Fire & Ice II: Age of Rebirth(private/mature/continued)

Kora struggled as the boss pulled her into his lap. "Let go..." she growled. Kora stared at the cocoon as it wrapped around Titus. "Let him go!" she yelled watching as the acid steamed. Hearing the boss's words she frowned. "Titus stop bu-" she froze as she was forced to stare intot he boss's eyes. "Is that supposed to be a compliment or an insult?" she snapped. Feeling his tongue she cringed. Why were people obsessd with licking her.

Soara rolled her eyes at Noel as he refused to get on her back. "That isn't it at all. If you recall you insisted that I sit in your lap for your warmth." She snapped back. At his next comment she finally went off. "Right well then why don't you just go!? If you don't want to be here and I am such a terrible monster and you hate me then don't stay! I'd rather find my own way than listen to your whiny ass!"

"Hahaha you're wasting your time wench." The boss laughed. He reached out for Kora pulling her into his lap. "Just look." he smirked pointing forward. "He's actually got some fight in him. It looks like he's created a barrier of intense fire to melt away the acid and keep his body safe. I wonder how long he can last though. You see, the more he burns away the acid the harder time he'll have breathing. My poison isn't just deadly to the touch." he laughed and pulled her closer into his lap. His left hand gripped hold of her chin as he examined her face. "You're not too bad for a human." the boss chuckled. He shot his long tongue out sliding it against her cheek. Titus, who could see everything that was going on outside, let out a wicked snarl. It was taking all his concentration to keep his barrier up, but watching the demon dare to run his tongue over Kora's cheek made him see literal shades of red.

"Dont wanna." Noel replied softly with a small huff. "I think you're getting too comfortable having me pressed up against you. I dont know..maybe you're getting off or something..but I've had enough." Noel muttered, though didn't care if she heard him or not. With her ears he figured she'd be able to hear every word he said. "Besides you're about...a day maybe two from the village. Its almost time for us to part ways anyway. I told you before, I refuse to help you any further then half way."

"Titus don't!" Kora ylled she didn't trust this demon and neither should Titus. "You can't trust them!" she froze though as the disguised demon covered Titus int he acid silk. "come on..." she muttered praying he'd make it out. If he didn't she had no idea what would happen to her.

Soara pulled on her clothes hapy to have them once again. The events of last night were still playing in her head and she wasn't sure if she was more happy or mad at this point. And of course to add to the matter Noel insisted on walking. Which slowed them down a lot. "Seriously....just get on my back you are slowing us down!"

Titus couldn't believe his eyes. The boss definitely wasn't human. Titus gazed at the creature with pure disgust. "Fine I'll play your game, but if I survive you'll let her go. Also, you have to promise not to harm her while I'm in this stupid cocoon." Titus spat. The boss stroked his chin. The game would be interesting to say the least. "Very well." he smirked. Suddenly, his lips parted and sheets of acid covered silk shot from the depths of his gut wrapping around Titus' body...

Meanwhile, Noel and Soara had already awakened and had got their clothes back. Noel secured his weapons and made sure that they were no where near the lumbering ogres. So far though, they hadn't said much of anything to each other. Noel's mind was still on the icy-hot sensation that Soara's lips had brought him. It wasn't right. He shouldn't have enjoyed a kiss from her. Hell, he never should have kissed her in the first place! She was a monster and stood for everything he hated. It was wrong, so very wrong! Sighing deeply, Noel kept his eyes ahead. He wasn't in the mood to ride on Soara's back. No..he had kinda had his fill of being super close to her. She was throwing off his concentration. He needed to stay sharp if he was gonna survive the trip and keep Soara and her brother out of his village.

Kora glared back at the man as he yelled at her. "Don't call me a wench you bastard!" she growled. She grit her teeth as he brought her over to the boss. Seeing him pull of the necklace se struggled even harder. "Give it back! Please!" she cried desperetly. "It's all I have left of them!" she yelled. The demon then turned to Titus. "Leave him alone!" she froze though as the boss devoured the girl. She shivered as the clothes fell tot he ground.

"Hold still wench!!!" The bandit yelled while she trashed about. The boss let out a cold laugh. "She's got fire. I like that." he smirked. "Let her go!!!" Titus yelled and was about to charge forward when the boss suddenly stood up. The bandit brought Kora over to his side. He reached out snatching the necklace from her neck inspecting it. "Hmm interesting." he smiled and looked back up at Titus. "Little man, what do you say we come to an agreement? You have nothing that I really want, but what I'm in desperate need of is entertainment. Ah! I know, how about we see just how long you can survive in a poison filled cocoon? If you can live for a minute without escaping and ill let you and the girl go. If you try to escape tho..." The boss smirked and snapped his fingers. One of the bandits suddenly brought over a girl they had found earlier. "PLEASE LET ME GO! WHATEVER I DID I'M SORRY!!" She pleaded as she was shoved into the bosses arms. He gazed down at her with an evil smile. Suddenly, he leaned in pressing his lips against her own. His eyes soon turned into slits though as he shoved his 2ft long tongue down into her throat! The poor girl gagged. Titus watched with horror as the girl's body began to grow more and more thin. He was eating her alive, sucking out her organs from the inside out. By the time the boss was done there were nothing both clothes left on the ground...

Kora saw Titus move forward as he attacked. A first she though she was safe but he was wrong. She felt the man grab her hand and push it behind her back. She let out a growl and struggled until the knife was held to her throat. She stomped on his foot trying to get him to let her go as he brought her towards the boss.

Titus whipped out bursts of flame around him and Kora. The men kept on coming, each trying to get a good angel on Kora, but Titus burned them all. One of the bandits came towards the shore with a bow. Before he could even get off a shot Titus leaped out of the water and drove his fist into the bandit's face. "Looks like you're almost out of men." Titus smirked looking over at the boss. "Tsk Tsk.." the boss smirked waving his finger at Titus. The hybrid blinked and looked back. One of the bandits had Kora's hand firmly pressed against her back while another held a blade to her throat. "Now you see there little man? You were so easily distracted by the thrill of a fight that you lost sight of who you were protecting." The bossed chuckled softly making Titus let out a wild snarl. "Bring her closer. I want a nice look at her."

Kora was surprised when he called her his human. Then however she smiled. For some erason she really liked it. seeing the men start towards her she clutched Titus's arm scared as they approched them.

"She's MY human! Go get your own!!!" Titus snarled. The boss let out a hard laugh. "You amuse me little man. I've never met a half demon who is attached to humans." he stated with a wide smirk as he handed one of his men his axe and took a seat on a stump. "Half demon?" Titus blinked. He glared at the boss before standing up straight and flexing his claws. "Heh. Does anything about me seem even remotely human?" Titus grinned and flexed his claws. "Enough.." the boss groaned feeling board with the banter he and Titus had going on. He snapped his fingers signaling more men to grab Kora.

Kora moved back beindTitus. "Please dont let them take it....l she whispered. Hearing the boss yel she moved closer to him. She was startingto get scared. They werent fooling around anymoe. At the mention of her being valueable she raised her eyebrows. Titus only valued her as a map right? That has to be right.

"Hey you heard the boss! He said he wants the necklace!!!!" One of the bandits shouted. titus looked back towards Kora seeing how she gripped it. "I dont think she wants to give it up." he smirked. The boss didn't appear amused though. "I warn you little man. I control whether or not you'll walk away alive. If you dont want to hand over the necklace...perhaps I should just take the girl instead?" he grinned gave the signal for his men attack. Titus extended his claws. He cut down the first two bandits that charged in and let out a vicious snarl. "Anyone who touches her will lose an arm!" he hissed. The boss sighed softly running his hand along the back of his head. "Well well...at first the girl was of no interest to me. But it seems that she's valuable to you. I think that makes me want her even more now.."

Kora moved closer to Titus. "I hope you're right..." she whispered. She watched as the boss and Titus exchanged words. It semed that they were just going to lave. she let out a sigh of relief. She began to step out from behind Titus but froze at the request. She gripped her necklace. "No..." she whispered. It was all she had of her parents.

"They're only humans..nothing I cant handle." Titus stated looking back at Kora. As the boss stepped forward Titus let out a small hiss. All the bandits were humans, but there was something definitely different about their boss. "Little man.." The boss grinned, his eyes scanning over both Titus and Kora. "Are you perhaps lost?" he asked. Titus let out a huff and stepped forward too. "We're just passing through. Its hot out so we decided to stop for a dip." he smiled. The boss's brow raised slightly. One of the bandits serving him ran over bringing over the jacket and shirt Titus had taken off. "Are you unarmed?" he asked, his dark eyes moving back over to Titus. "For the most part." Titus answered. The boss let out a deep sigh. He looked back to his men. Titus had nothing he wanted. He was about to turn around when he noticed the pendant hanging around Kora's neck. His eyes began to sparkle at the sight. "Little man, hand over that necklace that girl is wearing." he ordered. Titus's ears flattened against his head. He started backing up so he was closer to Kora. "What if I dont?"

Kora gve a small giggle as Titus surfaced but it was short lived. Looking around she frowned at all the missing animls. Then she spotted the cause o their disappearence. she didnt object to Titus's order as she went to stand bhind him. The badit eyeing her madeher uncomfortale and se was glad she decided to stay in all her clothes. "Titus...what are we gonna do? We are way outnumberedd." She whispered.

Titus pushed off from the body sending his body flying to the surface! He came up gasping for air too while looking around for Kora. However, as he looked he noticed that all the animals that had been drinking from the watering hole had vanished. Had their playing scared them off? No..the scent of humans filled the air. Before Titus realized it both he and Kora were completely surrounded by an army of bandits. "Well what we got here boys?" One of them grinned giving Kora a wide grin. "Kora come over her." Titus ordered, his ears lowering as he stood up. "Hey that boy's got cat ears...is some sort of half demon?" Another one of the bandits blinked. The men seemed unsure. "Lets find out." grinned the bandit who had been eying Kora with perverted eyes. He grabbed a large rock and sent it flying right towards Titus' head. The hybrid's eyes suddenly turned into sharp slits. Fire completely consumed the rock before it could reach his face. The bandits jumped back grabbing their swords. "Better get the Boss.." one of them mumbled while taking a few steps back while the rest stood aside. Titus' ears twitched. It was too hot to deal with bandits. When the 'Boss' came up from the back though his eyes widened slightly. He tilted his head up sniffing the air around the human. Something was off. "Whats going on here?" The bossed asked, his voice booming with authority over the bandits. He was dressed in a pink robe that hung over his armor. Unlike the other bandits, he also carried what had to be the largest axe Titus had ever seen "Sir, we found these two playing around in the water. The boy with the ears...he's able to use fire. We think he's some sort of half demon or something."

"Hey! This isn't fair!" Kora yelled. Seeing him go under water she went under as well. She managed to barely make it to the bottom and touch him before quickly surfacing. Gasping for air she swam trhough the water and away from Titus.

Titus let out a hard laugh. He dove underwater again quickly catching up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. "Slow poke."he grinned and stuck his tongue out at her before diving back under. He went all the way to the bottom of the watering hole where there were a couple of large sized rocks. He looked up wondering how long Kora could hold of her breath and if she'd be able to dive all the way down to reach him.

Kora gave him a apologetic smile. "Sorry..." she ran a han through her wet hair. When he dove under and popped back up she yelled. Then landed underwater. Standin she coughed "you jerk" she yelledplayfully. Swimming through the water. Diving uner she lightly tapped his leg before quicly swimmin away. "Your it!" She yelled surfering.

"Hmm...I guess we'll just have to figure out something else.." Titus sighed softly. He really, really didn't wanna travel during the day, but if he had no other option he'd have to. "For now tho.." he smirked and suddenly dove under the water. The watering hole was pretty deep in the center. His body suddenly came up right under Kora's! "Tag!" Titus grinned lifting her out of the water and tossing her a few feet making a big splash. "Come on lets see what a human can do!" Titus smirked. They were making good time, why not play a little?

Kora frowned at the idea of not having water to bring with them. When he mentioned traveling at night shrugged. "Never tried it really...I can't see if going very well though..." she admitted. She couldn't see well at night for a human she could but for his level not at all.

"I have a small canteen...though the water inside wont last for long." Titus mumbled keeping his eyes closed. The water felt so good to his skin. Even some of the other animals were swimming near the banks of the watering hole. "Hey how well can you navigate during night? That may just be our only option." Titus replied softly, though it came out as more of a purr. He was in heaven! Nothing could be better then this

Kora smiled as Titus joind her. "That sounds great..." se said clearly enjoying herself. Swimming through the water she submerged herself before coming bac up. Her hair now clingin to herneck and back. "I wish we had something to carry waterin." She culdnt imagine contnueing wit how hot it is.

Titus had stripped off most of his clothes but had left on his pants. He followed Kora doing a cannon ball that shot water everywhere. The cool sensation of the water felt amazing! Titus could instantly feel his body cooling down. "Now this is what I'm talking about." he moaned floating on his back past Kora, his feet lightly kicking water behind him. "Lets just spend a little time here. I think either of us will last too long in this heat.."

Kora was getting extrmely tired and hot from all the walking. She barely made it to the watering hole. Once Titus scanned the area until he knew it was safe. Finally she ran to the water and jumped inside. It felt amazing she was swimming and drinking at the same time.
