You Can't Save Me ((Yugo,Mature))

Shen had hit her pretty hard when they had crashed. He let out a sigh of relief knowing that she was still in the apartment and hadn't left though. He bent down giving her a hand up while nodding. "I have something better. Take a seat on the bed." he instructed and left the room for a quick second. When he came back, he was holding a tall glass of water and a single pill. "One is all you'll need. It should start kicking in within five to ten minutes." he stated and handed her the pill and water. It seemed like she was back to normal...though...it made Shen wonder if she remembered him kissing her. "I guess it doesn't matter since she thought she was dreaming anyway..." he thought to himself and let out another sigh.

Kathrine hadnt found anything... She growled as he headache became worse and headed out the bathroom to go ask Shen for something when she crashed into him and fell back. "Owowow..." She winced, holding her head. She looked up at him with a slight glare. "Ugh...do you...have any asprin?" She asked, trying to hold back on yelling at him for crashing into her. "Damnitt...this hurts." She growled. She sounded like she was back to her normal self, only less tense

Shen had the door to the lab closed so he didn't hear Kate get up. He was fascinated by the structure of the drug. It seemed to be harmless, but could induce strong addiction depending on the dosage. "So..the chief police's son get them...and distributes them?" Shen mumbled to himself as he leaned back in his seat and rubbed his temples. "Well I guess I can add that to my list of changes to make..." he sighed deeply and closed his laptop. He walked out of his lab to check on Kate and was shocked to find his bed empty. "Kate?" Shen called. Had she ran? Shen quickly raced down stairs and looked around. Nothing. "Fuck..." He spat and rushed into her room to if maybe she had gotten up to put her clothes away

A couple hours passed and Kathrine finally began to wake up. She winced grabbing her head and blinked when she felt the wrap. She looked around. "Where....oh" She said remembering being hit with a wine bottle at her uncles... She vaguely remembered the rest. She got out of the bed and walked down stairs. "Ugh....my head" She whimpered lightly. She walked into the 'her' bathroom, looking for some advil or some kind of headache medicine. "Damn bastard...hit me hard" She winced again when she barely touched the wrapping

Shen watched her carefully and once she slipped into a deeper state of sleep he took her pulse again. Physically she seemed fine, simply tired. Dealing with her uncle must have placed a great deal of stress on her. "I cant afford to screw things up.." he mumbled to himself and rose from the bed once he saw sure that she was out. He walked into his lab, washed his hands, and slid on his long white lab coat. "I wonder...if I manage to save this girl...will I finally earn forgiveness?" Shen thought to himself as he pulled the vile Kate had given him from his pocket. Suddenly, a sad smile formed on his lips as he slowly shook his head. "What am I saying? How foolish could I possibly be? To gain forgive so quickly..would be impossible.."

Kathrine's hues grew bright as he laid down beside her. She nodded and smiled brightly to his terms as she curled up under the blanket and nuzzled her head against the pillow. She was facing Shen but made no movements to cuddle up against him. Only her hand that had stopped him, lightly clung to the hem of his shirt, making her look more like an innocent child. She slowly found sleep as her body relaxed knowing he was right there, watching over her. Her breathing slowed as she moved into a deeper state of sleep

Shen looked back again and tilted his head to the side. What she was saying...it wasn't making any sense at all. They had only slept together once, but she seemed to be growing dependent on his presence. Shen didn't mind. In fact...he rather enjoyed it. He just didn't understand why it was happening. He needed to put up a few walls between them to make sure that their relationship remained appropriate...although technically they had already crossed that line. "Alright." he answered finally and moved onto the bed. He grabbed a pillow and cuddled up right beside her. "But only till you fall asleep.."

Her violet hues softened as he sat back down and she eased her body back to the bed. Closing her eyes as he stroked her cheek. But when he got up again her eyes opened and she grabbed his hand again. "Shen..." She looked down..."I...um....I'm more relaxed.... when your next to me....so...please....stay....till I fall asleep?" She asked still looking down

Shen blinked twice and turned around. He smiled down at her and sat down by her side. "You're safe here Kate. No one gets inside this apartment unless they work here or have my say so. You can sleep. I'll be keeping an eye on you." he stated and lightly stroked her cheek. "So get some rest, but not too much. I'd hate for you to miss the dinner I'm planning on cooking." Shen chuckled and rose up from the bed again.

Kathrine blinked as she felt herself being picked up. She looked up at him before nuzzling her head against his chest. When he laid her in the bed she curled into the soft sheets and curled the blankets around her. When she felt his weight on the bed shift she reached out and grabbed his hand. "Please...stay?" She asked looking up at him with soft hues

Shen remained dead silent. It seemed that Kate was under the impression she had been dreaming..and Shen couldn't bring himself to admit that the kiss had been real. "Sorry...its not you though...its just our situation. You're my student." he replied softly, though paused when he noticed she was starting to doze off. "Hmm..well as long as I keep an eye on you and check your pulse regularly...I suppose you can nap." he sighed and shifted slightly so he could scoop her into his arms. Since 'her' bed sheets were still being dried he carried her up to his room and laid her down between two of his pillows. His bed was covered in the scent of cologne he wore. Shen pulled the blankets over and leaned in to check her pulse. "Seems normal..and breathing seems fine. I'll check on you again in a few minutes." he whispered softly and turned his attention towards a special door that stood off to the right. Shen actually had his own personally laboratory. He planned to study the vile that Kate had given him containing the drugs that the kids were using at school

Kathrine's hues slowly opened feeling his lips on hers. She closed her eyes, returning the kiss lightly, nibbling the bottom of his lip before parting from the kiss and looked at him for a moment before smiling and hugged his arm. "Hm...best dream I've had....in a long time" She said softly and looked up towards him again, her hues still showing how tired she was. "Kiss me...again?" She asked. Seeing him pause she smiled again. "Heh, sorry... I guess it's pushing it...even in a dream" She said and nuzzled her head against his arm. She thought she was asleep. And having a nice dream. After all The real Shen would have no real interest in her any way... she was too young.. and a student... she couldnt see him being able to ignore his moral codes... right?

Shen was running out of ideas. He needed to keep her up for at least an hour before he allowed her to sleep. He considered giving her something, but he had already given her a shot for her pain. Also, Kate was still young. It wasn't good to pump her body full of harsh medications. What else could he do? "K-Kate.." Shen mumbled and repeated himself, only louder. He reached over tilting her head up towards his face. "Stay awake..for just a little a while." he told her before he leaned down and pressed his warm lips firmly against her own. It wasn't his first choice and he didn't want her to think he was hitting on her...but Shen was at the end up his rope. He could only hope that the kiss would jolt her enough to keep her up for a little while.

Kathrine had almost fell asleep when he started to tap her cheeks. "Hm?" She murmured slowly opening her hues as he sat her up. "I dont...wanna" She said softly, resting her head against his bicep as she hugged his arm to her. Her breasts pressing against his arm as she hugged him. "Too....sleepy..." She said. She wasnt going to stay awake very easily... She had already started to doze off again

Shen wasn't sure if he should allow her to sleep or not. She knew her name, but had messed up the day. Also, she wasn't able to really follow his flashlight. As she nuzzled against his chest Shen laid her back down and lightly tapped her cheeks. "Kate I need you to stay awake. Just stay awake for one hour ok?" he asked and sat her up on the couch. He was sitting next to her now checking the wrapping around her head. "I know you want to sleep, but right now I need to make sure your head is ok. If you can stay awake for an hour you can sleep as long as you want after."

Every time he moved the light she kept trying to turn her head to follow. "Um...Kate....Burrow and...sunday...I think....it" she said. It was saturday... "I'm still tired" She said and started to rub her eyes. She leaned foward and nuzzled her head against his chest. "I just...wanna sleep" She said. His scent relaxing her as she started to doze off once again

"No." Shen frowned and moved to force her back towards the couch. He pressed his palms against her shoulders making her lay down. "Lay there while I put your things in your room. Doctors orders." he smiled down at her. When he came back, he had another medkit in his hand. He seemed to have several scattered throughout the apartment. "Now." he mumbled and pulled out a small flashlight. "I need to check for a concussion. I want you to follow the light only with your eyes." he instructed and slowly began to shift the bright light from side to side. He hand one hand gently placed on her head. "Hmm...can you tell me your full name and what day it is?"

When Shen returned to the house Kathrine was sitting up, her hand pressing against her bandaged forehead. She looked at him and saw her bags and got up. "Ah, sorry, I can get them" She said, stumbling and had to steady herself using the couch. She looked down trying to stopp her head from spinning. "Hn...hit me harder... than I thought...: She muttered

Shen remained silent. She didn't blame him, but he still felt responsible. He should have been able to protect her better. As she slept, he gave her head a full examination. From what he could tell there were no signs of a concussion, though he couldn't be sure until she actually woke up and described the level of her pain. He gave her another shot which would keep her pain at a minimum for at least a few hours. Shen rose to his feet. His hands, shirt, and pants were covered in blood. "Just rest for now." he whispered before making his way up stairs to shower and jump into a change of fresh clothes. After he was done, he made a trip down to the car to get her bags.

Kathrine dazed in and out as he spoke, half passing out and hald awake. When they got back to his place, she had forced herself to stay awake...a concussion was possible...that bottle had been thick. While he apologized her hues slightly softened. "Hm... I had a feeling something like this would happen..." she said, her voice was tired. She smiled lightly and ran her fingers through his hair before drifting off to sleep

"Shhh." Shen whispered softly as he finished with the last few of her stitches. It was only temporary though. He'd need to examine her when they got home. "Lay still." he ordered and got back into the driver's seat. When they got home, Shen parked his car and carried Kate into the elevator. They could go back for her bags another time. Shen placed her gently on his couch. His hand through her hair. It was trembling slightly. "I'm sorry Kate. I told you everything would be fine and you still got hurt." Shen muttered and took hold of her injured hand. He kissed it softly before wrapping it as well along with her head so the stitches wouldn't come out.

Shen's face barley came into view when he leaned over her. Her head spun whe he helped her up, Burrows walked them to the door and saw them off. Kathrine was incoherent while Shen moved her to the back of his car and started to treat her. "Fucking....prick....stupid..." She was muttering, cursing her uncle. The bottle had clonked her good, even her forhead was swelling as he stitched. "....Sorry....you had...saw that....the house...messed" She murmured, her words slurring a little

"Ah...yes...I suppose you could say that its all been taken care of." Shen smiled, though declined the beer. When he heard Kate fall his body turned slightly. He was quick to beat Burrows into the kitchen. "Dont worry Mr. Burrows. I will handle this." he insisted and promptly moved over to Kate. She was bleeding pretty badly. Shen needed to patch her up and if needed, give her a blood transfusion if she had lost too much. "I will send you word in three weeks time." he stated as he helped Kate to her feet. He was quick to get her out of the house and into his car. Once inside he shifted into reverse and sped out onto the street. He put a little distance between them and the house before he pulled over and pressed the cloth he given her against her head. "Hold on Kate." he whispered and got out of the car. He moved Kate into the back and laid her down. He didn't care if her blood got all his the interior. Such things could be replaced. "I'm going to give you something to numb the pain." he whispered and pulled out his medkit. Inside he had some disposable needles. He injected some antithetic into her blood stream and began to quickly stitch up the gash across her forehead.

Kathrine winced, pulling away from the cloth as a reaction, her cold glare met his eyes. It wasnt his fault... the second she had walked in she put her guard up, that meant towards him as well. She leaned against the wall, steadying herself before she slowly walked up stairs holding her head, holding the cloth to it. Burrows sat on his chair which was the only thing in the house not covers in garbage. "School? Who Kathrine? You must be confused with another kid, cuz that one is as dumb as a bag of bricks" He stated while opening a beer, offering Shen one. "Ohhh I get it, you have this thing rigged dont ya" He said with a grin. "Aight, I can play along" He said taking the pen and signed the paper without bothering to read it. "If she gets out of line, dont be shy to disipline her" Burrows said. Kathrine had ran two suitcases to the car and had gone back up, grabbing anything else she thought she would need. She swung the back pack onto her back and started down the stairs when he vision blurred, she stumbled and fell down, a loud thud echoing the house. The side of her face was covered in blood again from the gash, her violet hues were hazed, trying to focus and not pass out... Burrows got up. "Stupid bitch, cant even walk" He growled and gulped down his beer

Things had gotten to a rough start. Shen had been smart to consider money in his calculations on how to deal with her uncle. He walked over towards Kate and pulled out a cloth from his pocket. He cleaned the blood from her forehead and instructed her to run upstairs. "Pack everything you need and go wait in the car." he ordered. Shen held a certain cold glare of his own within his eyes. There was no room for debate this time. After getting up, he walked into the living room though wasn't sure where to sit. Everything...was covered in food or week old beer cans. "As I was saying..." shen muttered as he stepped over a plate that had bugs crawling over it. "I'm not if you realize, but your niece is very intelligent. I wish to enter her into a academic program which trains future Doctors. These types of young people are in high demand all over the world. The program will last for three weeks. During that time I will be training Katherine to ensure her success. At the end of the program the students will display their skills in the form of a...final project if you will. If Katherine wins, which she most certainly will, she will be awarded ten thousand dollars in cash. Naturally, since you are her guardian, the money will be given to you for 'safe' keeping." Shen stated and pulled out a contract. It was fake, but Shen had put in the hours to make it look 100% legit. "All I need is your signature stating that she has your approval."
