Fire & Ice II: Age of Rebirth(private/mature/continued)

Soara graned as she woke up. "Shit!l she jumpedup running to the camp. "Yeah i know sory." She muttered at Ama's commnt. Sh looked down at the plan and nodded. "Sounds goo to me." She agreedm she went bck to her squad informing them of the plan and warning them about the salts. Once everyone was in position Soara gave the signal. Her and her squad took out several men as they took the ront assalt.

"Soara wake up." One of her men called and lightly shook her shoulder. It was morning. Once Ama had gotten everything under control she was able to set everything up. Currently she had a knee on the ground and was going over to plan with Titus. "You're late." Ama frowned and signaled her to come closer. Titus didn't even look up. "The humans have started moving. They're slow and barely awake. Most of the demon slayers stayed up all night protecting the army. They're slow, easy targets." she stated and grabbed a stick. She drew three triangles representing their three squads. "As the enter the valley Soara's squad will take their position within the trees. You'll attack the head of the army, but not until I give the signal. Titus, your squad will provide the distraction. You'll attack from all directions causing as much confusion as you can. My squad will then rush in and attack the demon slayers surrounding the feudal lord. Our goal is to split the enemy up. Demon slayers take priority. Both of you need to be careful. They'll probably have smelling salts that can disable your entire body."

Soara wanted to just scream but knew better especially after that commotion. She wiped the blood from her forehead before healing her arm down to a minor sprain. Titus had a way of getting to her. Maybe it was because he was her brother or maybe because he seemed to know exactly the guilt she felt. Either way she was sick of it. Sitting she leaned against a tree before falling into a light slumber.

"I dont give a shit!" Ama spat. "We're on a mission! This isn't the time or the place!" she yelled to Soara's back. Titus wiped the blood from his nose away. He was about to spit something at Soara, but the deadly gaze in Ama's eyes told him he'd better not. "Now..I want this mess cleaned up." Ama ordered before turning to her own squad. "We'll be lucky if all that commotion wasn't heard. I want two of you to find the scouts from Titus' team and check on the enemy's position." she ordered. A few hours later, the same men Ama had sent returned. "There's been no movement change. All the humans are fast asleep except for the demon hunters." they informed Ama. Nodding, ama leaned up against the trunk of a large tree running her hands through her long white hair. She wasn't sure how much longer she could put up with her cousin's bull.

Soara let out a cry of pain as she felt her arm snap. "You fucking asshole!" She hissed. "Dont say that! I never say that to you. You're a spineless coward!" Sheyelled. Feeling blood trickling down her forehead from the force of his head. She froze when the ice spiks aimed at herneck. She turnedto look at Ama. As she yelled and slapped them she flinched. "Maybe if he didnt keep saying he wanted me to die. Or i dont know theatening my life!" She growled. "Good i dont want him to talk to me." She stormed of into the woods. She punched a tree angrily before tears poured down her face.

Titus shot up from the ground! He rushed Soara, his blazing claws ripping through her right arm enough to break it. "Finally!" One of his men called. It only took a second for a mass fight to start between the two groups. Titus grabbed only Soara and literally rammed his forehead into her own. "You can just go fucking die!" he spat. Suddenly, sharp spears of ice came rising up from the ground! Titus found that the spears were aimed at his neck just as some were aimed at Soara's. "The hell is going on here?" Ama frowned as her squad followed her. She looked around. The camp was a mess and everyone was making way too much noise. "You two call yourself's leaders? This is why I was put in charge!" she hissed and smacked the shit out of Titus' cheek. She wasn't done though, she turned to Soara smacking her hard enough to leave a very noticeable hand print as well. "I told you two before...what ever beef you two have with each other you'd better grill it up and eat it. It's my ass on the line here if we dont complete this mission! It's MY reputation at stake and I refuse for it be dragged into the mud because my two idiot cousins cant keep their fucking mouths shut! For crying out loud...you two cant even control your own men! I'm sick of this bullshit!" Ama spat and with a wave of her hand the ice pointing towards their necks vanished. "From this point on, you two are not going to say a single word. I swear by our family name...if either one of you says just one thing..JUST ONE THING to each other I'll beat the living daylights out of both of you and then have you two arrested for dereliction of duty!"

Soara looked at her brother giving him a warning glare. As he decided to retell the story she stood. "You better shut up!" she snapped. "Oh please you never liked me. Girls don't like you because you have no feelings you've always been a heartless little bitch." she growled. "Rumored is the key word by the way he wasn't. And he didn't betray anyone on purpose."I'm not useless! I follow orders and do what's right. I ranked higher than you at the academy remember? And even though you consider it betrayal Dad still likes me better!" she yelled. Her squad stood taking a stand behind her. "You better back off douchebag." they growled. When Titus leaned in Soara's eyes widened. "Then you're just as much a traitor!" she yelled punching him in the face hard enough to break his nose. "I'm sick of you and you're bull shit! Grow up!" Her squad began to clap as they all believed Titus deserved it.

Ohhhhhhh shit! She told you!" Some of Titus' men cheered. Titus shot Soara a deadly glare. His glare suddenly turned into a wide grin. "Yeah you've had a boyfriend..but lets revisit that shall we? Now, first you fell for a guy who didn't even know you existed, big surprise. Next, you started dating the same guy who was rumored to have cheated on you, again..big surprise with what you being you right?" Titus smirked. A few of his men raised their eye brows. Thing were gonna get good pretty soon. "Then, that same boyfriend lied and used you like some sort of cheap tool causing you to betray the only people who actually liked you. After that, your 'boyfriend' was captured for being a traitor and then squashed like the common fly he was. But, you wanna know whats really funny?" Titus smiled as he moved to stand right infront of Soara. "Even though betrayed your family. Even though you claimed to love this boy..you still couldn't save him. You couldn't save the one person who was willing to deal with your shit. Now, what does that say about you hmm? What does that say about how much of a piece of useless shit you are? You know..." Titus paused and got closer so his lips were near her ear. "Allot can go wrong in a battle. I wonder if mom and dad would shed a tear if a...hmm...say 'accident' occurred...and you never came home."

Soara sat against a tree as the night soon closed around them. As her brother and his group started to have a obnoxiously loud conversation about some stupid girl. The men and woman in her group were thoroughly annoyed. When one of them threw a rock she chuckled as it hit her brothers head. However they didn't find it funny. At Titus's insult however she scoffed. "At least I've had a boyfriend."

Day soon turned to night and some of Titus' men were getting a bit restless. It didn't help that they were all more or less sitting in the dark around their camp site. "Hey Titus whatever happened with you and that cute waitress at the tea shop down town?" One of them asked. "Yeah right like Titus could pull that." another one of them joked. Titus frowned and pressed his thumb into his chest. "I actually got her address, ha!" he grinned. "Didn't you tell me that the address she gave you was fake?" the only female member of Titus' team blinked causing Titus himself to hang his head in defeat. All the men got a good laugh out his misery. "To bad. While she was giving you a fake I was busy walking into the real thing." One of his men smirked. "Wanna smell my fingers?" he laughed. Titus shot up, his fangs bared. "You fucking bastard!" he snapped. Suddenly, one of the females on Soara's team threw a rock right at the back of Titus' head. "Will you shut up? You guys are loud and obnoxious..." she growled. At that, all of the members on Titus' team that were present stood up. "Whats this? Are the losers trying to pick a fight?" one of his men grinned and cracked his knuckles. "Dont bother." Titus sighed and folded his hands behind his head. "They're led by the crowned reject(Soara). Fighting them would be a waste of time.."

Soara waited impatiently for her broether to return with some kidn of report of what he had seen. Eventually he finally did. His news was good as they now knew they weren't far from the battle that would eventually take place. She watched intently as her brother drew a picture of what he had encountered. Ama's stradegy to strike in the morning made sense but of course Titus didn't like it. Soara started to survey the landscape but was brought bakp camp. "No fires." she emphasized.

The squads were miles away from the capital. By the time noon hit they weren't too far off from the eastern boarder where most of the humans lived. Ama had sent Titus and few of his his men to scout ahead. When he came back there was a big grin on his lips. "There's allot of them. They're marching south in rows of three. Most of them are wearing bronze armor. The demon slayers dad mentioned are split into three teams." Titus stated and bent draw to draw a picture in the dirt. "In the front of the army there are four all on horse back. In the middle where the feudal lord is, there are about five. Two of them are on horses and the others are on foot. Then, theres three more covering the rear of the army, both of them are on foot." Titus stated. Ama examined the picture. She rose to her feet, her nose tilting up towards the sky. "If they're heading south...very shortly they'll pass through Gut's Valley. An army that size will rest for the night before making their way through. We'll wait till first thing in the morning to attack." she ordered. "Why?" Titus frowned, his eye twitching. "They dont suspect a thing...why would we wait?" he asked. Looking at her cousin, Ama let out a small sigh. "Because humans are more relaxed when they're just waking up. Also, demon slayers aren't your average humans. You should know that." Ama stated flatly. Titus simply let out a groan. "Soara." Ama called her, attention now directed else where. "Have your men put together a camp site. Make sure no builds any fires. I dont want our position to be given away. Titus, send a few of your guys to keep track of the army's movements. DO NOT confront the enemy..."

Soara looked up as her brother approachedthe two squads. His own squad was...interesting to sa the least. When hesaid they were the best she rolled her eys as did her team. Everyone on her squad didnt really like Titus because of his treatment towards Soara. However unlike the other two they hadnt picked a team name though they would have to later. She nodded at Ama's orders and her andher team started off.

"Thank you. We've run missions before." Ama smiled as she leaned against the wall to the gate. Soon, Titus joined them with his own rag-tag team of fighters. Unlike the one's Ama had chosen, his fighter were a group of misfits. His team was named N9ne, though the reason behind the name was only known to the members. It seemed to be some sort of insiders joke. "I'm here!" Titus announced. Ama looked over, her hues narrowing slightly. "You would bring them..." she sighed. "Hey these guys are the best at what they do." he grinned. "Well whatever. For now lets move out. We'll stop to go over the plan once we've confirmed the enemy's position."

Soara started towards the gates with her warrios as well. She had picked a mix o dfferent warriors. Some who were fast, some who were strong, and others clever. She elt all teams needed a balance betwee te dfferent strengths. She looked at Ama and smiled. "Nice job." She complimented.

"Ewwww..." Kira giggled and covered her eyes as her parents kiss. Nagi pulled back from Daichi's lips reluctantly. She walked out of the room carrying Kira with her. She'd have to have a serious talk about their entire living arrangement later. She knew that it wasn't his fault, though she was confused about how Elder Dai had managed to plant the cure on him in the first place. She guessed it didn't really matter though. All she knew was that she missed Daichi and Kira needed to see her father more then just once every few weeks.

Meanwhile, Ama was waiting at the North gate with her squad of warriors. They were all graduates from the academy. They were the fastest, smartest, strongest, and the best overall fighters. Killing humans wasn't exactly...honorable, but Ama refused to go into any battle with her Delta team. "Major do we really need your cousins?" One of her men asked. "I'm not in the mood to deal with their petty bickering..." another grumbled. "It was an order from my uncle. Though I'll admit...if it had been up to me I'd leave without them too..." Ama sighed as her ears lowered.

Daichi looked down at his daughter as she gripped his leg. He knelt down nextto her. At her question he chuckld "of course." He assured her. Pointing to the fridge where it hung. Seeing his daughter so reluctant to go made him want to cry. Why had he been so stupid? He returned Nagi's kiss as she left. When she returned he was surprised "mhmm..." he groaned into the kiss. As she finally left he sighed. Maybe it was time he exlained how he gt the curse. He hadnt wanted to tel anyone at first but...now maybe he should.

"Come now Kira, hug your father." Nagi whispered softly. Kira stepped forward, her small arms locking around one of his legs. "I miss you daddy..." she whimpered softly and looked up at him. "Do you still have the picture I drew you?" she asked. During their last visit she had given him a picture of their family she had drew in crayons. For Daichi, she used the color blue, her favorite color. Ama was colored in silver and Nagi was colored in red. "Alright lets go." Nagi smiled and picked Kira up. The small girl refused to let go though so Nagi had to put a little effort in pulling her off. "I'll be back later today to talk to you." Nagi promised and leaned in planting a kiss on Daichi's lips. She was about to walk away...but couldn't. Her entire body was shaking. She tried to stay strong...she tried so hard for the sake of Kira, but Nagi couldn't deny the fact that she missed Daichi terribly. She turned around, her golden hues also threatening to spill tears. She walked back up to Daichi planting another kiss on his lips, this one longer and more passionate.

Daichi enjoyed the time he spent with his daughter but wished it didnt hve to be limited. he enjoyed chasing her around the room and wrestling with hr. When Nagi called that it was over he sighed. Looking dow at Kira he felt like he too was going to cry. "I love you." He said hugging her tightly. "Dont cry i will see you again soon." He promised kisng her foreead lightly.

After Daichi finished eating, Nagi cleaned up the plate. She allowed Kira to romp around with her dad for about thirty minutes before she finally called it quits for the day. "Alright sweetheart, say goodbye to your daddy." Nagi smiled. Kira looked up at Daichi, her golden hues threatening to spill more tears. One thing Nagi noticed was that Kira definitely cried allot more then Ama did. The two daughters were as similar as night and day.

Daichi's face fell when his duaghter said she wanted to spend the night with him. "Umm....I don't know.." he muttered. "I can read you a story though." he suggested. However Nagi intercepted this a lot better than he did. "That sounds good. We will dicuss it." he promised. He gave ANgi a relived smile.

Kira held out her arms. She smiled warmly against Daichi's embrace and licked his nose. Her small brown tail was wagging happily from side to side. "Daddy I wanna spend the night with you. I can bring one of my favorite bed time stories." she smiled. Nagi's eyes widened. She instantly stood to her feet approaching the two of them. "Oh honey...I dont think thats possible..." Nagi whispered. Kira turned out giving Nagi her classic pout. She never threw tantrums like Ama had, but she wasn't afraid to show when she wasn't pleased. "I wanna spend the night with daddy.." she whined. This wasn't the first time Kira had made such a request. Nagi couldn't blame her either. "Ok sweetie tell you what. Today you have a play date with Anita-san. She's going to teach you about all the flowers in the garden. During that time, I'll come back and discuss this with your daddy." Nagi smiled. "You promise?" Kira asked as tears formed in the corners of her golden eyes. "I promise." Nagi smiled and offered Kira a pinkie promise. It was there own little ritual that the two girls had developed.

Daichi shrugged "i'm not really sure. I just tink it depends on the person you know?l he stated. He looked at Kira as she suggested eating a late bloomer. "Though it sunds tasty you cant eat it. He assured her. At the mention ofdisabling him he laughed. "What?! No thank you. He chuckled lightly picking her up. He rubbed his nose against her own.

"Well that would be fine with me...but she isn't displaying any talent for using any of the elements. I mean...were there any children in your family who..bloomed late?" Nagi asked. Kira looked up at her mother, her large golden eyes shimmering. "Whats a late bloomer? Is it tasty?" Kira asked as she nibbled on one of her fingers. "No Ms. Piggy. Its not something you eat." Nagi smiled and nuzzled her nose into Kira's neck. The little girl giggled and looked up licking Nagi's cheek. Nagi looked up at Daichi, her arms wrapping tightly around Kira. "I'm just concerned. I'm worried about both of our daughters. One cant use any elements and the other...refuses to take a mate. Though...I suppose I cant really argue with her decision. I was older then her when I married you and...kind of disabled the male nii-sama attempted to hook me up with." Nagi stated giving Dachi a shy smile. "I wanna disable daddy!!" Kira laughed and pointed at him. "Maybe some other time." Nagi smiled looking up at her husband. She loved having this family time. She only wished that she could find a cure for Daichi so that she could have him around 24/7.
