Hati stopped walking and looked at Ryuten. "She was following a very old instinct.... one that normally would have been filtered out after so many decades.... but you have to understand....Candra's bloodline decends from beasts, while your's are serpents...When a beast is cornered... and had young to protect.... the beast will kill their own children before letting anything else bad happen to them" Hati said and sat down. "It sounds like Candra was in a very tight bind, and was feeling the preasure from it....and the only way to save her cub...was by setting him free with death" Hati said and his ice blue eyes looked to Ryu. "But its obvious...she found what ever reasons she could...to not go through with it...Ryukai is alive...its true, he seems to hate his very existance... he's probably wanted the freedom of death from the moment she put her hands around his neck....only to have it taken away from him..." Hati said. "I don't blame either of them... its not Candra's fault, nor Ryukai's...but Ryukai wants to break... but he holds onto everything for her...because he knows she wants him to...even when he himself wants nothing more than to cease to exist" Hati said

"Is that so?" Ryu asked softly as his gaze shifted away from Hati once more. Who would have known that Candra was so special? When Ryu had first met her, he hadn't seen anything super special. Yeah she was stubborn, he knew that from the very start. Serving under her as class Vice President had been hell due his lazy personality back then. When Ryu heard Hati's reply to his second question, his good eye narrowed slightly. It seemed that god was speaking the truth. Ryu couldn't think of a reason for him to lie and deny him the truth. "Well...for years Ryukai has carried a deep hatred. I assumed it was because I abandoned him and his mother...but rather then that...he seems to hate himself for being born. He showed me an image of Candra... suffocating him, but it went black shortly after." Ryu stated and paused. His head shifted down to the ground and hands tightened into fists until they bled. "I suppose...even if I did learn about those past events...it wouldn't mean much. Whats done is done. Still...I cant believe that Candra would ever...d-do such a thing..."

"She can in time.... but she is week...Even if her body heals her soul will probably never be as strong as it was before she met you. And I'm not blaming you for her condition mind you, there are many different paths life lays out for demons and humans alike" He said as he continued to walk. "Just stay by her side... even if you two find a reason to bicker and fight... make sure she knows that there is nothing she can do that will make you ever want to leave her.. She's head strong, true.... but she's also wise. she's been through alot and share many memories of the antient days of when the world began." Hati explained.

Hati's ears twitched and he looked back. "Pursued by her own kind?" He asked and thought. "I suppose that would happen with the strange laws those desended from the gods made. But to answer your question, I was probably hearding the moon. The only call I've ever heard from the earthen realm was long long Ago when the goddes Amaterasu sought help clensing the earth of evil spirits. The second, was that of Candra, That day was the first I had ever seen of her" He said. "So I'm sorry, I'm unable to help you with your question....is there....something your seeking to know?" He asked

Ryu slowly followed behind Hati. Strangely, Ryu didn't feel too much better even after hearing that he had nothing to fear. It seemed to him that Hati was expecting Candra to die sometime soon. "I see..." Ryu whispered softly as his good eye shifted to towards the right. "Be honest. Can she overcome this sickness? The only way she'd die...is from something like this. We earthly demons are far from immortal...but we can live for thousands, even millions of years." Ryu replied softly, his eye now shifting back towards Hati. There was another question he wanted to ask the god, one that had been nagging him. "Where were you when Candra was being pursued by her own kind? I'm curious...did you by chance watch as those events unfolded?" Ryu asked, though there was little to no aggression within his voice. No...the only one to blame was himself for following his father's wishes. "If so...perhaps you can tell me exactly what happened that day."

"Yes!!!" Kasuimi and Kei yelped, jumping down off Ryukai and landing in their beast forms. Ryukai's gaze never even looked at Ryuten as he walked over to the stream and started to drink. Hati noticed Ryuten's gaze, his sharp senses knew the dragon was curious. "I'll accompany him father, show him where the herds graze" Hati said and started to walk, looking to Ryu to follow. Once in the woods Hati seemed more relaxed. "You have nothing to fear.... I've made my decision of what I want from Candra, but she wont be able to grant it until she has passed on from her earth bound body..." He said and stopped. "I seek a companion...not a romantic one, but a friend... My wish is that she joins me in the realm of the gods when her time comes... to keep me company while I heard the moon... and also...it will be a way for her to continue seeing all of you...or her grandchildren...and so on... while hearding the moon over this region she'd be more than welcome to come down to earth for the night" He explained.

Meanwhile back at the medow Fenrir laid down near Candra, his aura surrounding her. "What are you doing by my mother" Kei growled. The giant black wolf's red hues looked to the halfling. "I'm attempting to retore her aura, by bathing her in mine...it's week" He said. "Oh...well...no funny stuff or I'll have to put you in your place" Kei growled, his tail held high. "Oh ho... a little alpha on our hands..." Fenrir chuckled. Skoll walked up and nudged Kei over onto his back. "Gotta get through me first" He said, his tail wagging, just proving once again what a big softy Skoll really was

Ryu nodded and followed closely behind. If someone had told him earlier that day he'd be walking behind three gods he would have laughed. Once they reached the stream, Ryu placed Candra down by the bank giving her easy access to the water if she needed to drink. Sighing softly, his eyes shifted over to the twins. "Are you two hungry?" Ryu asked softly. Maybe getting some food into Candra's stomach would do her some good as well. His eyes then shifted over towards Hati. While he appreciated the help, his mind could only drift back to what Candra had told him earlier. At some point, Hati would demand something in return. IT sounded like Candra hadn't established what that little 'something' was either so, which meant that he could ask for anything.

"The halflings will be perfectly fine, the atmosphere in the gods realm is no different then the earthen realm" He said and turned once again. Hati and Skoll followed their father at his flanks. "Come" Fenrir said, his voice holding more demand in it now. He lead them through the mist, all three wolves seem to have some kind of glow around their bodies. Hati had a soft light glow, like that of the moonlight. His borther skoll had a light glow of the sun. But Fenrir's glow...was a dim red. None of them had once taken human form either. The darkness faded and started to grow brighter as they passed through the mist and came upon a lush green mead surrounded by forest. "You all can rest here... there are prey in the woods you may hunt for food and stream running by the old oak tree in the middle of the field, it'd be best to lay her there so she can drink as often as needed" He said

Ryu blinked twice and shifted his gaze over to Hati. He had been advised to keep quiet, yet it seemed like Fenrir was waiting to see if he would agree to stay or not. "Uh...well as long as staying here wont have negative effects on the children's bodies...I'm fine with it." He replied softly. The sooner Candra healed the better. They had allot to discuss. "Perhaps you would know of a medicine she could ingest to speed up her healing? She's been hanging in there for the past few days, but recently she's taken a turn for the worst."

"Pure blood? Father?" Skoll questioned walking ip beside his father. Fenrir turned and closed his fangs on Skoll's shoulders making the red and black wolf yelp and submit immediately. "Her blood is not strong... but it carries the purest of my bloodline i've smelled in a long time." He growled and smelled her again. "She's near death though... her soul is breaking" He growled and his eyes shifted to Ryuten, they were redder then blood, but the god of all wolves didnt say anything, his look wasnt even a judging one, but of interest. "A wolf and serpent....how different" He said and turned his back. "It'd be safest to remain in the realm of the gods until she recovers." He said and stood over his sons. But he was looking at Ryuten, as if waiting for his say, rather than demanding it

"Yeah...sure..." Ryu sighed as he continued to carry Candra in his arms. When he caught sight of Fenrir, Ryu good eye widened. The god had to be as large as Deathwing, maybe even bigger. His eye shifted between the massive god and Candra. Pure blood? Did that mean that Candra was a descendant from the gods? "This day is just fucking full of surprises..." Ryu thought to himself. Then again, if Candra did have pure blood, maybe that would why out of all his children, Kei and Ryukai were generally stronger then Raia was. Maybe it was the blood of the gods that fueled their power and enabled their ability to learn faster then most demons.

A dark rumble swept the ground and Skoll yelped. Hati remained calm. "Group together and Ryuten.... don't for one second say something in a smart ass way" Hati warned. A black mist rolled over the ground and a massive black wolf with red eyes walked out of the darkness. Hati and Skoll were large wolves, larger than normal wolves and demon wolves, but Fenrir.... was even larger. Her sharp fange snarled as he peered at his sons. "You've abandoned your duties" He said, his voice dark as he circled his pups. "To help one of your blood, father... She called for me" Hati said. Fenrir's eyes shifted to Candra. He walked up, his nose curled at Ryuten's scent before taking in hers. "She's still got pure blood... and here I thought my mortal bloodline had been diminished long ago" Fenrir snarled

Ryu nodded and and gently picked Candra up. As they entered through the heavenly gates, his eye couldn't help but to rest on his oldest son. Part of him wondered if there was even any point in talking about what had happened with Candra. Ryu knew that he had to do everything possible to ensure that neither Kei or Kasumi encountered such suffering even if meant throwing away everything he cared about. As for Candra...well...while it was true that he felt an obligation to care for her more then ever, he also loved her. He simply wished that he could love her and protect his home at the same time.

"It will be up to you... to tell her when she is better, that you do this because you want to....or because...you felt you had no choice... do you understand?" Hati asked. The ground began to dissapear from under them and they found themselves on a whole new realm. It was all clouds and pretty, it actually looked rather beaten and old. "Stick close... when father scents us he'll be all over us" Skoll said, showing submissive manners at the though of their father. Ryukai carried the twins on his back, still not having said a single word.

Ryu dried his tears. He didn't believe that all hope was lost, that there was nothing he could do. No, there had to be something. As he stepped back through the portal, he was sure that the twins and gods would notice that Ryukai and Ryu had been fighting. IT was a good thing that no one had asked about it though. Sighing softly, Ryu shifted his good eye towards Skoll, his gaze hardening. "Watch it wolf." he hissed, not caring if Skoll was a god or not. His gaze then turned to Hati. "No. He..." Ryu paused. He didn't want to speak ill of Sesshomaru in front of Kasumi...so he decided to 'alter' the truth. "He...There's no way someone like him can help. For one, he's on the other side of the war. He wants to cast a spell that will disable ALL dragons and leave them open to be slain. Although...now that I know that Jabberwock is behind this...I doubt the dogs will pull the spell off. If anything, Jabberwock will probably allow the dogs to kill his enemies...which most likely will include my family...my whole family, Kei and Ryukai included." Ryu stated softly before moving back towards Candra. "I'm ready. I'll throw everything way...for her."

"Its not your FUCKING OBLIGATION to stay with her!!!" He screeched, while baring his fangs. He stared at him without another word... moments passed as Ryu's fangs remained bared. "There is nothing....you will ever be able to do to help me... not a fucking thing..." He growled and turned away from him. Ryukai tore a gap through the darkness, walking out of the dark realm and returning to his mother, siblings, and gods without saying another word to Ryuten. "We're ready to leave" He growled. Hati waited for Ryuten. "And are you ready.... to let go of everything, and focus on her... on your family.... that....or are you willing to let her go.... possibly die..." Hati said. "She'd live if there was another lover in her live... one that meant something to her" Skoll mentioned. "I do not know of any" Hati replied looking to his brother. "Daddy" Kasumi said looking up at the two massive wolves. "Pardon?" Hati asked. "My daddy Sesshomaru" Kasumi replied. "Now that you mention it she is part wolf and dog... not dragon" Skoll said and looked to Ryuten. "If you are not willing to let go of everything else, would you allow her to return to this other man?" Skoll asked

Ryu couldn't believe his eyes! What were these images? Could they have really been visions of the past? As Ryu watched Candra attempt to kill her child, their child, Ryu's mouth dropped wide open. His heart began to pound recklessly inside his chest. He couldn't bother to explain the mixture of guilt, pain, and anger he felt. He let out a hard cough as Ryukai's tail slammed in to the chest. The hit was hard enough to make him spit up blood. The older dragon placed a hand over his chest as he leaned forward. Tears began to form within the corner of his eyes. He knew that Candra had suffered...but he never knew that it had gotten so bad that she had tried to take Ryukai's life along with her own. It all made sense now. Most likely, Candra's disease had taken hold of her shortly after being banished. It simply hadn't showed till later on.

Ryu stared up at his son. He didn't know what to say now. Hell, what would he say to Candra? He felt so mixed up inside now. Did he really deserve to be with her? No...he didn't have a choice. She'd die without his feelings. Ryu had a obligation. He owed her some form of happiness. He owed Ryukai for all the pain he had suffered through at such a young age. "Tell...T-Tell me what I have to do...to make up for everything. Tell me how I can possibly erase the hate you feel towards yourself..." he whispered silently as he stood up, tears still threatening to pour from his eyes.

Ryukai snarled at his beating and glared at his father. "BUT ITS NOT RIGHT FOR A CHILD TO GROW UP TO ALL THAT" He snarled against, his claws hooking into whatever was the ground. "Of course I fucking hate myself! It was always easier to put everything on you!!! You think you've had shit bad!!!" Ryukai screeched and appeared in front of Ryuten, hooking his claws into his fathers head and stared him straight in the eyes. The world, their fight, everything went black for a moment, and soon faded into a scean.

Through a thrid parties eyes, a young Ryukai of only three, looking only a little over five in human form, was covering in blood, dragging a what seemed to be dead Candra's wolf form which was covered in lashes, blood soaking the snow he dragged her through. "M-mommy... p-please... dont leave me" A little Ryukai cried, taking another step back to pull her and slipped in a puddle of her blood, Candra's lifeless form falling atop him. Ryukai laid there, his body so frozen it had stopped shivering. His once life filled eyes when he was born now empty and dead. After a moment Ryu fazed, his small hybrid form clawing its way out from under his mothers body. Tears falling to the snow as the youngling looked over his, what he thought to be dead mother.

It wasnt long when howls were heard, Ryukai jumped, fazing back to human form and looking around shakily. He got up and took a few steps back just as wolves came running around the trees. Ryukai turned, running away from his mothers body, tears streaming down his cheeks. The wolves chased him, already exhausted from dragging his mother. That memory faded into a new one, leaving it open ended. The new memory was of a year younger... when Ryukai and his mother had been banished, and disowned by Ryuten. Candra was ushering little Ryukai along, tears in her eyes. The wolves were giving her a week to run before starting their hunt.

When it was nearly dawn Candra finally let Ryukai rest. While he laid his head to for sleep Candra shifted to human form, making Ryukai looked about 3ish in human form. Candra started to cry... she fell to her side, clutching her heart as she cried, her throat aching by 3 am as she still cried at the loss of her love. Ryukai crawled up under her arm and the young boy tried to comfort her. Candra sat up and looked down at him. "You dont....deserve any of this.... I'm so sorry I brought you into all of this.... I was so selfish Ryu" She cried and cradled her son. "I love you so much.... but I'm a horrible mother for bringing you into this hateful world" She cried. Ryukai cried and clung to her, hiding his face aganst her chest. Then...Candra's hands slowly crept around her son's throat, and slowly began to tighten. "I'll be right behind you....but I wont make you live this life" She cried. Ryukai...so young only closed his eyes and waited...but it never came.

The memories faded and Ryukai slammed his father in the chest once more with his tail.... only staring at him as tears slid down from his glowing green hues

Ryu's good eye narrowed sharply. A shadow barrier formed around him as he stood ground against his son's assault. His head turned slightly as he Ryu came at him a second time, this time breaking through his barrier. The older dragon dashed forward and then turned around, his black wings now ripping from his back along with his own tail. He took a form that was more or less between his human and demon form. "I see...so in reality...you blame yourself. Its not necessarily me you hate...its you...right?" Ryu frowned before slamming the side of his tail into Ryukai's face. He extended his wings and flew right into Ryukai's body delivering a nearly bone breaking punch. "Like I said, you're selfish. Its a parent's job to care for his or her child. You may not like it, but it was Candra's decision. I can promise you that if she had a chance to do it all over, you'd still be born." he stated before flapping wings so that his body was propelled backwards.

The gods blinked and Kasumi and Kei yelped looking for their father and brother. In the other world where Ryu dragged them Ryukai's eyes turned acidic green, almost glowing. "I AM A CURSE TO HER BECAUSE OF HER SACRIFICE!!!!!" He screamed, black shadowed razors ripping through the tendrils that bound him. Ryu's skin ripped from his body as he took his hybrid form. "You call this a fucking life!!! To have to watch my mother suffer every inch of the way! You call me a boy when you underestemate how much I know, because of my link with my own mother!!! I felt her pain all these years, I had to live, lying to to her for so long when she lost her memory! No I dont know all these emotions and experiences first hand, but trust me when I say I HAVE FUCKING LIVED THEM THROUGH MY MOTHER!!!" He screached and slammed his tail into his father chest hard. "Her love for me took everything away from her! Her pack, her love, her very life! All for me, having to suffer, to hide, to hunt, to bleed, to cry!!! You think I wanted her to live that life because of me! I'm the reason she's in this state, had I never agreed to taking refuge under the dragons then she would still be unaware of anything at all! She wouldnt have to live with all the those horrid memories. "I've only seen her smile, a true smile once.... once in my whole fucking life, you can't even tell when she's faking!" He screamed and ripped his claws against Ryuten's back, a deadly hiss passing his jaws

Ryu slowly turned his head back towards his son. That was the last straw. He hand warned Ryukai to watch his mouth. As Ryu's eye turned into a cat like slit, dark tendrils came shooting up from the ground and locked around Ryukai's neck. "Hold off on the gate." The older dragon muttered before he dragged his son down into a void like existence. Ryu's own body shortly sunk into floor below. When he resurfaced, there was nothing but darkness around them. The entire 'world' seemed to be made out of the stuff. It had no mass, no volume, the world was completely empty. Sighing deeply, the aura around his body spiked slightly. He always knew that there would come a time when Ryukai and him would probably have to fight, he had just hoped that it wouldn't be so soon. "So you feel that you should have been aborted huh? Thats selfish. For one, when your mother found out she was pregnant she had already made up her mind to have you. She was afraid of how I would've reacted...but not even that would have stopped her. She loved you even before you were born. She knew the risks involved with giving birth to a half breed. She knew it all and in yet, you stand here, cursing her decision, her sacrifice." Ryu hissed as he tightened the tendrils around his son's body. "I may have made allot of mistakes...and I know the suffering you've been through is my fault as well, but I'll be damned before I allow you, a child, to constantly throw those mistakes in my face! You know nothing of the world. You know nothing of love or sacrifice, nothing personal. Why, because you've never felt it boy. Yes, I have very BIG issues with leaving Sasha behind. You'd understand that if you were an adult, but you're not. You're nothing more then a child with a chip on his shoulder..."

"Right away" Hati said with a simple nod of his head and turned to prepare the passage to the heavens. Ryukai chuckled in the corner. "Maybe now you can finally get a small picture of what it was mother went through when she chose to have me..." He growled as he stood up, now in human form. "She threw away everything because of you....and because of me... If you had just left her alone to be with her own kind she would have never had to turn her back on her own people, and even worse, have them turn on her and hunt her down like a criminal because she chose to birth me" He snarled. "It's both our damn faults, why the fuck didnt you try to convince her to abort me when she had the chance!" Ryukai snarled. Seeing his mother so close to death and hearing his father still fretting over his own kind instead of focusing only on her.... the many years of hardships was drawing thin on the boy who's had to shoulder so much weight on his young life. "If you werent prepared to deal with the same shit she's been through because of me, your child, then why the fuck arent you! She devoted her everything to you, to have you run away, then return in her life only to watch her die!" Ryukai barked

Ryu became silent. Would it really take Candra a few weeks to recover? Ryu wasn't even sure if the Empire would last a few weeks. Deathwing was being poisoned and due to the stress of the war, the poison had finally caught up. Plus, if he did leave he'd have to really abandon Sasha to whatever fate Jabberwock had planned for her. The very thought left a bad taste within Ryu's mouth. He didn't understand why he had to walk away from his own people. Why couldn't he take care of Candra and his country at the same time? Sighing softly, Ryu looked back at Hati and gave him a nod. "Prepare a passage. We'll leave tonight." he replied softly as his hands tightened around Candra's paws. Ryu had made allot of tough decisions in his life, but this by far was the hardest and was tearing him apart from the inside out.

Candra's ears twitched, hearing Ryu's voice a little closer than what it had been. Her tail lightly wagged feeling his hands on her paws. "Mind you she wont get better over night... it will take a few weeks most likely depending on your loyalty to her" Hati said. Skoll growled, "She wouldnt have ended up that way had the dragon not ignored her messages, or drifted away from her because of the war." Skoll huffed. "Hush, its unbelieveable she had such strong connections to him... its unheard of for the most part among mortals let alone demons, how was he to know" Hati growled at his hot headed brother.

"Dad, let leave the capitol. Mom will get better if we bring her home right? Back to the wolf territories in the south" Little Kei said. "Yeah papa, I want to go home, I dont like it here" Kasumi whimpered softly. Candra remained silent but her tail was wagging, just a little at the sounds of home. "She'll be in wolven state for awhile until her body recovers it's energy" Hati said and looked at Ryu, "We can grant you heavenly passage" He said. Skoll shot up his hackles standing on edge. "Are you insane! Father would be furious!!!" Skoll snarled. "Father will understand" Hate said and looked to Ryu once again. "It's your choice but it would be the safest and quickest passage to her territory" He said

Ryu had had just about enough from both the gods. He turned around, ready to snap on both of them until he heard the details surrounding Candra's condition. He had had never heard of such a thing. Honestly, it sounded ridiculous. After everything they had been through, Ryu found it odd that she would come down with such a disease now. However, if that was in fact what Candra was suffering from, Ryu knew what he'd have to do. He had already been kicked out by his father...so abandoning his clan wasn't that much of a stretch. However, inside Ryu still desired to save Sasha. God knew what kind of treatment she was being put through by Jabberwock. Clearly, the dragon cared very little for the alliance they had with the Tigers. Then again, he was known as 'Crazy Dragon' so maybe that was why. Sighing softly, Ryu turned around and took a knee by Candra's bedside once more. He gently took hold of her hands once more. "Listen to me Candra..." Ryu whispered softly as he placed his lips just inches away from her ears. "Its no mystery that you and I have allot of issues to work out. Its no mystery that we've both hurt each other in the past...neither of us are innocent. However...I know that you love me and I you. Please, do not allow this disease to take you away from me, to take you away from our children. You will have my full attention. Never will you have to worry about another coming before you." Ryu whispered so only Candra could hear him. He nose gently nuzzled into her neck as he grabbed her hands tighter. "Please...dont die...come back to me..."

Kasumi shakily took the goodie bag that her grandmother gave her. Kei look up at her then past her and glared at his grandfather and pushed the bag away with his nose and turned trotting after his sister. When they got to the hotel Ryukai didnt say a word as he laid down in a corner. Kasumi was laying on the ground whimpering while Kei tried to comfort her. hearing their grandfather's oppinion of them just made her hate her for what she was all the more. "I cannot leave unless the one who called me sends me back... and then there is still the discussion of payment I suppose you could call it." Hati said and the two gods continued to follow them anyway. "In the way my ass, you only say that because we arent doing what you want us to" Skoll yawned. Candra coughed after drinking the little bit of water, her ears folded back. Skoll looked to Hati as Ryuten pleaded to Candra to live. "Perhaps you should just tell him, because if he is so dense that he hasnt figured it out yet then she will be doomed to die" Skoll said.

Hati sighed and walked up and sat, nuzzling Candra's muzzle before looking to him. "She's dying.... because of your uncertainty..." He said. "It's rare, hardly ever heard of but... when a soul connects with another to the extent that hers has done with yours.... the rejection of your soul....can slowly tear her body apart and devour her heart and soul... it's time you make it clear. Are you willing to turn your back on your very kind... to abandon the war in order to live a life with her and your children? Or will you remain in between, wanting to save her and the lives of your people. You can only make one choice, as I've said before" Hati said. Candra's eyes shifted around the room, but were far away, as if she were searching for the voices she could hear, but didnt see who they came from.
