With The Next Generation(Private/mature/continued)

Ryu kept the twins under him while Candra stayed close to her sons side. "If he wasnt being so stubborn, I know Kasu could have a chance at defeating this thing" Ryukai growled. "How do you expect an old soul in a young girls body to defeat something like that? Ryu just said what it was made of!" Candra barked. "Think mom, Kasu is a poison spirit that has fused with Kasumi, most likly inherited from Sesshomaru's side of the family. That means she knows the oldest of the oldest and deadliest poison, even if that thing doesnt have a soul, its body can still rot away, Kasu's poison can melt the very skin and bone off someone if she so wished" Ryukai barked back

A dark twisted aura came to cover Ryu's body. He quickly transformed and vanished behind the incoming wall of sand. About thirty minutes later, the sounds of a fierce battle could be heard booming across the desert. Ryu's body was sent crashing hard into the ground below. The dragon let out a dark snarl as he forced himself up to his hind legs. "So this is the infernal of legend. Records say that a mad man created this monster from the bones of over 1000 demons. He used tainted earth and darkest of magic..." Ryu grumbled and took the air once more. The raging beast let loud bellow which could be heard for miles and miles. There was no way Ryu could defeat the damn thing. Hell, even the Emperor would have trouble dealing with the creature. How could you kill something that technically had no soul and was nothing more than a bunch of magic that had been lumped together? Suddenly, Ryu opened his massive jaws and shot a devastating Mega Flare right into the core of the monster. His black scaly wings spun his body around and sent him flying back towards his family. He'd have to take his chances with flying. There was no other way to deal with the wicked beast.

Ryukai rolled his eyes as Ryu shot down his idea, not yet knowing the troubles between him and Kasumi's other personality. Candra looked up with un focused hues, as if still recovering from the crash. "Oh....yeah" She said and shifted back to her human form. Ryukai did as he was told and headed to the rocky cliffs without talking back, making sure to conceal the twins and his mother

"Thats out of the question. This discussion is over." Ryu stated. He had shot down Ryukei's idea the moment he heard him mention using Kasumi other personality. By then, the sand had died down a little, but was starting to kick back up. Ryu's good eye shifted towards a rocky hill that could be seen in the distance. Right now, his only concern was Candra's safety as well as the twins. "Take everyone over towards those rocks and hide them. I'm going to see what the hell is causing this storm. Maybe if I can knock it out for long enough, we can fly right outta here." he stated and took a knee by Candra once more. "Hun do you think you can change into your human form? Its going to make carrying you easier."

"The wild life out here is all out to kill us, and if no one comes out here as it is, I doubt any of the wild life will be missed. And I dont mean our Kasumi. I mean waking up Kasu and asking her to do it. She's an older soul living inside of Kasumi, who has perfect control over her powers. I'm sure she could handle it just fine. The strain on our Kasumi's body would probably be a need for a days rest" Ryukai said and watched as the sky darkened and the sand picked up again. "Or do you have another idea..." He growled

"Do you have any idea just how big this place is???" Ryu blinked. "Besides, you have no proof that poison would even affect all of the wild life. No, we cant place such a burden on Kasumi, especially if we cant be sure if it will work." Ryu stated before rising to his feet once more. As he stood, those hard vibrations came back. "Damnit! If only I at least knew what the hell was chasing us..." he thought to himself and sunk one of his fangs into his bottom lip. It was then that Ryu noticed that as the vibrations got louder, the sky turned dark. The sand started to kick up once more making it hard to see what was even two inches in front of you.

"Hn....yeah.. I remember.... I had a fit when I got up and tried making it to where you crashed.... I must have blacked out while walking..." She said. Ryukai looked at his little sister. "We could always poison the vally" He suggested slowly as if thinking out loud. He was considering waking up the other Kasumi and asking for her aid, her poisons were perfected and completely deadly.

Ryu took a quick knee by her side. He ran his hand gently along her neck and smiled. "Well...we crashed. We're kinda stuck right now, but I'm thinking about risking another flight." he replied softly as his eyes shifted from the left and then to the right. "Something is after us...something huge. It knocked us out of the air and I guess you fell off my back and hit your head. When we found you, you were out cold." Ryu stated and placed Kei next to his mother's side. "Rest up Candra. We'll be leaving this place soon. We cant afford to stay here anyway. Its been made crystal clear that we dont belong."

Ryukai looked over onto his back, just after being asked, Candra's blue hues slowly opened. "She's coming too" He said. He wasn't out of breath at all, but, wolves always were the best endurance runners. Candra's view was blurred, her ears flopped to their sides as she shook her head to clear her vision. "What....happened...." She whimpered and slowly sat up on Ryukai's back. "Ugh...w-where are we?" She asked and looked around

"Fine..." Ryu sighed deeply before scooping Kei into his arms. He led him family out of the cave. It was a good thing he had too. Just a few minutes after they had left the cave was suddenly smashed to bits. It looked like something or someone had either stepped on it, hammered it down with a massive hand. Ryu himself could feel the vibrations under his feet. His head turned back towards Ryukai. They needed to move faster. Finally, after about an hour of intense running, Ryu came to a stop. He came to rest by a small outcrop of rocks scattered among the sand. "Is she still out?" he panted, his body slightly leaning over as he caught his breath.

"What ever you say" Ryu said, his tail tapping the ground. "I wanna ride on Oni-chan" Kasumi said as she clung to Ryukai. Ryukai didnt say a word and simply looked to their father as he got up and walked over to let Ryu place Candra on his back so he could carry her. He waited at the mouth of the cave, his tail swaying back and forth, his acidic green hues focused on the blurred sandy weather outside

Ryu looked up at his son with a frown. He knew very well that their relationship was rocky at best. However, this time he wouldn't put up with any of Ryukai's crap. Ryu knew the dangers that lurked within the valley and he wouldn't allow Kei, Kasumi, or Candra to be exposed simply because Ryukai felt that the valley wasn't as dangerous as it seemed. Sighing softly, the dragon rose to his feet and walked towards the edge of the cave. The sand storm was letting up and soon they'd be able to move. The problem was that Ryu had no idea when Candra would wake up. The last thing he wanted was to be caught inside the cave when the monster chasing them arrived. "Alright here's the plan. Ryukai, you'll carry your mother. Kei and Kasumi can ride on my shoulders. We'll move out as quickly as possible." Ryu stated before turning towards the twins. They had spent enough time inside the cave. It was time to find a new spot.

"It didnt seem so hazardes to me when I passed through here to escape the wolf packs when I was still being hunted....but I suppose what ever is woken now wasnt then, and the creatures werent as on guard...." Ryukai reasoned and looked to his mother as Ryu cleaned the blood from her muzzle. "Fine, I'll play by your ear on this one," Ryu said, it was very rare Ryukai submitted to his father's ways. He usually never listened and did things his own ways just to prove his father wrong, but he knew not to risk his brother and sister, as well as his mother

"You dont understand." Ryu sighed deeply as he leaned back against the cave wall. The rocks that surround the valley are far too high to climb. Even if you could, there are a very wide variety of winged demons that make their home within the walls of the valley. Thats why I wanted to fly. Dont underestimate this place son. There's a reason why dragons avoid this area." Ryu replied softly before leaning over to clean some of the blood around Candra's muzzle. "In any case...we cant move at all until this sandstorm lifts. Until then we'll just have to sit tight."

"Your just now realizing you luck sucks?" Ryukai chuckled. "Be nice oni-chan" Kasumi said. "Flying would make you too easy to spot. Despite the longer journey, it'd be safe to stay on ground, this is a vast land as you said, finding us wouldn't be easy, and with those hyena's following us then maybe if we were to run fast enough, what ever has woken up will kill and eat them, giving us the chance to escape. "If I make myself two times bigger I can carry all of you and run the entire way" Ryu said

"Shut up. Its not like I asked to get stuck here. We were hit by some sort of pressure. It sent me flying to the ground." Ryu sighed softly as he ran his hands through Candra's fur. "There's something bad here...and I dont mean those hyenas. They're small fries. Legend says that originally this valley was a lush paradise. However, a demon who intended to take over the world came to this place and turned it into a barren waste land. His plans were halted and all the beasts he had created were set free to roam the valley. According to the stories, there's suppose to be some kind of supreme demon that wakes up every now and then to feed. Judging from the way I was hit...I'd say the beast woke up about the time we reached the halfway point of the valley. In other words, my luck sucks..." Ryu sighed deeply, his good eye now shifting towards Kei. "You and your sister dont have to worry though. As soon as the sand dies down I'll fly us out of here."

"I'm here arent I?"Ryukai growled, staying in his demon form, his tail slithering from side to side. Kasumi ran up to him and hugged Ryukai's leg and he nuzzled her back, lowering himself so she and Kei could climb on and he followed their father to the cave. "I can't believe you got stuck here...." Ryu sighed as he laid down near the mouth of the cave. Kasumi stayed curled up against Ryukai while Kei walked over to Ryu and Candra.

"You're late." Ryu growled, his good eye shooting towards his oldest son. The Hyenas continued to laugh despite the fact that one of their own had been killed. Little by little however, they began to back away. The pack was far from gone however. They'd continue to wait for the right moment to strike. Sighing deeply, Ryu reverted back into his human form. He had managed to find a small cave and had carried Candra inside. "Of all the places to get stuck." he groaned softly. The sand had kicked up again which would make it impossible for him to fly. Ryu couldn't transport Candra through a dark portal either. For one, he had no idea how it would affect her condition. Second, the area around the valley had a weird form of magic surrounding the area. It almost felt like Ryu's powers were being jammed.

Kasumi ran over to their mother, seeing the blood on the corner of her lips. "I think she had another fit...!" Kasumi cried and tried to shake Candra awake. "Mom!" Kei shouted, "Mommy!" Kasumi cried. Candra's eyes barely opened before closing once more. She wasn't going to be waking up anytime soon. "Mom! you have to get up!" Kei yelled. "ONI-CHAN!!!" Kasumi howled loudly. Moments after her cry, Ryukai came bounding out of one of the hyena's shadow's, his claws wrapping around the beast and closed his razor sharp fangs around the creature's throte, tearing it out before pushing off the dead body and skidded to a stop next to Ryuten. "Ran into trouble I see" Ryukai said and snarled taking a bold step forward at the pack of hyena's, a deadly hiss leaving the young mans jaws

"Your mom is strong. She'll be fine." Ryu replied softly. As they continued to wonder through the sand, Ryu picked up a small trace of Candra's scent. By the time he found her there were already absurdly large buzzards hovering over her body. Without a moment of hesitation, Ryu shot several dark spheres at the birds and rushed over to Candra's side. She was out cold. To make matters worse, the number of creatures following them had increased. Now that the beast had stepped into the light, Ryu could see that they were hyenas. "Fuck." he spat mentally as he placed Kei and Kasumi next to their mother. Ryu suddenly transformed and let out an ear shattering roar. The dragon flexed his massive dark wings and whipped his spiked tail back and forth. The hyenas formed a circle around the family, their taunt like laughs still echoing around them,

Kasumi winced as Ryu tied the cloth on her head. Kei was getting ready to follow beside his father when he was suddenly picked up. He looked back while Kasumi curled up against him on Ryu's back, Kei's eyes focused on the creatures who kept their distance, but was definetly following them. "Do you think Mom is okay?" Kei asked. "I can't hear her..." Kasumi whimpered softly

"Shit." Ryu mumbled as he came to a stop. He reverted back into his human form and placed Kasumi on the ground. She looked alright aside from the bump on her head. Ryu tore off part of his sleeve and wrapped it around his little girl's head. For now, all he could do was stop the bleeding. "Ok Kei, if you think you can walk we'll go find your mother." Ryu replied softly as he lifted Kasumi into his arms. Suddenly, Ryu's good eye shifted towards the right. Standing on a ridge about 25 yards away were a pack of jet black creatures. Ryu could only make out the gleam from their crooked fangs and the slants of their pulsing purple eyes. They were laughing, all most as if to taunt Ryu for crashing. The dragon formed and decided to pick Kei up as well. "We're moving." he growled, his head turning back every now and then to see just how far away the creatures were. The jet black beasts were following him and remained hidden in the shadows. Yet, they made sure to keep a good distance between Ryu and themselves...at least for now...

Kasumi had been knocked out while Kei held onto her. " When Their dad asked if they were okay he looked down at his sister. "Kasumi's knocked out and her head is bleeding, I think she hit it, My side hurts a little but not too bad..." He said and looked around. "Can you see mom?" Kei asked, not liking the feeling of where they were. Candra struggled to stay away, blood dripping from her jaws. Her vision blackened and she fell into the sand, taking her human form as her body gave up on her and forced her to sleep

Ryu had been knocked out cold for a good five minutes. When he finally came to, the dragon let out a low pitched groan. He looked around. Fuck, they had crashed. Imeddiately, his eyes shifted towards his back. The twins had by some luck hung on, but Candra was gone. To make matters worse, they were in the worst possible place known to his kind. Ryu knew his time was short. The noise from his crash would attract the local wildlife sooner or later. "Candra!!!" Ryu roared, his head tilting back as he called her name. As pain streaked throughout his body, Ryu forced himself to his feet. His claws dug into the ground as he began to make his way down the mountain. "Kei, Kasumi, talk to me. Are you two ok?" Ryu asked, his good eye shifting towards his back. Once he had finally reached the bottom of the hill all he found was an endless sea of sand and rock. He roared out Candra's name a few more times. He tried picking up her scent, but as time passed the sand began to stir making it hard to pinpoint her locations. Dust storms were frequent throughout the area and it looked like a major one was about to kick up.

Candra Lowered her body down on the twins, her claws hooking into Ryu's scales when the first vibration hit to keep herself and the twins from being thrown off. As Ryu lost control however she went flying off and her body smashed into the sand, the twins had somehow held onto Ryu tight enough even as he crashed into the small mountain. Candra winced as she stood on her paws, her body trembling from the impact. Her hackles hunched forward as she started to cough, her muzzle forming into a snarl as a fit came around. After a few more hard, bark like coughs, blood came pouring from her jaws. She shook her head and turned and slowly started to walk toward where Ryu had been thrown, her vision growing blurry
