Chasing Time and Spells(mature)

As Yugo was swarmed Ayane got up and stretched. He was keeping his cool well enough. When Izumi leaned in she glanced at her. "Yugo? Not at all, he just gets that kind of attention from girls" She said. She walked toward the door, "Hey Yugo, come on, I'll show you around" She said looking back toward him. She knew he'd be able to hear her just fine even over the clatter of all the other people

Once class was over, Yugo was swarmed by just about every girl, and a few of the guys in class. "Hey you're pretty big. You should join the football team!" one of the guys smiled. "Whats...football?" Yugo blinked as he sat back in his seat. The guys all blinked. "Did you grow up in a cave???" one of them asked. "No, dick." Yugo frowned. "I was born in one. I didn't grow up in one." he stated. That caught most of the other students off guard. "Hey Ogami-kun, whats your sign?" Asked Rika, the renowned class flirt. "Huh??" Yugo blinked again. Rika slid on top of his desk and crossed one leg over the other. It allowed her skirt to rise up a little giving Yugo a nice little show. "You know, when were you born?" Rika asked while leaning forward a bit. Izumi frowned. Her eyes shifted over towards Ayane while she leaned in. "This is him right? Is he...by chance...a womanizer Ayane??" She asked.

"Be quiet Kota, as class president your supposed to be more welcoming, not making someone feel out of place no matter who they are" Ayane said giving Kota a look. She sat down, her blue hues settled on Yugo once more. As he sat down next to her she leaned down as well, resting her head on her arms. As Izumi screamed behind her she winced from the loudness of her friends voice. She couldnt wait to talk with him

"I object!" Kota countered. Sensei pressed his palm into his face. Things were getting out of control. "Ayane...you know him?" Izumi blinked as her gaze shifted between her and the new student. "He's a 'friend' " Kota frowned. Yugo simply crossed his arms over his chest. He hadn't come to the school because he wanted to. "Ok Ok, Ayane-chan, please show Ogami-san around and while you're at it, fill him in on the rules." Sensei stated. Kota raised his hand. "Yes Kota..I know you object.." Sensei sighed. "Lets just leave this to Ayane for now. You two can start after class." Sensei stated. Yugo nodded. "Ok...now for a seat.." Sensei mumbled, but Yugo had already started walking. He took the seat to Ayane's left. Izumi stared blankly at him. He was cute and definitely had the whole bad boy act down pat. "OMG! He's the bad boy!!!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs while jumping to her feet.

Kota's eyes shot wide open. "Sit down!" Sensei yelled. Izumi's cheeks turned bright pink. She quickly sat back down, her eyes on her desk. Yugo pressed his head into his desk. He really, really didn't want to spend his time hanging around human children, but he needed to talk to Ayane.

Ayane still wasnt paying much attention even when the class room became buzing with excitement. It was when she heard his voice, his name she looked up with wide hues. "Yugo??" She blinked as he waved to her. She stared at him in disbelief, what was he doing in her school! Her hues brightened for the first time in a month! She had so many questions! "Sensei, if you'll allow it, I'll show Yugo around the school, and help him adjust" Ayane offered as she stood up.

"Ok everyone take your seats." Called the sensei as he walked in. He looked depressed. "Alright, as I'm sure you all already know, we're getting a knew student. He's...interesting..." Sensei laughed nervously. Kota blinked. He wondered what kind of classmate they'd be getting. Sensei released a final sigh. Why was he being put in such a position? The new student was going to be nothing but trouble. "Alright, come on in." he called from outside the classroom door. As the door slid open, Kota's face turned blue. "W-W-Why?!!" he exclaimed. Izumi leaned forward with big pink hearts forming within her eyes. "Cutie!!!" she exclaimed. The new student walked up towards the front of the classroom and grunted. Sensei rubbed the back of his head. "Um...this is the part where you introduce yourself...you know...like your name...hobbies...likes..." he stated.

The new student sighed heavily. "Ogami Yugo. Hobbies...none of your damn business. Likes...the same." Yugo growled at the teacher. He was wearing the same white T, only this one had black long sleeves with bright flames running up his arms.

Kota shot up to his feet. "Sensei I object! Just look at him. There's no way he's a high school student. Plus look at that scar across his nose!" he hissed. Sensei rubbed the back of his head. "Ogami-san...is just large for his age. He's actually the same age as all of you." he stated. "As for the scar..." he paused and shifted his gaze over towards Yugo. "Got it in a fight...with a cat.." he stated. Suddenly, his sharp golden hues shifted over towards Ayane. "Yo. Long time no see." he called and gave her a small wave. In a flash, the eyes of every student in the class were on Ayane.

Ayane was leaning her head down on her desk. She was rolling her pencil and and down along the desk. School felt like such a chore sometimes. She was smart...she never really needed to study. When Kota came over she turned her head. Everyone always gathered around her for some reason. The news of a new student didnt really intrigue her like the other

"Fine." Izumi frowned while crossing her arms over her chest. Kayla never helped when it counted. "Then you tell me what we should do? Just pretend that everything is fine?" she frowned.

The next day at school, Izumi had been debating how to talk to Ayane. Second period was about to start soon and Izumi wondered if Ayane would want to skip. However, they'd have to find a way to get past Kota, the class president. "Hey guys." Kota called as he ran over towards Ayane's desk. Izumi sat right behind her. "I just heard that we're getting a new transfer student!" He exclaimed. Izumi blinked twice. "Its the middle of the semester..." she blinked again. Kota shrugged. "I know its weird, but the new guys is on his way with Sensei." he stated. "Is he cute?" Izumi chimed. Kota rubbed the back of his head. "Well...I haven't seen him...and even if I had...I dont think I'b be able to judge another guy's cuteness level..."

"Um...Izumi..thats just it, we dont know who the guy is or what he looks like. Besides I dont think we should go messing around with her life, she's already been irritable enough about her mom butting in so much, do you want to push her away too?" Kayla asked looking at the girl

Ayane didnt even look up to see who was running away. She didnt care all the much. She sighed and walked slower...she didnt want to go home...she wanted to go run through the streets and look for Yugo...ask him what was with those fires...and injuring people again...ask if he was okay...

Izumi sighed in frustration. They had to do something. They couldn't just sit by and watch their best friend ruin her life. "Then...what do we do?" she asked, but then suddenly blinked twice and sat up. "Wait..what if we were to meet him? Right now, we cant do anything because we dont know him. But, if were able to meet him maybe we'd have some leverage over Ayane." IZumi suggested

Back in the alleyway. a few guys were leaning against some buildings smoking. When they saw Ayane, their faces all went pale. They were same guys that had watched Yugo rip their leader's throat out. "Shit!" one of them spat as soon as Ayane came from around the corner. The boy quickly ran for his life, followed by the others.

"I dont like it any more than you do, but do you really think she wants to hear us hounding her? She is on house arrest of sorts by her mother, plus from what I hear, her and her mother are barely talking, or she's not talking to her mother anyway. Kayla said. Ayane cut through some ally's she had finally worked up the nerve to start taking her short cuts again since that night she had almost been raped.

"Hey, Ayane!!" Izumi screamed. She looked over at Kayla. "I'm worried. What if...What if Ayane is in trouble? She didn't answer when I asked if she was being hit." Izumi mumbled, now feeling depressed. "Should we talk to her brother? He might know something." she advised.

Ayane slammed her hands against the table. "I'm going home!" She growled. She didnt need to have this discussion with her friends, she was already being drilled about it by her mother almost every day. She grabbed her bag and walked out the door. It didnt need to make sense to anyone else, no one else ever got to see Yugo's sweet side except her...so she was willing to take a little abuse, but it was helping her prove to him that she meant him no harm and that she didnt hate him despite how he had abused her

"That unfortunate..." IZumi replied softly. "However, that doesn't mean that you have to waste your time Ayane." She stated, but then paused. She had never known Ayane to make excuses for anyone. "Wait...this guy...he doesn't hit you does he???" IZumi blinked, her expression suddenly becoming stone cold. She looked over at Kayla. They definitely needed to fix Ayane up with someone else. The whole school knew that Kota had a huge crush on Ayane. Maybe he could take Ayane's attention off her current bad boy.

"Seriously Aya, a bad boy may seem like fun but they are all just bad news" Kayla said sternly. "No...well I mean...its just that all his life everyones been calling him a monster...so I think thats why he acts like one...like why try to change peoples minds if this is how they see me sort of thing...I feel horrible for him that he's lived a life like that" Ayane said

Izumi's eyes shot wide open. She stared blankly at Ayane. This...This was the girl who had ignored EVERY single guy who had been interested in her since middle school. Actually, it wasn't even ignoring, Ayane just plain failed to notice. "I feel so sorry for Kota-kun.." Izumi muttered so Ayane couldn't hear. She sighed and leaned forward a bit. She never pegged Ayane for the type that would fall for a bad boy. "So, is a delinquent or something? I'm guessing he was raised in the country then?" Izumi asked, tho her eyes were shifting towards Kayla. She'd need some backup. "You know Ayane...you dont have to put up with someone who cant control his temper. You dont have to make excuses for him either. There are plenty of nice guys at our school that would love a shot with you." Izumi grinned. "Why, I think I have the number of one!"

Ayane blinked as she was pulled back to sit down. She looked at Izumi. "Well...I mean kinda...It's not like he's my boyfriend or anything like that but my mom doesnt want me around him because of his short temper...he tends to...get out of hand when he gets angry but thats because he's not used to living in the city and doesnt understand a lot about it" she said

"Wait Ayane.." Called Izumi, the third member of their bff group. She knew that Ayane was on lock down, but hadn't been told why. Everyday she watched Ayane grow more and more depressed. It was like someone had stolen a piece of her soul. "For a whole month all you've done is mope around. How about you tell us whats going on?" Izumi asked softly, tho she had a hunch. Izumi wondered if Ayane had gotten herself a boyfriend. The only problem with that theory was that Ayane was a little slow when it came to guys. "Come on Ayane confess!" Izumi smiled as she pulled her friend back down into her seat. "Its a guy right? Thats why your mom has been extra strict lately right?"

After two weeks past, Ayane was getting depressed. She missed Yugo. She didnt understand herself why she wanted to see him so badly since it wasnt like they had known eachother for more than a month, but even so she wanted to see him. Her mother as she though was keeping her on a tight leash, she had all her friends in on it. They were out at a mc donalds eating, well they were Ayane was poking at some fries while sipping on some water. Of course she heard about all the rumors around town, but it only made her want to see Yugo more. "Aya!" Her friend Kayla said waving her hand in front of Ayane's face. Ayane blinked. "Yeah?" She asked. "Snap out of it will ya, your making us depressed" She said. "Hm...sorry..." Ayane said and got up. "I'm just gonna go home..." She said

Mom closed her eyes tightly. It hurt. It hurt so much to be at odds with Ayane. She loved her, but Yugo was no good and at the moment, Ayane was too young to see it. As she rubbed her eyes, Grandpa came outside after watching Ayane walk in. "C-Can we trust the Li's to keep their word, that they wont harm Ayane anymore?" She asked. "I think so." Grandpa replied softly. "They were desperate for Kasumi-sama's book. I believe if we cooperate everything will be fine." he stated. "Good...because I want my daughter back..." Mom shuddered.

About a month passed since Yugo had last been seen. There were reports in the paper about small fires breaking out and few men that had died, their bodies burned to a crisp. During that month, Mom kept Ayane on lockdown. She was allowed to go to school, which had been rebuilt, and that was about it. Tho, every now and then Mom allowed Ayane to hang with her friends if she wanted. Still, things were far from normal. Tho, there hadn't been any demon sightings in the last month. That, Mom was thankful for.

Ayane glared at her mother, even while she was crying. "You should be thanking him...if he hadnt convinced me to come back I wouldnt be here" She growled and walked toward the house. No one was able to touch the book accept Ayane...and there was no way in hell that she would surrender ownership of it. "Oh by the way, your friends the Li's tried to kill me when I went to meet him the other day, something to look forward to" She muttered and walked into the house

Yugo was slow to return her embrace. Part of him feared that if he did, he'd have trouble letting her go. Still, this was best for her. As much as he loathed her grandpa, he knew that she needed her family.

When Ayane finally got back, Mom was waiting outside. Her eyes were puffy from the hours she'd spent crying. "I hope you had a good time, because this is the absolute last time you'll be running off." She sobbed. In her hand, she held her phone. She had already called the Li's. In exchange for getting rid of Yugo, Mom would find a way to give them Kasumi's book. That was the source of their misfortune. Without the book and Yugo, their lives would return to normal

Ayane slowly nodded but walked back up to Yugo and wrapped her arms around him. Her mother was going to have her on house arrest for pulling such a stunt... She nuzzled her face against his chest before looking up at him with soft hues. She was going to miss his warm touch...even his childish outbursts... She slowly turned and leaned over grabbing her back and started to walked back toward the temple. Fixing her appearance a little

"Like I said." Yugo sighed. "Family comes before everyone and everything." he replied softly. On the inside, he wanted to see Ayane too. He wasn't sure if he liked her or not...but he had grown use to being around her somewhat. Also, he had been denying it, but there was something about being around her that relaxed him a little. "Go." Yugo ordered. If he had to, he'd drag her back to the temple himself. "You'll see me soon enough." Yugo replied softly.

Ayane blinked as he pulled her off his lap. She pressed her legs together, she was very wet down there..it felt a little embarrassing. She stood up as he did. "But she wont listen to me, she wont even give you a chance" She said defesively. When he pushed her she stumbled back a bit. "Yugo....I dont want to...I'm afraid she'll never let me out of the house if I go back..." She said. "I...want to see you...whenever I can...not when she choses..." she said, her hues saddened
