You Can't Save Me ((Yugo,Mature))

After a few minutes of leaving her alone, Jake walked in with a cup of warm apple cider and knelt in front her her. "Baby girl" He said softly while brushing her bangs out of her face. She moved her head away from his hand and pushed him away. He leaned his chin on her legs while looking up at her. "I brought your favorite" He said and held up the apple cider. She glanced down at it and then to him, taking it and took a sip. "Thats my girl" He said with a gentle smile and sat back against the wall. He held out his arms and Kathrine slid off the toilet seat and curled up in his laps as her loosly wrapped his arms around her, and rested his chin on her head as she sipped at her cider. If Jake were to be given a title of some sort, he'd probably be the laid back brother type.

Shen left promptly. When he saw Jacob, he gave the boy a slight nod. "I believe she'll be completely sober within 30 minutes to an hour. Please keep an eye on her. I'll be back tomorrow to check on her condition as promised. I'm concerned that she's not eating properly. The drinking...well..." Shen sighed. He really could criticize KAte too much since he was the cause of it all. "Anyway, I'll be going. I apologize for disrupting your night." Shen whispered. He gave her roommates a small bow before leaving through the front door. Now, he had to deal with his Mother. Himiko, and whatever was left of the apartment.

Upon feeling his lips on her cheek her body tensed and she pushed his face away with her hand, still refusing to look at him though as she kept her eyes focused on the sink. "Get out!" She growled and pushed his face away. She curled herself up on the toilet seat once again. In the living room Jazz was sitting on the couch doing some homework. Joshua was talking to his boyfriend Jacob in the kitchen. "Hey Dude!" Jake said and lifted his hand in a friendly greeting. "She sobering up?' Josh asked

"Very well." Shen whispered. He rose to his feet, but stopped to press his lips gently against Kate's cheek while her face was turned. "Good night. Please dont drink anymore tonight. I doubt that you'd want me to come back again so soon. In addition, I'd end up spending the night to keep an eye on you. So, I suggest you throw whatever booze you have left away." Shen replied softly just before he turned towards the door to the bathroom

Kathrine turned her head and looked away from him as he tended to her other foot without saying a word. until he was done. "Will you leave now...." She said. She was sobering up now, but hadnt gotten to he screaming her head off at him stage yet. She still had enough of a buzz to keep her in a more docile state

"Give us a minute..I'll be leaving soon." Shen replied softly. First, he pulled Kate's foot out so he could finish wrapping it. Naturally, he did it gently so she felt no pain. "Kate..you can avoid me all you want but I will continue to check on you..and talk to you if given the chance. Everyday at 1:30 I'll be right here. Also, dont think for even a moment that you going on these drinking binges and finding other ways to hurt yourself will drive me off. It wont."

Kathrine didnt say a word. She sat there on the toilet. Hugging her legs against her body and kept her head buried into her arms. After a while of the silence Joshua poked his head in. "Everything...okay?" He asked softly. "....make him leave" Kathrine whimpered softly, not moving an inch

"Katherine..." Shen whispered softly. At first, he wasn't sure why she wouldn't want to hear his confession, but then he started putting together the pieces inside his head. "Katherine...you need to know that Yoko will always be in my thoughts. You never completely forget your first love. However, you must also know that Yoko is no longer in my heart. I'm free to love without feeling guilt towards her death. I do love you...and that wont change."

"DONT SAY THAT!" She yelled as he told her he loved her. "Dont....say that" She said she cried and wiped her eyes again. "I...dont want...to hear it..." She said as she buried her face into her arms. She felt like she'd always be in second place. And she hated the thought of settling for that place...2nd in his heart because he was hung up on Yoko...She couldnt stand it. How he had chosen Yoko over her...when Yoko was no longer there to offer him anything anymore...

Shen had more or less finished cleaning her feet. He was about to start bandaging her left one when she pulled her feet up onto the toilet. His gaze never met hers tho. There was no way he could look her in the eye, not now. "I know.. Shen whispered, his hands clutching the roll of bandages he was holding. "I know me not listening, me abandoning you...twice...has really messed things up. I know all that. I'm sorry. I wish...I wish I could go back in time and undo all the pain I've caused. Believe me!" Shen exclaimed as his head rose. His hands lightly gripped her legs. "I would gladly undo everything and the last thing I want is to cause you more pain! B-But...I cant just leave you alone. I know its not fair. I'll admit, it would be easy to just walk away. B-But...I love you Katherine. I want to make up for everything...and maybe someday...you and I can be together like we originally planned...I know it will take a while...but thats why I'm here. Thats why I wont stop coming over to check on you, to talk to you...even if you ignore me."

Kathrine leaned back against the toilet seat, her eyes still full of tears. She looked down at him with a drunken haze in her eyes as he cleaned her feet. "Why.....did you come...back" She said and lowered her head so her bangs covered her face. "why...didnt you...listen....." She whimpered and started to rub her face again. "Why didnt...you leave....me alone....." She cried softly. "I....I was used to...having nothing....to live for.....It..didnt bother...me....." She cried softly as she pulled her feet up onto the toilet and hugged her legs, hiding her face. "Why....did you have...to change....everything.....give me hope......and then....run away with it...." She whimpered

"I understand." Shen replied softly after Josh gave him the rundown on what was going on. He looked in the cabinets of Kate's bathroom, but after finding no medkits, he quickly walked into her room locating the one she had her mirror. When he came, his entire body froze. She had asked him the one question that he couldn't fully answer. Shen lowered his head. He silently moved in front of her and bent down to take a look at her feet. They weren't bad, but he'd bandage them just to be safe. After a few minutes of silently picking the glass out and cleaning her cuts Shen finally spoke. "I was a fool.." he muttered while trying to find the inner strength to speak. "I wanted to go with you. I knew right after you left that I had made the wrong decision...and in yet...I continued to make the wrong choices. Katherine...I cant express in words...j-just how sorry I am for the physical, mental, and emotional suffering I've caused you..."

When I got home I found her door locked. She must have hidden a bottle of whiskey when we cleaned out the house the last time this happened." Josh said. Kathrine cried softly. "Dont be mad at her Shen....its...its off schedule. I wasnt expecting ehr to go into this stage so fast." Joshua said while Shen took her to the bathroom. Kathrine actally had her own med kit in the cabinette behind the mirror. She sat on the toilet rubbing her face with her arms. "W-why....did you....leave" She whimpered as she rubbed her eyes, covering her face. I-i dint hear back from you....all-all this time...a-and now...y-you wont...leave me-...alone" She cried. "W-Why didnt...you choose...me" She choked back another cry. Referring to when he had chosen to stay in China and not come with her.

"What the hell?" Shen muttered as he watched Kate walk right across the broken glass. He flinched as the scent of her booze covered breath hit his nose. "How has she been like this?" Shen asked as he gazed over at Jazz. "Not too long ago she was talking with my mother..." he stated, his soft gaze now shifting down towards Kate as she buried her head into his chest. "I'll clean her up...be right back." Shen stated. Right now, the best thing he could do was to take care of her feet and make sure he got all the glass out. After that, he'd work on sobering her up. "Come on Katherine. Lets get you fixed up.." Shen whispered. He guided her back towards her bathroom and sat her on the toilet. He hadn't brought his mid kit, so he'd have to use whatever supplies she had in bathroom to pick the glass shards out of her feet.

Kathrine looked up from where she was curled up on the floor. Her face was stained with tears, as her violet hues looked up at him. Kathrine slowly stood up. Her balance completely off. The whiskey bottle next to her feet was completely empty. "Sh-Shenn" She whimpered as she stumped toward him, stepping in the broken glass without even flinching. She tripped over her own feet and stumbled into him, her hands grasping his shirt tightly as she buried her face into his chest crying

"Yea...its me." Shen sighed. He wasn't surprised when Jazz shut the door on his face. He was about to knock again, only harder, but Josh had come to the door. Shen's eyes narrowed. Then, he heard the sounds of breaking class. Was Kate having one of her fits? Shen pushed past Josh. If Kate was abusing herself he needed to stop her. He walked swiftly through the living room and right into Kate's room spotting the shards of shattered glass that were all over the floor. "Kate!"

Jazz opened the door, her eyes narrowed as soon as she saw Shen. "Oh...its you" She muttered and shut the door. Jazz told Josh who was here and Josh was the one to open the door next. "Hey...um tonights...really not a good night Shen" He said. Just then the sound of glass smashing could be heard. "Kathrine...come on, it's alright" Jazz's voice came. The faint sound of her crying could be heard as well.

Shen, who wanted to avoid being caught in the crossfire of man kind's greatest war, left his apartment. He walked a few blocks before stopping to wave down a taxi. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and scrolled down till he found Kate's number. He was sure she wouldn't reply to a txt, but he sent one anyway. "Coming over to check on u. Sry its so late." he texted. About 45 minutes later, Shen arrived at the foot of Kate's apartment. He walked up the door and knocked twice. It was late, but only around 9:30pm so he was sure that Kate was still awake.

Joshua had came home and as his usual routine, went to check on Kate. He frowned finding the door was locked. "Kate!" He yelled and started knocking on her door. "Open up!" he called and continued to bang on the door. Kathrine was curled up in the corner, no longer using a shot glass,just holding the bottle in one hand while her other hand covered her face. Joshua slammed his fist into the door. Normally the drinking binges happened month to month...was it because now Shen was around that it was happening so much quicker?

Mei was sitting on the couch inside the living room. Shen walked up to her, serving her a glass of water. "So, what kind of person is your roommate. Is it a female?" Mei asked with just a hint of irritation. "How did you know she was female??" Shen blinked twice. "I can smell the scent of perfume in the air. Do you wear perfume son?" Mei asked, but all she got from Shen was a silent stare. Then, as if the situation couldn't have gotten any worse, Himiko came waltzing out of her room half asleep. This time, she was wearing a dark purple lacy bra with little hearts sown into the material with some matching panties. "Crap.." Shen muttered while pressing his palm against his head. Mei rose to her feet, her gaze narrowing sharply. Himiko rubbed her eyes. "~Shen...I'm hungry~" She groaned cutely. "Its in the middle of the day. Shouldn't you cook something for yourself, assuming you can cook. Then again, you seem to lack the ability to dress yourself so I suppose it would be safe to assume that you can not cook either." Mei spat. Himiko let out a long yawn as she stretched her arms out over her head, giving both Shen and his mother a nice glimpse of her breasts. "~Shen...who's the bitch~?" Himiko groaned. Suddenly, Mei's eyes turned black! There was an intense, nearly demonic aura radiating from her body. "Crap...." Shen muttered again, which was about all he could say

When Kathrine got hom she more or less locked herself up in her room without a word to Jazz or Josh. Both of them new it was going to be a process until she more or less stablized. Kathrine reached under her bed and pulled out a bottle of whiskey, digging through her desk drawers and found a shot glass and helped herself to a few shots

After they arrived at Shen's apartment, Shen tried to quickly get out of the limo. He was too slow however. His mother was already out of the car inspecting where he was living. "Will you show me your apartment?" she asked. Shen paused. He really, really didn't want to. "I..suppose" Shen whispered. God he hoped that Himiko was wearing some clothes. Shen had been her roommate for maybe 3 days. IT had taken him a while, but he had managed to clean up the apartment. He could actually breath through his nose now. However, for whatever reason Himiko was still walking around in lacy underwear.

Kathrine nodded at Mei's demand. "You have it" She said simply. She turned and started to head home, people staring at her and whispering. She was used to that...there was far too much she was used to...she just....wished everyone would leave her alone....when she was alone...she didnt have to worry about anything....being hurt, hurting others.... being alone kept things simple...

Mei stared hard at Kate for a few moments. Honestly, she felt so sorry for the girl. She was broken, more so then what Mei remembered. "Give me your word." Mei sighed softly. Her attention then turned towards the cops. The older, yet still hot for her age, women was able to talk the cops into giving Kate a warning. Shortly after the cops left Mei's limo returned. "Right here, tomorrow at three." she stated as the driver opened the door for her. "K-" Shen called, but the door had been shut. "Nows not a good time." his mother whispered, her eyes hidden by dense black sunglasses. "You really screwed up shen." Mei whispered. Shen lowered his head as the car pulled off. "I know." he replied softly. "Well...the good news is that she obviously regrets losing you. Maybe...its not too late, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you...son."

Kathrine looked up at her with empty hues as her clothes were shoved back into her arms. "Can we do it tomorrow...." She said, her voice exhausted. She put her jacket back on. "I'll....be....better to adress...tomorrow..." She requested simply while she gathered her things and looked at Mei. "We can go get coffee...maybe go window shopping at the mall near campus" She said
