"Hm, it's feeling a little stiff, but not as sore as the other day" She said and worked on flipping the meat to its other side to cook before she crawled over towards him and nuzzled her nose against his cheek before softly pressing her lips to his in a good morning kiss.

Squall continued to snooze. His smile though faded after Lily wiggled out of his hold. He tossed a little, trying to feel for her presence. It wasn't until the scent of cooked meat flowed through the air that he sat up and rubbed his eyes. His perfect brown hair was a mess, again. "Mm...morning." he whispered, rubbing his eyes some more till he was able to see. "How is your shoulder doing? Should I change the bandages again?"

Lily slept soundly, a soft smile of her own graced her lips. As morning came and the sun rose she slowly opened her eyes. She sat up some and looked around, scanning the area before looking down at Squall and smile softly, leaning down and lightly nuzzled him just under his chin. She slid out of his hold and stretched her body, running her hand over her belly. She was starving. She started up the fire and started cooking the meat from last night for breakfast

"And you're the one who asked if there was someone out there." Squall laughed. He leaned forward placing a soft kiss on her lips. His body was exhausting so he couldn't wait to fall asleep. By the time morning came, Squall was still out cold. His face was buried in Lily's shoulder and his arms were loosely wrapped around her body. There was a wide smile on his lips too. Not even the sounds of explosions could have woken him from the first peaceful sleep he had experienced with his mate in a week.

Lily tilted her head. "Your the one who got all tense" She said confused as she eased back to the ground and cuddled up against him. She nodded lightly and nuzzled her nose into his neck. "Goodnight, my love" She said softly, her tail still between her legs, but her body much more relaxed due to his distraction

Squall let out a sigh of relief. He gazed back down at Lily and kissed her lips. "I think you're just a bit jumpy. And you being jumpy made me jumpy." he smiled and laid back down. His body got back into its relaxed state as he snuggled up against her. "Everything is going to be fine Lily. All you and I have to do is live. We can just enjoy our lives without having to worry about the war or anyone else."

"I dont...here anyone" She said as she sat up. She stayed next to him before he asked her to. She could see fine in the dark too, but she couldnt pick up a scent.... "What's wrong?" She asked and looked around confused. "No ones out there..." she commented, as she focused her senses to their surroundings. She couldnt pick up on anything but a few squrrals int he trees
