to bite me or something?" Ryu blinked, his eyes shifting between Kasumi and Candra.
