You Can't Save Me ((Yugo,Mature))

Kathrine blinked when Revy got mad at her. "N-no not at all" she said as she put her hands up in defense. When the food came Kate was eating quietly while everyone else laughed. She wasnt really getting the jokes. She didnt have that connection to others right now. When Benny mentioned how she was a doctor she shook her head. "I'm not....or...I dont think...was I?" She asked and looked at Shen. She was starting to look to him for her answers. Like a lost puppy looking to him to guide her. "Not....a fully trained one right?....you said I was in school" she asked

"Wha????" Revy growled and turned her gun on Kate. "You mocking you ya piece of shit?" She hissed and spat her cigarette onto the ground. Both Benny and shen quick rose up trying to calm Revy down. It took them a while, tho once she was back in her seat they were able to relax. When their food came, the atmosphere had become lighter. Benny was telling a few dirty jokes he heard from his favorite bar. Shen couldn't help but to laugh. Even Dutch, who rarely laughed at all, was holding his sides. "Enough Benny. I cant eat and laugh at the same time." Shen smiled. Benny leaned back in his seat giving both Shen and Kate wide grins. "You two are doctors right? Shouldn't you be able to multitask?" he asked with a hard laugh. Shen shook his head, but still smiled.

Kathrine looked at Benny as he started talking. When the waiter came by she waited her turn and blinked with wide eyes as Revy shot at the man. "Oh, nothing....your a bad ass....I kinda like it" She said with a smile towards Revy. She was actually being sencere. She looked to the waiter and just asked for some soup. she wasnt in the mood for anything fancy really.

Benny pouted. It looked like Kate was avoiding him, tho he was sure it had something to do with the whole bra thing. "Yes and no." Shen answered. At the point, Benny took over. "About...four years back Shen left the army. He had served for two years. On his last tour he, Revy, and I met. We were in the process of doing a job and just so happened to run into Shen's platoon." he stated. As they talked, a waiter actually came over to take their orders. When he saw that Revy had her feet on the table he bowed his head and politely tried to convince her to remove them. Revy's twisted golden hues shot up at the boy. She whipped out one of her pistols and fired off a round just nearly missing his head. The boy backed off and moved over towards Dutch where it was safer. "What you lookin at barbie?" Revy hissed, her eyes meeting Kate's. She didn't care if Kate had lost her memory. She had plenty of hostility in her towards Kate and it needed to be released.

Kate followed Shen down to the kitchen. She wasnt all the thrilled to see the group from earlier there. When they walked up to the table despite Benny's offer to sit by him she shook her head and sat near Shen. So far he was the only one she was sure she had known before she wound up losing her memory. "You were in a war?" she asked looking at Shen and then all of them. "Did all of you work together in the war?" She asked and looked at Revy in curiosity

ic: Shen would have to remember to try and keep their physical contact to a minimum. That meant he'd have to keep from hugging her or touching her too much. He could only imagine how scared she was. She had a bruised up body and had been shot twice. He didn't blame her for being wary. When they got to the kitchen Dutch, Benny, and Revy were all sitting down. Shen walked up to their table to join them. "Hows the arm?" Dutch asked. Shen smiled. "I'll live." he stated. Benny looked up flashing Kate a smile as he patted the open seat next to him. Revy, who had her dirty boots on the table, sat back enjoying her cigarette. "I wished I could have seen you go ape shit on Lin..." She groaned. Shen frowned. "Its not something I'm proud of..." he mumbled. "No, but you were close to being the old you, the soldier I met you would do anything to live. You came within a step of being the man who was named Desert Tiger by his enemies." Revy pushed, which earned her a sharp glare from Shen. "Those days are over. I never enjoyed killing. Thats why I became a medic in the first place. I just...did what had to be done."

Well...there was the proof...she knew him...or at least she used to know him. She looked up at him as he stood up and blinked as he leaned down. On relfex she pushed him away and glared at him after he kissed her cheek. She blinked and calmed herself. "S-sorry..." She said while trying to maintain her anger. She had no reason to be....he was a friend...she...well used to know him...enough to sleep with him apparently... When e asked about food she put her hand to her stomach and nodded. "Yeah a little" she said. She couldnt remember when she last ate either... She stood up to follow him down to the kitchen

For a moment, a genuine smiled graced Shen's lips. Feeling Kate leaning into him made him feel that maybe, just maybe there was hope. However, it all came crashing down soon after. Not even the pictures were enough to jog her memory. Maybe she would never get it back. "Its ok." Shen whispered. He placed his phone back into his pocket and let out a small sigh. "I'm not putting any pressure on you to remember...at least I'm going to try not to. Right now your health and safety is all that matters." Shen whispered. He looked at her and leaned in placing a tender kiss on her cheek. "Everything else...well...its not as important." he replied softly and tried to summon the strongest smile he could. "Anyway, are you hungry at all? I was thinking of going down into the kitchen. I haven't ate since...the day before yesterday I think."

Kathrine leaned into him, her shoulder and arm pressing against his as she leaned to see the pictures. No doubt the girl in the photo was her... She took his phone from his hand and traced her fingertips over the last image. She had to most loving smile on her face while Shen was next to her sleeping. "....I...cant remember..." She said and handed his phone back to him. "I'm sorry....but...none of its familiar..." She said

Shen was pretty much finished checking on her wounds. He threw away the dirty bandages and was about to head back into his room. He paused at the door way, hearing her bring up pictures. Shen turned completely caught off guard by the topic. It actually took him a few minutes to snap out of his trance. "um..yea I've got a few." he smiled and reached into his pocket to pull out his phone. He sat down on the bed next to her so she could see. The first photo he had was them on their first date together. Shen had turned the lobby of his apartment into an elegant candle lit restaurant. The two of them were posing in a booth, their fingers interlocked. "We were really happy in this one." he stated and flipped through a few more before coming to the pic she had sent him of the two of them sleeping..well Shen was sleeping, but was cuddled up against Kate while she took the picture. "You sent me this maybe..two hours before I met you for the first time in a year."

Kathrine looked up at the ceiling as she tried to remember any of what he was telling her but nothing came to mind. When he mentioned that her parents were dead she just looked at him. "Ah.....I see..." She said passivly. Its not like it was anyones fault right? not his anyway...it sounded like he had never met them. "Shen..right? um....Do you....have any pictures of us.....together I mean...Tini mentioned it might help but I dont have a phone...or at least I didnt when I woke up..." She said

"Yes you have...although it was by mistake." Shen laughed. He really preferred to think about to happy times then the situation he was currently in. "My mother loved you. She still does. She took you out in a girl's day. You two got your nails done and she bought you what must have been six grand in clothing. She got you earrings too if I remember correctly. My father...well he's hard to impress." Shen sighed. When she asked him about her own parents he paused and moved back a little. Hadn't she been given enough bad news for one day? Shen rubbed the back of his neck while clearing his throat. He had no choice. He had to be honest. "You told me...that your parents died a few years back. I'm sorry..."

She looked up, but only saw his chest as he spoke. "I dont...feel any different...other than not knowing anything about myself...." She said and looked at him as he took a knee in front of her. He did have an amazing body...he was handsome... now that she took the time to look at him calmly. His personality....she couldnt really decide yet. As he mentioned his parents she looked at him. "I.....I've met your parents?" she asked looking at him and then looked down for a moment. "...Where are my parents? do they live near my school?" She asked

"Hmm...the blow you suffered to the head doesn't look that serious. However, when dealing the brain often injuries will be internal. I really need to get you scanned, but wont be able to until we're back in the states. Tho..if we're really going to china maybe I can call in a favor. I still know allot of people living in the capital." he stated and rewrapped her head gently. "Hope we dont meet my parents." Shen smiled a little and took a knee in front of her again. His finger tips gently slid up along her cheeks. He turned her head slowly from side to side trying to see if any resistance had formed within her neck from the accident. "They're not thrilled that I abandoned their plans to take over. Also, for a year my mother hasn't stopped asking about you."

Kathrine looked at him as he spaced ut before pulling himself together. She watched as he checked her bullet wounds, rubbing them after he finished bandaging them. When he suddenly leaned forward to check on her head she blinked as his chest and abs sat right in her face. Her bright hues glanced up and down his well toned chest...his abs. A blush crossed her cheeks but her eyes softened slightly as his scent surrounded her. She felt....relaxed....This....this felt a little familar...

"I'm not...that weird." Shen stated with a small smile. "Its just our history that makes it seem that way. Tho...I believe thats not the first time you've called me weird so its fine." he admitted. Shen was ready to check her wounds, but when he saw all the dark bruises going down her legs and between her thighs his body completely froze. His mind went back to those five hours he had been forced to watch as Katherine was ravaged. How little by little her very soul had been destroyed to the point that she had forced herself to forget. "I.." he whispered, his hands trembling as his finger tips traced over some of her bruises. This was the second time she had been attacked and the second time he'd been powerless to stop it. "I'm fine." Shen whispered. He looked back opening his med skit and slowly cut her old bandages off. He cleaned both bullets wounds before re-wrapping them. "Good news is your wounds aren't infected. They will be sore for a while tho." he told her and rose to his feet. "I'm going to examine your head now. Make sure you stay still for me." Shen whispered. He leaned forward cutting away at her bandage. While he did so she'd have a nice up close and personal view of his muscled chest and rock hard abs. Shen never had stopped to put his shirt on after he had fininshed treating his own wounds.

Kathrine sat up and glared at him as he told her to removed her pants. She leaned over and pulled the pants up over her thighs. "This will do just fine..." She said while eyeing him. "Geez....you weird for a doctor.." She said as she looked down at him. There were bruises all the way down her legs from where the goons have been grabbing and pulling at her legs to open them. She tilted her head as she looked at him. "You okay?" She asked

"I can do that." Shen replied softly. He walked back into his room to get the med kit he had been using. When he came back, he took a knee in front of her. "I'll start with the bullet wounds. I need you to take off your pants." he stated and rather bluntly too. His eyes then quickly shot up to Kate's. "I mean strictly as a doctor. I'm not...hitting on you." he he replied softly and looked down for a moment. He found himself doing allot of that.

Kathrine jumped back onto her bed and let out a sigh and blinked. Yelling...had actually made her feel a lot less tense. "Its.....fine.....I'm sorry...I'm just really edgy.... to be honest, yelling at you just now made me feel a lot more relaxed..." She said and sat up, looking at him with wary eyes. "Plus....you said you were going to check my wounds...they've been bugging me..." She said while rubbing her thighs

Shen took another big step back. His eyes widened as she began to poke him and back him all the way across the room. He had seen Kate mad, but never this hot. When his back hit the wall, his eyes widened even more. It honestly hadn't been his intention to make her this upset. His eyes lowered to the floor giving her a silent nod before she turned. "I'm sorry." he stated, his eyes now on her back. "I wasn't trying to upset you..and I wasn't bragging. Its just..I dont know what to do Kate. There's so much I need to tell you and so much I'm afraid to tell you. I just..." Shen whispered. He paused rubbing the back of his head as he closed his eyes again. Maybe what she needed was space. "Look...I'll find another room. You should be fine as long as I'm across the hall or something. I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable. Really...I am."

Kathrine put on her clothes and froze as he made an offer to let her see him naked. She growled and flung the door open and started poking him in the chest as she back him across the room. "Why would I wanna see you naked! What I dont like is how you so blantenlty brag about how you have seen me naked before when I dont remember ever even showing you my body! Have some respect and shut up! I dont wanna hear stuff like that unless I ask about it! I dont care who the hell you are, I dont care if we fucked every which way for how ever many hours! Unless I ask about it, I dont wanna know!!!" She yelled as she ended up backing him into the wall glaring up at him. "Just lay off!" She yelled and turned

Shen took a small step back when she came out. He opened his mouth to speak, but closed it after being bombarded with Kate's...disapproval. "Sorry." he replied softly, tho the door had already slammed on his face. He had to try again! "What if!?"Shen called and pressed his ear to the door again. "What if I let you see me naked? That would make us equal right? I dont mind, I mean I'm a little bruised from the explosion, but thats about it." he stated, still not really getting why she was so pissed.

Kathrine slapped her hand to her head as she leaned back against the door. Seriously?he ripped the door...off? A flustered blush crossed her cheeks when he tried to defend himself by using how he supposidly remembered her body perfectly. Grabbed a spare towel and opened the door and threw it at him. "Of course its still weird! Just because you remember it does mean I remember you looking at it you perv!" She yelled as she grabbed her clothes and slammed the door again.

Shen's eyes shifted back towards the bathroom door when he heard it open. His eyes darted down to her clothes which were laying on the bed. "Well..." Shen muttered as she walked towards the bathroom door. "I wont be able to get the door back on. So, if I left and went back into my room I'd still be able to see you. It might better for me to just hand you them." he replied softly through the door. Shen then paused for a moment. "Listen..I know this is awkward for you, but if it makes you feel any better I've seen you nude plenty of times. I know every inch of your body. So...this doesn't have to be weird...right?" Shen asked as he placed his ear to the door trying to see if he'd be able to hear better. "Kate??"

Kathrine was too flustered to even try and relax in a shower. She put the bra and panties back on and shut off the water. She wrapped the towel around her body and peeked out the bathroom door and shut it again when she saw Shen was still in the room. ">.<......can you bring my my clothes..." She growled lightly through the door. "Or leave....leaving would be better" She said
