You Can't Save Me ((Yugo,Mature))

The pendant hit Shen right in the face and fell to the floor. After that, Shen silently excused himself. He only had one suitcase and the case that held his laptop. He also had his medkit so all in all he didn't have that much stuff to carry. "Goodbye." Shen whispered while gripping his things. He walked out through the front door and sat his suitcase on the steps. His eyes shifted up towards the sky. It was starting to snow. Shen could feel a strong winter chill spreading through the air. "Great...this must be fate's idea of a continuing punishment..." he muttered while picking up his things. He headed for the buss stop. Now, he had to figure out where he was going stay...

Kathrine slammed her hand against the wall when he didnt move. "Get Out!!!" She yelled. As he made his request she threw her hand to her neck, feeling the pendant. She grabbed it and ripped it off her neck and chucked it at him. "Leave me ALONE!!!" She screamed. Jazz came running out of her room. "What the hell is goin on" She yelled and looked at Kate her hues widened. She ran into the room and wrapped her arms around Kate as she crumpled to the floor. "Why did you let him in! Why is he here!" She screamed. "Shh calm down Kate" Jazz demanded, holding her tightly to keep the girl from hurting herself

Shen couldn't remember ever seeing Kate this angry, not that he didn't deserve. He did realize that he needed to give her some space...well...more like allot of space. "Ok." Shen whispered. "I still have your number. I'm going to text you when I find a place to stay. Also.." Shen paused and looked down at his watch. "At exactly 11:30am in three days I will be back to talk to you. You can refuse, but I'll be back the next day and the day after that at the exact same time. I'm...Kate.." Shen paused, his eyes falling to the ground. There was no way his words would reach. "I have one request." he whispered, knowing that now wasn't the time to ask anything of her. "Dont destroy the picture in that locket. Its...very important to the both of us.." he replied softly while pointing to the necklace around her neck. After that, he turned and left Josh's room to collect his things.

Joshua sighed and backed off. He had given his warning.... Kathrine's hues were glued to Shen, she had her back pressed against the wall, she was shaking, she was so tense. She didnt say a word, she was clenching her teeth. God how she wanted to curse him out and throw whatever her hands could find at him until he left. All she was seeing right now was red. "Get.....out...." She said through clenched teeth

Shen's shoulder brushed Josh's hand off. "I just want five minutes." he stated, his light brown eyes shifting back towards the boy. He then looked forward at Kate. He had a good idea of how she must have felt. He had allot to answer for. "Just five minutes Kate. After that I'll leave and you'll never have to see me, talk to me, or hear of me unless you want to." he whispered softly. "Please just five minutes...I'm...not going to ask you to forgive me. I just want to say...well...a few things..." he replied softy.

Joshua was about to explain but Shen figured it out already. He walked after Shen. Kate stood in Josh's room, glaring at Shen. "Shen...I really... dont think thats a good idea..." He said and put a hand on Shen's shoulder. He lifted a hand at Kathrine, motioning her to not say or do anything. Her body was trembling she was so angry. What the hell was he doing here!? It was because of his wanting to cut a deal with her that got her raped, because of his obsession with his fucking dead ex that she had gone through so much!

Shen turned onto his back. It only took a few seconds after hearing Josh's voice for him to wake up. He blinked twice and looked over to his right. Something was wrong. The air had a negative charge to it. "Where's Kate?" he asked while sitting up. He ran his hands through his black hair tying it into a short ponytail. His eyes scanned Josh's face. "Kate?" Shen called. He got up and made his way past her roommate. He almost walked right past Josh's room, but stopped just in time to catch sight of Kate. Her face said it all. The love within her eyes had been replaced by pure unfiltered rage. "Josh...can you give us just five minutes?" Shen asked softly. He knew better than to try and explain himself. Kate wasn't going to listen. Still, he needed to say something before she burned all the pictures they had taken...

Kathrine's body stiffened as he stirred. She slowly made her way out of her room and slamed the door of Joshua's room open. "What the FUCK is he doing here!?" She yelled. Joshua sleepily looked up from his bed. "Whaa?" He asked. "What the fuck is Shen doing in our apartment...in my room!!!???" She hissed. Joshua sat up. "You reset" He said while rubbing his eyes. Kathrine glared at him. "Get....Him....Out" She growled, her hues were filled with fury. "Alright, alright" He said and got up. "Just stay here" He yawned and walked into Kate's room. "Shen...hey...wake up man" Joshua said while shaking Shen's shoulder

Shen stirred slightly. His dream like smile turned into a frown. His body missed the warmth of Kate's, however he wasn't ready to get up just yet. Groaning, Shen turned on his side so that his back was facing where Kate stood. He muttered something about pancakes, but that about it.

Unfortunately for Shen, his dream was going to end. While they slept, Kathrine's complete ease had given her body the signal that it could once again handle all the stress of her life. As the sun peeked through the curtains Kathrine groaned. Her violet hues shunning the light. She went to roll onto her side but felt someones arms around her. Her body tensed and she quickly pulled away, turning to see who had been holding her. Her hues widened and then narrowed as she stood with her back up against the wall, glaring at Shen. What the hell was he doing in her room! Her mind quickly took her back to the last place she remembered being.....on the ship in China...she....had was being raped....then....nothing...just black....what the hell was she doing back in her room, and why the fuck was Shen there!

"Good night Katherine." Shen smiled brightly. He shared her happiness. Honestly, for a moment he doubted if he'd ever feel such a thing again. Avenging Yui had left him feeling more empty than what had expected. Sure at first, he felt fulfilled knowing that had slayed Yui's murder. However that feeling turned out to be a mere illusion. Sighing softly, Shen ran his finger tips through Kate's hair. He had put her through so much. He had even nearly killed her for trying to interfere with him taking revenge. He needed to make things right. He needed to make the most of the second chance he had been given. Starting tomorrow, he would do everything in his power to be the perfect lover for her.

Kathrine had nearly fallen asleep when she heard Shen's movement in the dark. She turned onto her side as he climbed into the bed, and moved herself closer to him, nuzzling against him. This was the happiest she had been since she woke up on that boat...the first time she really didnt have a care in the world. "Good night Shen" She said with a soft smile, her arm wrapped around him as her body pressed into his

"Well I cant take all the credit on that. You were very opening to my teaching methods." Shen grinned. He watched her leave, but then returned to his work. He decided to go ahead and apply to different hospitals in the area even though he hadn't figured out where he'd be living. Once Shen was done, he let out a long sigh and got up from the couch. He carried his laptop into Kate's room and placed it on her night stand. He then walked out into the bathroom to brush his teeth before changing into some long shorts. He took his shirt off and climbed into bed right next to Kate.

Kathrine smiled, "What can I say, you took more out of me than I thought this morning" She said with a smile. She walked to her room and changed into some pj's She stretched, walking into her bathroom and brushed her teeth before she climbed onto her bed and under the covers. She curled up under the blankets and smiled as she closed her eyes

Shen hadn't expected the day to turn into a movie day. They were having so much fun that he didn't notice how fast the day flew by. He looked over at Kate seeing her yawn and smiled. "Someone cant stay up with the big boys and girls." he laughed. He leaned up returning her kiss with a warm smile. "I'll be in a moment. I'm going to check my applications." Shen stated. He reached over for his laptop and pulled it back into his lap. "Mm nothing so far huh? Damnit..."

Kathrine smiled happily, and leaned against Shen when he joined in the musical. After that movie was over she put another in, and made the day a movie day. She even made popcorn. Somewhere during the 3rd film she started to get tired, yawning and rubbing her eyes. "I think...I'm gonna go to bed' She said as she leaned against him and lightly pressed her lips to his in a good night kiss.

Shen followed her and grabbed his laptop. He started working, but soon found himself glancing back and forth between the tv and Kate. He couldn't recall ever hearing her sing before. He stared at her, somewhat dumbfounded. She was so happy, so cheerful. When he and the past Kate had watched movies, even comedies, she had rarely showed any emotion. However, here she was singing and having a good time. Shen decided to put down his work. He joined Kate in her singing. This was nice...this feeling between the two of them. He prayed that it would last.

"Sure" She said with a smiled. "I can put a movie in to watch while you do that" She said happily and pulled him back over toward the living room. She looked through all the movies and pulled out a movie called Pitch Perfect and put it in. Despite not having her memories she knew the words to all the songs sung in the movie, and...she was actually really good and singing!

Shen blinked twice and looked back at Kate. "It is a nice day." he smiled, tho only slightly. "Unfortunately I really do need to get back to my laptop. We can still hang out tho if you want." he smiled down at Kate. "I may be a little distracted...but I'll be right on the couch."

Joshua had walked in on that last note. "Oh I wouldnt worry about that, Jazz knew she had that coming one way or another, give her till tomorrow and everything will be all good" He said as he passed them to go to his room. "Its a nice day outside, go do something" He said with a smile

"Good." Shen smiled and pulled back a bit. He leaned down placing a soft kiss on her lips. He could see that Kate found his plan for her birthday very appealing. He loved teasing her. The only difference between the current Kate and the past Katherine was that she would have teased him back. Shen didn't mine though. The current Kate had more of an innocent nature. It was cute. "Now, I think you should go talk to Jazz. I know she's...well...crude, but she really cares about you. I'm a big boy. I can handle her attitude. What I dont want is for you two to start hating each other."

Kathrine sighed and looked up at him as he mentioned her birthday coming up. As he wrapped his arms around her she blushed as he taunted her with his deep voice. She felt her body responding already as she shivered. "D-deal" She purred softly as she leaned her body back against him. Damn why did her room mate have to come home that morning!

"You mean 19 right? Or at least, you'll be 19 soon." Shen smiled. All the talk about his mother was giving him a headache so he decided to change the topic. "My mother will only be here for the weekend. I'm thinking for your birthday we can spend that weekend together, just the two of us." Shen smirked. He pushed his body off from the door and wrapped his arms tightly around her frame. "You know..I think there's at least a few spots on your body I've yet to mark...I need to find them." Shen grinned. He leaned in nipping the very corner of her ear. His voice was deep and laced with pure seduction, a talent which he never knew he had. "Soooo, until then, lets survive my mother by focusing on the days to come. Deal?"

"I...I dont know...honestly I dont really want to think about it." Shen answered. "When..I was engaged I remember her being very excited. She and Yui had...frequent private discussions. I always wondered what they were talking about and if my mother was being a pain, but Yui never complained. She said she enjoyed their talks...or so she claimed." Shen sighed. He leaned back against the door and brushed some of his hair out from his face. It was starting to grow back little by little. "Tho...I suppose...if you wanted...I mean...if we wanted kids we could have them...maybe someday. We would need to remove that device inside of you first that keeps you from getting pregnant."
