You Can't Save Me ((Yugo,Mature))

Shen took her tongue into his mouth. He couldn't describe just how amazing it felt to have hers running over his own. His arms gently wrapped around her body causing her chest to press down into his own. Shen moaned softly against her soft lips. After a while he pulled back, but not before nipping her bottom lip, like he often did just after they had finished making out. "Happy?" he smiled, his soft brown eyes beaming up into her own. His right hand came back to gently caress her cheek.

Kathrine closed her eyes just before his lips pressed against hers. She relaxed under the softness of his kiss. As he pulled back, her eyes remained closed, taking in everything of the moment. She felt his lips on hers once more, she returned the kiss, leaning up into his kiss, her lips slightly parting against his as her tongue slid along his lips slowly. She had almost forgotten how...pleasurable a kiss itself could be

Shen opened his eyes. Her request surprised him, but in a good way. It had been a while since they had kissed and Shen had found himself missing those soft lips of hers. "Ok." he smiled and leaned up some. His right hand gently caressed her cheek. His eyes closed as his lips slowly nearing her own. He kissed her, softly before pulling back a bit to take in the sensation. A soft smile soon spread across his lips before Shen leaned in again, only for a deeper kiss.

Kathrine continued to nuzzle against him. Taking in his heat, his scent...everything about him that had always made her feel safe and secure. Like all her worries no longer mattered while he held her. She looked back up at him, her violet hues staring up at him. "Kiss me?" She requested softly. Maybe it was the hormones, but she felt a need of reasurance through physical contact...that and...his kisses always were the best...

Shen nodded. The soft gaze in her eyes was enough. Honestly, he didn't know if they'd ever get back to 100%. Chances were they wouldn't, which was exactly why Shen had no intention on proposing to her. Marrying her would only lead to resentment. She'd feel trapped, like she didn't have a choice due to being pregnant. Kate, by her own confession, needed him. She couldn't raise a kid, yet alone make it through her pregnancy without him. Shen only hoped that the two of them would be able to 'work' on their relationship and maybe someday...marry.

Kathrine blinked when he confessed he still loved her. She didnt respond... She looked up at him with soft eyes, unlike her controlled narrowed hues she had used to glare at him for so long now. "....I know..." She said softly and nuzzled herself against him. She remembered when she had first confessed to him and he turned her down....now it seemed like it was the other way around....

Shen laid back and closed his eyes. He hadn't gotten any sleep. He had been too focused on watching over Kate. Actually, he wasn't even sure what time it was. The day had been so long, so chaotic. "Katherine.." Shen whispered, tho was loud enough for her to hear. "I love you. That will never change." Shen confessed. His head turned so his eyes locked onto her own. "I dont expect a reply from you. I just...need you to know that. I dont care...about any of this...I still love you."

Kathrine blinked and and looked down. "I-I'm not blushing" She said as her blush simply became darker. As he moved onto the bed with her she looked up at him as he kissed her cheek. She moved up against him and rested her head against his chest. She let out a slow relaxed sigh as his presence over took her

Shen blinked twice. It seemed like forever since she had shown him anything but a scowl. "You're still the cutest when you blush." he smiled brightly while moving onto the bed. He leaned in close and pressed his lips softly after her darkened cheek. "Relax Katherine." Shen whispered as his arms came to wrap gently around her battered body. Right now it was just him and her. Shen's mother had returned to her penthouse, but would be back later on to check on Kate's condition. Her motherly instincts told her that her one and only son was hiding something from her.

Kathrine shifted on the bed, moving over toward the edge. "Will you lay with me?" She asked while patting the open space on the bed. "Your....the only one I can really relax around..." She said and looked off to the side with a stubborn blush

"O-Oh...my apologies..." Shen whispered while lightly bowing his head. "I understand your concerns, honestly I do. I actually...share some of them." he confessed. Shen really wasn't a fan of surprises, and this was the biggest he could possibly imagine. "But I think you and I will be fine as long as we're there for each other." Shen replied softly. He placed his hands on top of Kate's and kissed them softly.

"What?....no" She said firmly and lightly glared at him as he asked to take the child. "Just because I'm not sure, and...dont have any experience with children or raising one doesnt mean I'm not going to try....I'm just....I'm afraid is all....I'm...still kind of a kid myself..." She said and ran her hand through her hair again

Shen closed his eyes for a moment. He figured that was how she felt. Even if he had promised to be there for her, Shen knew that inside Kate held no desire to have children. "How about...we just see how everything plays out? If at a later point you still are unsure...would it be ok if I raised the child alone?" Shen asked while gazing up into her eyes. He knew that was he was asking was weird, but if his first child had any chance of surviving birth, he'd like to raise it. "I swear, you wont have to be involved. You can go about your life. However...to be honest...if I had a choice I would love nothing more than to have both you and our child by my side."

Kathrine for the first time after being raped and awaking from nightmares didnt flinch from Shen's comforting touch, as if knowing it was him as soon as he touched her before she even looked at him. "Y-yeah...just a bad dream" She said and leaned into his hand. She wasnt surprised to hear that she had been asleep for awhile, and was relieved to hear that over all she was going to be alright. She wrapped her arms around her belly looking down. Was she even fit to be a mother? She didnt know the first thing about kids....she never really even liked kids... "I....I dont know if I'm ready for something like this..." She said and looked up at him

Shen was sitting right by her bedside. He was quick to respond to her nightmares, but that hadn't stopped her from screaming. "You ok?" he asked while leaning over to gently stroke her hair, like he had done many times before. "You've been out for almost five hours. I've spoken with the doctors. Physically your body isn't that bad. There was no vaginal or anal tearing. The drugs should be out of your system too. The only real concern is your leg. The doctors say it will take some time to heal..and even after you might have to undergo physical therapy to make sure that it sets correctly." Shen replied softly. "As for the fetus..." he paused. What could he tell her? Truth was Shen himself didn't know much which was the scary part. "We'll have to make frequent trips to the hospital. It's too early to tell what kind of state the baby is in." Shen stated. His soft brown eyes shifted down towards Kate's hands. He grasped them firmly while interlacing their fingers. "I'll be there through it all. I've already taken steps to see to the bills. In about a month my father will be coming to New York. I plan to have a discussion with him since he wont talk to me over the phone. Everything is going to be ok Katherine. I'll see to it...I promise."

Joshua, Jazz and Jacob all finally cleared out of the room, leaving Kathrine alone to sleep. She was completely exhausted., despite that...nightmares were quick to over take her mind. She awoke with a scream, sweat running down from her forehead. She looked around her surroundings and let out a slow sigh and ran her hand through her hair shakily

Shen listened intently to what the doctor had to say. IT seemed like most of Kate's basic concerns were out of the way. Her leg would take some time to heal, but that was expected. "I see.." Shen whispered. Concerning the baby, they'd just have to wait and see. When asked if he was the father, Shen nodded. "We're...90% sure that I am. If she's in her first month then the date matches with the last time we had sex. We should probably run my blood while we're both here tho. Oh, my name is Dr. Shen Li. I work over at Sacred Heart, the hospital on 22nd. Thank you for all you've done." Shen replied softly while shaking the doctor's hand. His eyes shifted back to Kate's room. There was a hard pit forming at the bottom of his stomach. Something told him that things were going to get harder for the both of them very soon.

"She was drugged up with that new rape drug, it's seems to more or less be out of her system now. We honestly can't tell for sure how this is going to affect the fetus until its more developed. She seems to be roughly a month into her pregnancy which means she'll be due....sometime in june or july, we'll be more accurate with a few more tests, but for now its best she rest as much as possible. Her leg is fractured in 3 places, along with a few hairline fractures. All the focus of her beating seems to be aimed at her right leg, her other legs just has some bruising that will heal in a couple days." He said while flipping some of the papers on her chart. "We examed her vaginal wall for any tearing, but thanks to the drug, she was well lubricated, so there shouldnt be any worries of infection. Tests for any std's came back negative. All and all, she's a lucky girl. Even more so to have so many loved ones who care about her" He said and looked in through the window at Her friends huddled around her as she slept. "If I may ask, are you the father of the child? When we asked, she never really gave us an answer" He said

After leaving his mom in a state of shock, Shen went to find Kate's doctor. The blood work should have been done by now. He found her doctor standing outside Kate's room. Apparently Kate had passed out. "She should sleep..." Shen whispered, his eyes softening for a moment before his attention shifted over towards the doctor. He pulled the man to the side so they could talk in private. "How is her overall condition...and can you tell the condition of the child?"

It didnt take long for Kathrine to pass out. Jazz was holding her hand, Jacob was running a hand through her hair as she slept on his shoulder. Joshua's head was in his hands. They felt just a miserable as Shen did...that all of them were there to protect her yet none of them....protected her...They all knew her past and they still werent there to prevent it from happening again.

"So how is she..all things considered?" Mei asked. Shen closed his eyes and let out an uneasy breath. "I wish...I could stop this from happening. This is the 4th time...that this has been done to her while I've known her..." Shen whispered as he leaned against the wall. "Its not her fault...she...she's the victim..." Shen explained. Mei stretched her arms out towards her son. It didn't take long for Shen to accept his mother's embrace. "Shen you dont have to explain her situation. I know already." Mei replied softly as she ran a hand down her son's back. She pulled away and cupped his cheeks while offering him a bright motherly smile. "What will you do now?" she asked. "Well..." Shen whimpered softly before straightening up a bit. "She'll have to remain here for a few days. She'll have to be tested to see if she contracted...anything. Also, her leg is fractured. Mom...its black and blue. It looks like her uncle beat her for hours non stop. Also, there's her previous condition. She's underweight and has drugs in her system, tho those under normal circumstances wouldn't be harmful.." Shen whisperd. "Normal?" Mei blinked. Shen shook his head. "Never mind. Oh, will you stick around? I want to skype father. There's something I want to discuss with you and him." Shen stated firmly. Mei blinked twice. She couldn't even began to imagine what Shen needed to discuss

Jazz wasnt being rude to Mei, But she was being livid to the nruse who was daring to tell them they couldnt see Kate. As soon as Shen gave the okay, Joshua and Jazz ran past him and into Kate's room. Kathrine had dried her eyes by the time they came in. "Kate, are you okay...." Joshua asked completely flustered. "That bastard, I swear I'm going to put the asshole through the most painful touture ever before killing him....god you leg...."Jazz said, seeing Kate's fractured leg, dark bruises covered her leg and it was completely swollen. After a few minutes, Jacob came in to. The three of them circled around her. Jacob had moved himself onto the bed, taking very little space, but enough to let her lean on him as he kept his arm around her

Shen dried his tears. It would probably take a while for them to stop, but he insisted on trying anyway. "Well then..I'll go see whats keeping the doctor." Shen smiled. He rose to his feet, but stopped to place a soft kiss on Kate's forehead before he left. They weren't out the woods yet. Most likely, Kate would have to stay in the hospital for a few days. The doctors would have allot of tests to run and on and the baby. In addition, Shen feared that Kate was too skinny, not because she had starved herself, but because of the natural shape of her body. If the baby wasn't getting enough sustenance it would die before too long. Such a thing would probably kill both shen and kate. Sighing, Shen wondered the halls looking for Kate's doctor. Then he saw them. Jazz was threatening to put one of the nurses through the wall if she and Josh weren't allowed through. Mei, who was meeting the roommates for the first time was trying to calm Jazz down. "Ah, its ok to let them through." Shen stated as he walked up to them. He'd keep Kate's pregnancy a secret until they got more information. "Kate is fine..but she's still a bit unstable." he whispered.

Kathrine looked down. Yes...he was at fault for everything that happened in China...and it was true they would have been in a whole different situation had he gone with her....but...he didnt, he chose to revenge over a future...a happy fully trustful one anyway. She nodded as he promised to change.. "I'm.....I'm going...to try too...and....change" She said and looked down

Shen suddenly looked up. Never...ever did he think he'd hear those words from her. He had been trying to fight it...but the fact that she wished that she had never met him had been ingrained into his brain. No..she was taking it back, it had been a lie? Shen hung his head. He had wished for forgiveness...but maybe this was too much. "I'm so sorry..." he whimpered softly. "I...I left you to pursue Yui's killer...you were right. I should have gone back to the states with you when I had the chance. Allot of the pain you suffered could have been avoided. Perhaps...we'd be in a different place right now if I had gone with you.." Shen muttered as he did tried to keep the tears at bay...yet...they continued to fall. "I'll change." he whispered, his head now raising so he could look her in the eyes. "I swear on my family name...I'll change. I'll protect both you and our child Katherine...I-I'll change..."
